The new kindle fire hd

Hi,
Does anyone knw anything about the new kindle fire hd (uk) is the only benefit to being aAmazon Prime customer that you can borrow one book a month?. I know in the US you can streamline movies (whatever that means).
I am really not technical
My daughter is 9 and is always on her I pod (loves music and the games) so I thought she would like the kindle fire for Christmas as she also loves to read. She would love to watch movies etc too on trips etc but just wondered if it works out too expensive if you have to buy each film?
Anyone know anything about them???

I got the kindle touch last week. I didn't get the kindle fire as I thought it was too much like an iPad which I already have. I really just wanted to use it to read. Also I think the kindle touch is much more like a book iykwim? I didnt want the feeling of reading off another computer. Sorry that's probably not much help!

I've got one on order for DH, I have the iPad3. Depends what you want to use it for. If you want to use for entertainment it's much better than the Nexus, if you want to use it for more work based stuff, the Nexus is better because of its versatility. Hth
