SMEP - who is using this/or has been sucessfull with this

I'm 11dpo all BFN at the mo... Sometimes feel af is on her way sometimes don't... Definitely in limbo ATM! Due on tomorrow but my cycles range between 29-31 max and I never go over that but I reckon af will be here on the dot, really thirsty and got a headache though Plus feel worn out but then I do feel like this normally before af... Feel really fat tummy wise... Like I really need the loo or full up with gas ? Cramps are for second and all over the normal area but do get pains on my left side, not bad pains more twinges? May just be my mind though hope u girls are doing well!! Xx

AF seems to have arrived, will be in full swing tomorrow I think.

OH and I will try this, OV should coincide with the BH Monday at the end of August.

Hey Taffy, sorry you're having such a long wait for OPK, bit sucky, but don't give up. I've started the opks tonight, a bit later than SMEP suggests, but never had a positive before CD 14 (now CD11) and usually CD15-6. Started the BD and enjoying so far but had a good week off and missed DH last week so not too much effort yet - I'm sure next week might feel a bit different!

Itsbabytime - keep the symptoms posted! Hope you have a good 2ww hun

Kanga - hope the antibiotics get things sorted out for you, I ended up needing 2 weeks of antibiotics after D&C in feb - was a horrible month, and got negative OPKs for 2 cycles after that too. Hopefully you will get some +s before that.

Babybo - have fun !! Good call saving energy for the 6 day stretch!

Well I feel completely pants after this evening. We've just been out for drinks with OH family and his cousin announces his wife's pregnant. Now don't get me wrong she's had multiple mc's so I am over the moon for them but I'm also gutted and wanted to burst into tears. It didn't help that everyone kept looking at me saying 'you're next'. After getting another negative on opk that kinda tipped me over the edge.

Ho hum, now I've just got to get my head together and keep bding!! Am still positive but after having a wobble lately I really appreciate all your support.

Oh taffy i totally understand, people are just being nice and jokey but when you are actally ttc and you get a bfn or -opk its hard. i had the same at a wedding last month. aarrgghh

Ladies I have a problem. i am 99% sure i have ovulated and in 2ww wait now but....becauase i am a poas addict i have peed on a superdrug and a cb digi opk today. the superdrug is still mega positive! (I'm not misreading them.) WTF!! and the cb digi is negative. I know i touched on this a few posts ago but it is driving me crazy. should i go with the digi results or the superdrug ones? all cm has dried up and i have no interest in sex anymore so that makes me think that i have finished ovulating... but bloody superdrg tests keep saying they are detecting a surge. to clarify

I'm thinking I ov on Sunday when I had all those pains but I had a negative opk and temp was the same as other days??
I'm due to ov tomoz so my prodigious says and I've not even had the slightest of change in cm or opk colour or pains today??? I have had a horrid headache for two days though

Hate all thus guessing work!

Didn't BD last nite. Was actually glad of a night off lol!! Oh actually said can we just sleep!! Hahaha xx

Eliviasmummy I think it is possible to miss ov one a year, but not sure how true this is. And I'm not sire of the causes just one of those things probably.

Itsbabytime did u not do digi opk on cd19 and cd20? I know it is possible to have pos opk's for a couple of days, so I would still go with the dig's and take cd20 of ov day, so cd21 as 1dpo if that makes any sense. But keep bd'ing just incase!

Taffy big hugs to u it is hard when people say that to u, or ask u when u are going to start trying especially when ur keeping quiet. Just let it all out to us and I really hope u ov soon

kanga and babybo - i think we will jst keep bding just incase. i just hate not knowing for definate. i just did another superdrug test and still posotive. its messing with my head. I will go by the digi tests and take day 21 as 1dpo. i didnt take a digi test on day 19 and 20 (if i did i cant remember lol). My chart on TCOYF has day 22 as 1dpo so its close

Right enough of my fraking out this month.... I promise. I am now in 2ww officially YEAHHH and am today 3dpo.

Hi girls... Just a question, my periods are quite heavy and have clots too (sorry tmi) they are massive clots but aren't small either, never had this before I had my little girl she's 2 now though. I'm very regular and hardly ever get painful cramps? Is it a bad sign fertility wise though? X

I think its quite normal to feel down when AF shows - I always do, not only has that month not worked, you also have an uncomfortable time to boot!

I get on with cheapies just fine, but my surge appears quite clear on them. I think its more difficult if you get some fainter lines all through the month - mine stay white until the surge then go quite dark for 2 days. The cheapies only measure LH, I think the CB monitor also measures oestrogen levels, so hence more accurate.

Thanks it's just last month was my first with cheapies and I got nothing then faint faint darker then nothing over 3 days so maybe I did ovulate early? Seeing as my cycle was 28 days in stead of the very regimented 29-30 max! X

I think i know why I had so many positives on the superdrug opks. i thought the instructions were to dunk for 30 seconds but turns out was only to dunk for 10 seconds. could over dunking have led to false positives?

regarding all the questions on cheap or not cheap opks. i like the cb digis - a straight forward yes or no. they are expensive but hopefully worth it! if you do use the cheapies combining them with cm monitoring and temps and you should get a good overall view of your cycle. I do all three and despite my woopsie with dunking too long! i know i have ovulated and and on what day due to my cm dry up and temp shift.
