** September 2014 Mummies! **

isn't it just? it's the itching i can't cope with - i'm getting little cuts because of it?!

i know. it's not a big deal i'm only pregnant and uncomfortable. very annoying.

i have text my midwife but no response!

feel better soon kanga. make sure you rest up instead of working! film day sounds great.

thank you crackers, i don't want to be a typical patient insisting i get seen because i know how frustrating and stressful that can be being on the other end of it.

hopefully we won't be upset for too long, no. OH is already looking at pups - we have agreed when baby is a little older, then we can get a lazy breed of dog that's good with children, so he's already looking at bullmastiff/english mastiffs!

no braxton hicks for me - didn't even know what they were until i was 34 weeks and being monitored last time lol.

i am starting to feel more now, i'd say probably every day, but still not very strong at all.

how sweet of you to be offered a seat! i got on the bus for free yesterday, but i think his machine was broken and everybody else did too ! xx

Oo I've been getting braxton hicks a lot! Didn't know what the heck they were to start with and had to google it. My stomach/pelvis goes rock solid to the touch and I just feel a huge load of pressure inside. I had no idea you could get them this early, or they were so noticeable. They haven't been particularly painful, just tight and uncomfortable. Weird! Planning on asking my midwife about them at our appointment in a couple of weeks cos with it being my first pregnancy, everything worries me :-/

nds I'm sorry to hear about your dog, I know exactly how hard that must be for you. Me and OH are considering the same...well he's considering, I can't even think about it without crying. Keep saying I'll just work my butt off to train them both now before baby gets here...we'll see how that goes!

Feel better soon kanga, but enjoy the disney marathon. There are worse ways to spend your sick days! :) x

Hello ladies,

Kanga disney marathon sounds great, I have a goddaughter who is crazy for frozen! hope you feel better soon. Saw your post a couple of days back. My folks live on the somerset/devon border so they are close but not too close! I wont have a job to go back to so, will be a stay at home mum for a while!

Gemma... what a waiting game to play! hope your coping ok? xxxxx

Nic... ouch... cranberry juice meant to be great for sorting that kind of problem out.. x

12 weeks today! ladies very excited.... told work today as well. scan tomorrow.

also can not believe you ladies are talking about braxton hicks and cervix kicks... I have some serious catching up to do ;-0

oh isn't it difficult dont_panic. we really struggled but i was so stressed, it was definitely the best decision for us.

cranberry juice? i didn't mean a uti sorry, i mean like thrush xxx

happy 12 weeks apple x

I got thrush I get it several times every time I'm pregnant. Erghh. I just use a pessary and cream combo. My doc does me a prescription over the phone. Said if it don't work go for a swab. Always works tho xxx

as in canesten? i've had it before i think while pg and i used that yeah, wasn't sure which one to get? it would be nice to get a prescription yes but he won't give me one he told me i need swabs and to mess around! think i'm just gonna send hubby because i can't cope and i'm not messing around trying to get an appointment when i'm obviously not going to be offered one! xx

Yeah canesten :) worked a treat. I just called hoping he would and was going to buy it if he said no. Small price to pay I think to get rid of the most annoying thing lol xxx

Happy 12 weeks Apple :) and yay for scan day tomorrow. I'm back for a scan tomorrow afternoon as my monkey wasn't playing ball last week. That's good family are close, but not too close. I hate having my in laws so close lol Being a stay at home mummy for a while is also good, wish I didn't need to return after my maternity leave next year.

I would send you oh out for canasten too Nic, better than waiting god knows how long for the doctors to do something.

Didn't end up watching any Disney today, took Harry into the garden while I just sat down, then I went for a nap when he did. Still feel a little off, but hoping I'm over the worst now. xx

i just got asda's own cream - same medication isn't it - can't bare paying the price for canesten lol.

oo good luck kanga tomorrow, hope baby plays ball! i know the docs are useless aren't they.. ah sounds nice, it's not long got sunny here, been quite gloomy so that's nice you got to enjoy some time in the sun too! xxx

no probs, i didn't explain myself properly at all! and good luck apple! can't wait to see a pic. xxxx

thank you crackers, i don't want to be a typical patient insisting i get seen because i know how frustrating and stressful that can be being on the other end of it.

Eek...sorry nic! ;-) I must admit I've never done it myself. Only came close once with dd, but held my own on the phone and managed to get an appt.

Glad you've got cream now, should kick in soon and you'll feel loads better. I've only ever had thrush twice and yet the pain and discomfort is unforgettable!

Apple - happy 12 weeks and good luck for tomorrow!

Garden sounds great kanga. I'm just back from work, and although the sun is lovely, I've now got swollen feet and ankles...eugh. Hubby's turn to do dinner whilst my feet are up!

I too have another scan tomorrow. Consultant decided to send me for another one to check my cervix after it has shortened between 16-19 weeks. Fingers crossed it hasn't shortened much again, or better still stayed the same! Plus I get to see bubs again. Hoping for a much better experience after feeling cheated out of my 20wk appt last time!

haha no probs! being a dental nurse i hate those that insist on being seen, we are really accommodating with emergencies but when were chocker and someone insists on being seen it's v annoying there's not much we can do - but drs don't do treatment like we do! 2 minute appt is not going to make a difference i don't expect?!! i hope so, i'm just very sore from the cuts, everytime i touch there (yuck sorry lol) it really hurts, cause of the itching so i really hope it helps! it's very frustrating whilst working lol.

fx for tomorrow - sure all will be fine, yay for seeing LO again!! i bet you do xxxx

Baby has been quiet for a good few hours..so having a drink and some food. If nothing im gonna need to phone the hospital xx

I know..hes usualy really active thats why im worried. Will give him another 10mins or so xx

I've still not felt mine move :(. But know there's a strong heartbeat and I'm getting bigger

NIC. Thrush is a killer I had it a few weeks back but it cleared pretty quickly after the medicine. I know what you mean with those tiny cuts , really annoying ,

SARAH , hang on in there I'm sure everything is fine. My bubba was really quiet for a day or 2 and I was panicking big time but think he had just moved position and yesterday he was back to his wriggly self xx

how's it going sarah?

how far are you vicky, is it your first?

wish i could feel mine more although he's pretty wriggly tonight!

v annoying indeed julie! xx
