Oh I am sooooo confused! OH and I have been team yellow ever since finding out and I have been telling everyone this. Now my scan is due this Friday and I can't help but think, am I changing my mind???

I don't want to find out for 'practical' reasons like what to buy as that takes all the magic out of it, would just like to know whether I will have a son or a daughter.

I guess it's easy to say these things until the big day is approching and I keep thinking about the pros and cons of both but just can't decide... HELP!!! :wall2:

aw i dont envy you being team yellow im just to imatient and wanted to know lols either way hope your scan goes well iv got one on tues im sooooooo excited

not a chance i regret finding out its a boy in there. but i cant say to anyone else what to do..
why dont you say to your OH that you are not sure what you want and let him decide?

My oh wanted to stay team yellow but i talked him in to finding out and hes not regreting it either. But he wont go as far as havin a 3/4d scan cuz he says that is too much even knowin what baby look like.

Thanks ladies, my OH likes the 'ask him' suggestion.. lol.

my sister didnt find out cuz her OH didnt want to (she did) and she said to me even now when her boy is 9 month, that she would have changed it if she could and found out. so she have told her OH next one they def will find out.

I didn't find out with lacey and it was horrible not knowing during pregnancy but the birth experience was so exciting not knowing! I don't regret not finding out at all! This time we've found out for finacial reasons! It's completly up to you what you want to do, only you can decide! Goodluck with your scan x x

We were the same, wanted to stay team yellow up until about 2 weeks before the scan and that was it, I just couldn't not find out. DH could have stayed team yellow but agreed to do what I wanted. We've both been so much more excited about everything since finding out and he said he feels much more involved now as he can picture his little daughter and talk about her like she's real (which of course she is!!)

I was gonna be team yellow but decided I wanted to know I had a feeling it was another boy anyway lol x

I am the most impatient person and it has been so hard being adamant that I don't want to find out the sex. They said I could know after the amnio and I said no. When they phoned me with the first set of results they asked again and I said no. My 20 week scan isn't until the 8th of July and my sister will most definitely have had her baby by then (due this weds). She's team yellow and it's been so much fun not knowing. I'm hoping I can stay strong and not give in at the 20 week scan because I really want it to be a surprise. Everyone I know seems to find out and I have this hope that when it comes to the birth, my husband will tell me whether we have a son or daughter as he/she is born. I think that will be nice and special for him. I've just got to keep my gob firmly SHUT at the next scan!

Good luck serenitylove, post the piccys won't you!!

Rayoflight, you so sound exactly like I did up until a couple of days ago, I can kinda see both views now and it's hard but I think I have to stick what I have been saying for the past 16wks...

I am pleased we haven't found out. At this point I don't think I would with the next one either... :flower:

we wanted to find out originally, but after speaking to friends that had stayed team yellow, we decided it would be a fantastic surprise when they make an appearance :)

dont get me wrong, i do sometimes think it would be nice to know, but every1 i know has said if you dont find out your labour is quicker cos u push harder to find out what it is,lol

SIL is desperate for us to find out (her lil girl is 9months) and she found out and thinks we should because technology is there now to find out, lol

but nope we are team yellow to the end, and i cant wait :-)

xxx

We haven't found out - and we're both really glad :-) We had a private 4D scan as well so it was very hard staring at our baby on a screen for 20mins without asking the sonographer to sneak a peek! Hehe!
I was a little bit gutted for a week or so afterwards for not finding out but now the time has flown by and i'm counting down the days until we find out whether i've been carrying a mini me or mini OH! lol x
