sharp/slightly stabbing pains in womb area

Just a quickie...

I have been getting pains in my womb area, and today I have wondered if they are going to get worse. They have been on and of slightly shooting and some stabbing pains and like my bladder is going to burst; I have had period like aches for a few days before today, I know baby has turned at last; is this anything to be concerned about or no...

im having the same and i am 33wks sure its because he's turned. This my third and although i cant remember comparing to the others by exact wks i remember the turning well. When baby drops its like fireworks goin off sudden pain down below as he emerges into the pelvis. Then you get twitching nerve pains as your not used to such pressure down there before and you constantly have to go for a wee. As your bladder is sooo pressed and go little but often. And walking gets harder. I have really big babies both 9 pounds so im pretty sure when its starts to get cramped they head south.

Dont worry the nerves pains and bladder pressure is completely normal after engagement and you only get used to it as it never goes away until they are born. Before engagement they are up in your bump and the pressure is completely different. I think your babies turned wants to find the exit xxxx

I don't think its anything to be concerned about. I got the exact pains while i could feel the baby moving down so maybe the baby is just getting ready. xxx

yeah like the others said it seems to be what happens when baby makes there way down. i had really horrible pain a couple of weeks ago and was told on friday baby is enagaged. although its quite painful try and see it as a good thing hun. xxx

I've had exactly the same! So uncomfortable in my hips / pelvis - feels like I've been riding a massively fat horse!!!!!

Not pleasant, I'm sooooo hoping I don't go full term and stay in this pain. (

I just had a terrible pain just below my bump, felt like it was going right through to around where my cervix is... Stabbing-ish sort of pain lasted about 10/20 seconds... With a really intense period-y type pain in my bump and it all went tight, like BH.... Scared the shit outta me! Was in the bath and called my OH through and burst into tears sitting holding his hand for a couple of minutes... Have been getting milder stabby pains ever since... Bloody hate pregnancy sometimes! xx
