The Clomid Thread - 6 BFP's!

Well, today's ov test was lighter than yesterday's, binned it again and decided not to keep a photo journal this time, I don't want to get too caught up with them. Yesterday I had sharp pains on my right side and I can feel them again on my left.

Not sure what to make of it so just going to keep BDing every other day and pray!!

Either I've started testing too early and the Clomid's just .. (for want of a better phrase) settling into my system and I've yet to ov, which is what I reckon's happening, or I've oved early... Which I find hard to believe although I've read it can happen so who knows?

My Ovulation pains on the 1st February were so bad I couldn't walk, I was leaning over the sofa every 30 seconds in pain, till I phoned the emergency doctors as it was midnight. They said oh we will send a doctor to come and have a look at you. Next thing I know 2am two paramedics were knocking on my door to pick me up in an ambulance! They said Are you aware you going into hospital I was like Erm NO! I was told a doctor was coming out. They just Said no and they had cleared a space at the hospital for me. I thought oh charming. So yeah my first ovulation after coming off the pill was really bad. And the pains you are talking about I got in march after my positive OPK no where near as bad though thank the lord. I ended up with a line in my Arm hooked up to a drip of paracetamol and Buscopan! God know what the other two where cant remember. It was real scary if im honest.

Oh and the Ambulance guy who took care of me all the way to the hospital was fit! (40mins :smug:) Awkward with OH behind me!!! Just thought Id say something positive from my hospital visit!

Are you on a medicated cycle pink diamond as there is no way ov pain would be so bad u are doubled over and need to go to hospital. If it was a medicated cycle I hope the docs checked you for overstimulation??

No I was not on anything. Im on herbals at the moment. As far as im aware the hospital did all the necessary test. And I had a scan Thursday and nothing had change PCSO still the same. Going back to my GP Monday. Try to get some Clomid. an GP'S give it to you. He knows I have PCSO and its recored al lthe issues were having, Ive even got my OH on mens Vitamins and booking in for a sperm count  Sorry.

Good glad you got checked out properly. Clomid can only be prescibed by a consultant not a gp unless its a repeat prescription if u know what I mean. Has ur gp referred u to the fertility clinic?

Hi there!

I went to my GP today too, And Got to have a load of bloods done before he can send me to a fertility specialist, Will be going Wednesday Morning to have blood taken they to check my hormone levels, althought im terrible with blood tests and feel sick and fgaint sometimes.. :-(

I have PCSO so I am hoping for Clomid too. If you don't mind me asking how long did you have to wait for your appointment with the fertility specialist? And how to they know if you are eligible for Clomid, do you have to see them more than once or can you walk away first time with Clomid? Sorry to ask but I was wondering as I have just started this journey

Good Luck And baby dust

Hey pink diamond,

I was trying for over a year and got referred with my first appt back in march. My bloods had been mainly done by the GP but the fertility wanted more doing. My progesterone was borderline so they wanted two more cycles (I'm on hols so would be at least 3 months or more and then a wait for appt) so I bit the bullet and paid to see the consultant privately. It's cost me 175 to see him but I'm glad I did as I'm now further along.

I'm going back the nhs route and he said an hsg would be next but it's a few months to wait so as he's not sure if I ov then I can try the clomid. Am so glad as I've always felt spotting wasn't right etc so I'm praying it may help. Obviously I've no Ida right now if my tubes are blocked etc.

How long have you been trying and how old are you if you don't mind me asking?? I would get all your bloods done by a GP (day 3, day 21) and see if they can refer you. You could always say you have been trying for a while?? don't worry about the blood tests, I had none til I got in my 30's and was nervous but you can't even feel them. And if you do get preggers there will be worse than that to come ha ha

I hope you can get everything sorted x

Quick update, got a smiley face on digi ov test but lines weren't very dark so really not convinced. Have still BDed every other day though.

CD9,10 were darkest ov tests, got slightly lighter cd11 and 12's went darker, cd13 got smiley face on digi, cd14 cheapie was lighter and not tested yet today but will see..

Not sure what to think as always used to get smiley faces, sometimes 4 in a row when I wasn't oving so really unsure whether to believe it or not. Will keep using the cheapies just in case and BDing of course.

Hope you're all well ladies.

Yesterday I had what may have been ov pains? I had crampy feelings on my left side, it felt hot as well? Defo had something going on yesterday so we BDed just in case. My ov test was ok, line was pretty much as they have been so am really cynical about them and whether it's all working properly but I'm trying to keep my PMA hat on and pray for the best.

We've been good with the BDing this cycle, DH wasn't up for BDing on cd13 which is when I got the smiley face but we BDed on CD14 and 15 so should be fine. :)

Going to keep using my ov tests though so will see what today's brings.

After the crampy feelings I expected a good line on my ov test today.. It was ok... Not positive though. I still reckon my darkest were the ones I posted the pics of.

*Sigh*

Miss J i would say trust the digi and see how you get on from there.

I'll be joining you with the testing again soon as the witch arrived fully today!! Last cycle of 50mg starts tomorrow :) x

I've been doing some reading and apparently you're not meant to read the lines on the digi ov tests. And it seems a few people don't get really dark lines when they get smiley faces so who knows? I'll keep the day in mind and do a cheapie when I can.

In theory, if I got my smiley on CD13, that means I'm in the 2ww? So what DPO would I be?

I'm not feeling well at all, feel full of a cold. :(

We didn't get to BD on CD13 either come to think of it. I think we did CD11, 14 and 15 though.

Sorry she arrived hun but at least you know where you are now, I remember the ov tests messing you around. :hugs: x x

Oh hun - i'm bloody glad shes arrived! I feel like im back in with a chance now!

No your not supposed to read those lines. Have you got any pics of your cheapies? xxx

My lines on my digi's didnt show up dark even when I did get a smiley face so I wouldnt trust that method hun x

Really? Hmm. Then maybe it was a positive then?

I'll keep going with the cheapies anyway, just in case. Nicky, I haven't kept any of them or taken pics either. :dohh:
