** September 2014 Mummies! **

too much for me to sit and catch up on!
got the jist, i think.

happy v day girls.
can't wait for mat leave either!
very busy day for me today i'm shattered so off to bed now hence short reply sorry.
only tomorrow to go though, then i'm off for two weeks yay.

with regards to stretch marks, i hate mine too, but they are part of your journey to creating a beautiful human being.

sleep well xx

Sleep well Nic after your hectic day.

I'm feeling pretty crappy as Harry whilst going up to bed fell and cut around his eye not once but in 3 places :( He caught the corner of a wipes box, lots of tears and some bleeding too. Feel so bad :( xx

oh bless him!
kids are tough, i wouldn't feel so bad hun.
hope he's okay though xx

Wahhhh! It's v day! Happy v day to due date buddy mrshttc.

I was at midwife yesterday and all was fine so hoping that I can still have my baby at the local midwife led birthing centre rather than the big hospital over an hour away. Next see midwife on 1st July.

Not long til your hols nds, think of the relaxation heading your way!

Hope Harry mends soon kanga.

Well, I have 2 night shifts this week and 3 late shifts next week then I'm off work for almost 3 weeks! I can't bloody wait I tell you! Then got about a week and a half off in July then hols from 17th august til my maternity leave which officially starts 2 days before I'm due!

As for the stretch mark topic...I don't have stretch marks I have 'awesome mummy tiger stripes' which I probably wouldn't have if I hadn't used my mind boggling superpower...growing a first rate human from scratch! They are my battle scars and yes I would prefer lovely smooth skin but it wasn't to be so I wear them with pride and growl at anyone who dares to belittle my mummy tiger stripes of awesomeness! (Oh and they do fade eventually!)

Hope everyone is ok this morning!

Xxx

Morning girls. Scan went well yesterday...was lovely to see Pedro kicking about again. All is good. She's definatley got my nose and Marks mouth haha. I'll try and get a pic on if my phone will let me.

Finally picked a pram now aswell, totally changed my mind from my first choice that I thought I was set on...not the most decisive woman in the world haha.

Hope your feeling ok Vee. I've put on 2 stone do far too...devestated....but I know it'll come off after the baby's here with some hard work...I remember getting stretch marks with my first and it felt awful, but they're hardlys noticeable now..they will fade Hun. Big hugs xx

Hope work wasn't too bad yesterday nic. Bet you were wiped out last night x

Don't feel too bad about Harry's accident Kanga. It's awful when they hurt themselves but all part of childhood, and they're a lot tougher than you think. Emily broke her foot last November and Anthony broke his wrist last Easter....awful feeling as I wasn't there both times, they were playing with their friends and I was at work. The orange and pink cast soon cheered them up though haha. Hope your both ok xx

Happy V day to me! Can't believe 24 weeks already! Where is this time going?! Lol.

Well....I'm taking my girls to see One Direction today! I'm sooooo excited even though it's absolutely teaming down with rain. Were prepared with our waterproof ponchos lol. Let's just hope my SPD doesn't play up as were gonna be queuing for a while...they're queuing up already apparantly....
1D!! Woohoo! Lol x

Happy V day to you too Sazzle! Just noticed your in newcastle! I'm in sunderland! Crazy! Xx

I was at hospital last week Sarah, as I'd been having really bad headaches for a while and a few flashing lights and stuff. Everything was ok, but it's best to get checked out if it doesn't ease off...I was sent home with codeine, really was a god send x

Thanks hun...its not to bad now but will defo keep an eye on it as it came on yday when we were out a walk n felt fainty too xx

Happy V Day Mrs Httc and Sazzle! So exciting we're all reaching these milestones now - not long til Tri3!!

Alipops and Vee - I'm in a similar situation, lost 2 stone before my wedding last summer and was the slimmest and most toned I'd ever been. Had put about 10lbs of this back on before I fell pregnant and I dread to think what I weigh now. May have to brave the scales next week. Still trying to exercise regularly as I do find this makes me feel better, although my diet hasn't been great. Hoping breastfeeding and lots of walking with the pushchair will help get me back in shape after the birth before I'm ready to take up proper exercise again. Like everyone says though it's important to try and give yourself a break and remember what an amazing thing our bodies are doing!

Ah Kanga, I hope Harry is ok now! But kids are pretty resilient and don’t get upset for long do they! My little Nephew is always banging his head and has a big bruise then 5 minutes later he is running around laughing again!!

Oh Sarah I can sympathise with those! I had them solidly for about 5 weeks but touch wood they have gone away for now… hope they don’t last too long for you..

Happy 24 weeks to Sazzle and Mrs Httc!

Sazzle glad all went ok at the Midwife…
Exciting for lots of holiday too, yay!!

Mrs Httc, that’s good that the scan went well and you got to see Bubba again : )
Ah that’s exciting about the pram! Always a good feeling when that decision is made!
I’m so jealous of you going to see One Direction ha!! Have fun!!

x

Ahhh kanga, I hope little man is ok! Bless him. Although they do tend to bounce at this age eh?! DD is always getting bumps and bruises. In fact, her new favourite game is to play act Doc McStuffins and "mend" everyone. She'd love to meet Harry and make him better ha ha!

Happy V day girls! We're all hitting this milestone now! And I've just noticed the August mummies in Tri 3 ... eek! (Granted, probably been there a while, but makes it all real now!)

MrsH - enjoy One Direction! We're off to see In the Night Garden Live tomorrow at the O2 - slightly different, but I'm still excited ha ha!

Vee - I'm sure I've said before, but please try not to feel down. As Sazzle said above, our bodies have earned these stripes! I have some really bad ones across my hips/lower back that arrived in the last few weeks of my first pregnancy and they are quite deep, but they have faded and 2 years later don't really bother me. And with the weight - it WILL come off. I put on nearly 5 stone with DD (started off at 8stone, so was small ish to begin with..) but lost it all within 6/7 months, mainly from being on the go all the time with a newborn/roller/baby and now toddler. Enjoy your pregnancy hun, don't feel sad xxx

Another slow day for me at work - although not complaining! About to get some food and read for my lunchbreak. Not looking forward to trudging back to the train station later in all this rain though..ugh!

happy v day girlies!

my lower back is killing me today :(.

glad all went well sazzle!
yeah, can't wait. ah your leave sounds great.

emma, lovely to read all went well. i was and i couldn't sleep either. enjoy one direction!

xxxx

Posative note!.. My app says 100days left so tomorrow it will only be double figures :)) woo

Ok girls, I know this should probably go in the Baby Names section of PF, but seeing as I "know" you lot a bit better, I feel more comfortable posting here...

We're sorted for a girl's name, but a boy's name is proving tricky (some of you may remember a while back we were all talking names!) We have narrowed it down to 2, although I have reasons for not wanting either of them (but love them at the same time!):

Henry - love this, and goes well with Joy (my daughter) but a friend of a friend has a 5 yr old Henry, and talks about him a lot...would this put you off? This friend is someone I work with, and is leaving next month, so highly likely I wont see her as much once I'm back from maternity leave...

Isaac - again, love this too! But for some reason I'm concerned it sounds "foreign"? Not that there's anything wrong with that - I just want an old fashioned name to go with my daughter's name!

Opinions?? x

I like both Crackers. With Henry if she's only a friend of a friend and you're not going to see her as much in future I wouldn't let it put you off the name. You'll probably never find a name you never come across somewhere else. Isaac is lovely too-a boy who grew up across the road from me when I was young was called that and he was the nicest guy x

So just back from hospital as i had some more fluid and mucus loss earlier plus baby wasnt his active self. Heard babies heartbeat, everything seems fine. Had an.examintion and all closed and cervix is back. The doctor has booked me in for a scan tomorrow tho to check fluid around baby and.where my placenta is as it was low lying at 20wk scan xx

Well girls....how amazing were one direction! I'm actually wondering if I can change my user name to Mrs Styles! Lol. Was a brilliant day/night and my girls just loooooved it! My SPD is really giving me some bother now and my throat is killing from screaming like a 12 year old but it was so worth it Lol!

Crackers...both of your names for a boy go with your daughters name, but I like Isaac best. I wouldn't let the friend of a friend thing bother you either if you did go for Henry. One of my daughters has the same name as my cousin, she wasn't named after her or anything, I just really liked the name. It shouldn't stop you if someone you know has a son with the same name. Xx

Hope everything's ok Sarah. It must of been a right worry losing some more fluid....in glad everything's still closed up though and looking good. Hope everything's ok at your scan, and you'll get to see your little man again! Xx

Hope everyone's alright today. I'm having a total chill out day today after yesterday's shenanigans lol.

Has anyone else decided on names yet? Xx

Oh Sarah what a worry for you. Hope the scan goes well.

Mrshttc yeah we have decided on names :) we are calling him Oliver :) we both said yesterday we liked Riley too but are sticking with Oliver tho :) xxx

happy birthday to me!

oh sarah, i imagine that was scary. glad everything was okay with baby, good luck today with the scan.

yes mrsstyles :P, we are having samuel.

lilmiss, oliver is lovely!
xxx
