The title says it all. Should I buy newborn clothing or 0-3m?

Some 0-3m looks huge

I'm not too concerned about spending more if the newborn sizes will last about 6 weeks.

So all new moms... what sizes have you bought?

More experienced moms... what sizes have you bought or what sizes do you suggest?

Could you give the advantages and disadvantages please..? :?

buy 0-3 ebony. they look huge for a week then baby fills out. if you buy all newborn then baby won't be in them five minutes.
also people tend to buy you newborn too. so is not like you'll not have anything.

I would get a few newborn things just incase shes a little'en, I have just got a few baby grows, sleeping suits and hats and a couple of outfits nothing much, but I have lots of 0-3 which has been given to me.

As far as I can remeber with my little brothers and sisters and my best m8s little boy he was in new born for about 3 weeks he grew very quickly.

I agree with budge, i have got mostly 0-3 months but then i have bought job lots of newborn girly bits off ebay really cheap cos they wont be in them long xxx

If in doubt ebony, buy Asda George 0-3 months they are quite small. Next and Tesco are at the larger end of 0-3 months but Asda is pretty small.

Some of my nicest clothes were from Asda, next isnt as good as it used to be I dont think.

The only newborn thing I have bought is a little pink dress thing and a pair of tights to bring her home in (and vests socks and sleepsuits of course) but all the rest of my stuff is 0-3. Mainly because they arent in newborn clothes all that long so sleepsuits and vests will do until the 0-3 fit.

Jade, you will find that when the baby is born there is an overwhelming desire to dress them in something completly over the top every day. Something that takes about 20 mintutes to put on. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I find Next newborn clothes come up quite big,i have just bought a few of each size and i have also got a few sleepsuits from marks and spencer as they do the size up to 1 month which is good, just don't go crazy now hun and wait and see how big baby is :D xx

hehe well i'm just not that patient...popper buttons on sleepsuits p*** me off, I always do them up wrong lol! I'm sure i'll get used to it.

I bought 0-3 months and basically Rowan cant wear them as they are sooooooo huge I cant actually locate him in them. Having said that he disappears in newborn clothes too!
I've found EVERYONE keeps buying me 3-6 months so I dont actually have much which fits him at all!

I've got a few newborn things, but the majority is 0 - 3 months.

Aww poor Rowan being swamped in all those too big clothes!

I bought loads of newborn clothes before Zack was born and he didnt end up fitting in them :( Not making that mistake again... ive bought all 0-3 months this time :cheer:

Even if baby fits into newborn when born hun, chances are they will only be in them for a week or so. Best spend your money on 0-3 :D they last longer

I only had newborn and 0-3 last time, had to go buy a whole wardrobe of tiny baby which lasted him 6-8 weeks in the end!

go t car boot or ebay you can get loads of great clothes - hardly worn that are 80% cheaper than in store.

I would get a couple of newborn baby gros but i wouldn't bother with 'clothes' like t shirts shorts etc, as you will be changing their clothes afew times a day.
Then concentrate on 0-3 month stuff, but size vary between stores.

dont do second-hand

dont trust ebay... so i think ill do primark/george for a few newborn...

but mainly 0-3months

thnx ladiz

I have bought pretty much all 0-3, I only have a few vests in newborn! So many people who I have spoken to have said they are not worth it and to stock up on 0-3. If baby is early or small il just send mum and Rich out shopping!

yeah, My mum told me not to buy newborn just yet, she's giving me some money after the birth so if I need newborn clothes I can go and get some or send OH, It's funny, he's actually got good taste in baby clothes lol!
