Before pregnancy I was convinced that I will make love with my husband coz nothing bad will happen, and the happy hormones will do good to the baby.(first child)
At the begining of the pregnancy I had a nasty pain, doctor wanted to exclude an ectopic pregnancy so weeks passed by
after we found everything is ok we thought it's still to early to make love.
At my 12 weeks scan, they measured my cervix and it was 28mm long, they didn't say something is wrong but I've read that it should be over 3cm. Some women have even 4,5/5cm at the begining of pregnancy. I will have a private scan to monitor it again.
The thing is, in Uk they don't measure your cervix lenght unless you had previous problems, surgery on cervix etc.
My baby was low so they had to dio an internal scan so that's why they measured it.
but, if the lenght is shorter you have to rest on bed and not have sex/orgasm coz you may loose the baby between 16-22weeks. Is it worth the risk!?
I told my husband I can't wait to have green light for sex but he said we will have enough time to stay under the blanket(
) after the baby is born, he really doesn't want to cause some harm etc to me or the baby.
So, sex is fine unless doctor say no, when???? if they don't examine your pelvic how can they tell!?
I think that no doctor or midwife cares more about this baby than me and my husband, I don't think they will not be able to sleep if I loose my child
