The baking soda gender prediction.

So I've just done this for a bit of fun and it fizzed that means boy right ? Lol I was sure this lo would be a girl I'm only 10+3 and won't be finding out till baby's born , how accurate was it for those that did it ? X

I found this really confusing as mine fizzed initially but went flat really quickly? It certainly didn't froth up like a fizzy drink though, I've seen a few boy ones on youtube that looked totally different to mine, so maybe I was just being pedantic!!!

The Chinese gender predictor was right though, as was the old wives tale about the linea nigra (mine just goes to my belly button, and I have a girl on board)

Il check out Chinese predicter see what that says I looked on utube n the girl ones didn't fiz at all but the boy ones fizzed , mine fizzed up like wen u pore out a drink of pop n have to wait for it to settle lol x

Well that says boy aswel it asked what month conception happened , I ovulated at the end of August but conceived in September so I put September x

I did 2 gender tests just for fun - the fizz test - I didn't go too mad but definitely fizzed - so I thought boy. Then I did the wedding ring on a piece of string dangled over belly (moved side to side rather than circular loop) which means boy... AND the Chinese gender testing, said boy too. It was just for fun, and lets face it they can be 50% right after all.

I succumbed to an early gender scan in the end... and we ARE having a boy...

Same here, bi-carb was right though. Guess these things have to be right half the time x

So far I did one at 7 weeks which was completely flat so thought girl, then did another one this week fizzed lots then did another one today and flat..... So I was originally going with girl but not so sure now.. Maybe I have one of each in there, lol! X

Worked for me, no fizz and was a girl

I just did it with bicarbonate of soda. The stuff I had in was a bit out of date, not sure if that matters.
It didn't do anything at first, really flat, then a little bit of froth came to the top but not much.
Team yellow so we shall see!

Yeh I might try again in a few days too with FMU and baking powder instead of bicarb x

It frothed up like a pint of lager for me which is supposed to mean boy. However 4-D scan and subsequent scans have shown the opposite. xxx

I've just tried this with baking powder and it fizzed loads. Not sure if it matters that it was baking powder or not tho x

bicarb test was right for me - as long as the gender scan was right that is, lol

Was right for me girls.
I've got three girls and was sure I'd be having more pink. Mine fizzed and looked like a int if lager with a head. Which means boy.

I coaxed dh to let me find out this time and yep. We're having a BOY !
