We've been ttc for over 2 years now and I have to say that for me clomid has been good. My pcos has caused me not to ov and since I've been on the right dosage it has helped me ov. I guess it works different for different situations. Whether it will get me my BFP remains to be seen but I will keep my fingers crossed until I have to move on to the next treatment.

im the same as eclaire, i had ridiculous irregular cycles before going on clomid which drove me mad (longest cycle was 80 days!!! impossible to pinpoint ovulationand bd at right time)....gynaecologist didnt think i was oving so prescribed me clomid....this is my 4th round now, my 1st round (50mg) my cycle was 37 days...2nd round (100mg) was 36 days.....and 3rd round (100mg) was 30/31 days....so its not only shortned my cycles but also im getting positive opks and blood tests confirm im ovulating..like eclaire said whether i conceive on clomid is another matter.

gynaecologist did say to me tho clomid can be detrimental for some girls so its not for everyone i guess

hope we all get our bfps really soon girls!!, with or wthout assistance xxx

Oh dont get me wrong i think its great for anyone with problems ov'ing but i was perfectly fine with my cycles and ov'ing before clomid and now its balls it all up for me!xxx

That's great it's shortening your cycles Bella, 1st round at 50mg didn't seem to have any effect with me 2nd round 100mg 31 days and I'm currently on CD 31 and awaiting AF...or not! I've been having cramps on and off for about 5/6 days with yesterday feeling worse. I haven't spotted this month which I guess could be a good thing - last month I spotted on CD30 and CD31 before full flow the next day. I'm going to keep holding out as long as possible before I test as I'm convinced AF is in her way. x

i keep daydreamin abt doin a test n its 2lines, really thought it was are month this month but dnt think it is now. i kept gettin twinges n pulls but now theve turned into af type pains.
was on the phone upset to hubby before he was like uv not come on yet it mght still happen but men jus dnt understand xx

yeh i know wot u mean...my whole family were certain we wer pg last month (they dont usually build their hopes up)...soen i was saying af is going to come they wer all lke u dont know that yet and hubby was like stop being negative...then af came and they were all shocked

im only 10dpo ish so suppose at least its a shorter cycle than the last couple months.
iv told hubby today that wen we go bck in dec im not gonna hav the higher dosage, iv been like atickin bomb this month so dread to think what ill be like with a higher dosage

Thanks Bella, I hope so too. I think the next step for us is icsi, I think I remember my Dr saying this. Hoping I don't need it though! Feels like I'm never going to get my bfp!!

ah i was gonna say if ur on 100 i woodnt go up to 150....i queried it with my gynaecologist and he said he woodnt recommend gog up to 150 as it can make conceiving even harder (baffles me mind lol)

yeh side effects have beenalot worse on 100 to the cycle i was on 50...im used to it now tho as on 3rd round of 100 (so 4th clomid cycle altogether)....as i sit here typing now im having a hot flush, horrible
