Morning Ladies!

Ah Sarah not long now, exciting!

I’m really suffering at the moment with horrendeous headaches, they’re really getting me down and I’m finding work such a struggle..not sure what to do as paracetemol just don’t touch it and I don’t like to take too many..I guess the Doctor wouldn’t want to do anything else though..
Sorry for the moan, just struggling a bit!

Hope everybody else is ok

Welcome to tri2 ladies!

Clare I'm sorry you are suffering with such terrible headaches. Maybe worth asking to doctor for advice anyway? At least you'll be on their radar if it continues for you.

Well I am 15 weeks today :) and had my meeting with the consultant due to my weight, and I have to take baby aspirin every day until the birth now, and get a couple of extra scans at 28 and 32 weeks. They didn't weigh me though which I was surprised at.

I did get to hear the heartbeat of my little baby today and it was amazing!! SO fast - 150 beats! The midwife said it was fast.

Sometimes I forget there is a baby in there, even though I know there is. It just doesn't feel real!

Thanks Sarah and Ali..I think I am going to book a Doctors appointment, its really getting unbearable..If I wasn't training a new person at work this week I don't think I would move out of my bed!!

Ah Ali glad you had your appointment and got to hear the babys heartbeat, thats lovely! Nice that you get a couple of extra scans too!

Oh I know exactly what you mean, I still forgot as well sometimes.. I think once I have a bump and feel movements it will feel so much more real!

I think that's a good plan Clare, I hope they can help or at least reassure you that it won't continue much longer! I had terrible headaches in Tri1, and thankfully they only lasted about a month. It makes doing anything hard, I found I couldn't even bear to listen to hubby talking in the evenings. But they went away, so I hope yours do too.

I am looking forward to the actual bump and movements! Although I am sure I will grumble when baby keeps me awake at night lol!

I cant wait for my gender scan- gut feeling its a girl :D oh really wants a lil girl! gender scan on 15th April- counting down the days :D EKK!!! too overly excited haha xxx
 
Hi Ladies, Hope you are all well

I like Ali was at consultant today saw baby today and looks happy and well, have to have extra scans at 28, 32 and 36 weeks to make sure growth is ok, so means extra views of baby.......yay also got to have Glucose tolerance at 24 and 28 weeks, been put on baby asprin for to help with Pre eclamsia and dvt, i didnt get weighed but was weighed last week when got my quad bloods done and was the same as i was at my booking in app. Oh and i asked about my c section and he said he could not see why i couldnt have one and with my past delivery being bad he totally understood, so all good. xxx
 
I got my consultant appointment soon. If he tries to put me on aspirin I will be telling him where to shove it lol xxx

Had my 16 week appointment today, was lovely to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time, its so easy to forget theres a baby in there! Hear rate was around 155bpm, sounded lovely strong and content, so hope baby's happy in there!
Sorry to hear some of you have been suffering with headaches, I guess its mainly hormonal, but sometimes I think its down to weather conditions, when I get headaches, I often see people on here mentioning having them too on the same day, could be we're all experiencing same levels of hormones though lol. I had a headache last night, its a right pain, but I suffered worse with them before getting pregnant, so im thanking my lucky stars they didnt get worse like what happens to some people xxx

Normal dose asprin gives me diarrhea so this better bloody not as that i can do without i did tell him this today but was told as it was baby asprin it shouldnt do anyhting. We wil see!!
 
Hi ladies,
How is everyone doing? I can't believe I'm 16 weeks today, it's crazy! I have to wait for my next MW appt though as had to reschedule due to work, so my appt is on 3rd april. Can't wait to hear the heartbeat! :)
I keep thinking I can feel tiny movements, little flutters but could be wind lol! Its 6 years since I was pg with my first so can't really remember, I remember how the stronger movements felt but not the very first subtle movements.

happy 16 weeks hollysmummy.. i definitely think its possible you're feeling movements at 16 weeks with second baby!


glad consultant understood request for c-section loch! yaaay for a few extra peeks at baby.

Thanks Ali, sorry to hear you suffered in Tri 1...It can be really debilitating can't it..I'm the same, I get home from work and just want to collapse on the sofa and not speak! I feel so sick with them too so I wonder if it might be migraines..I'm going to call the Doc first thing to see if I can get an appointment..

Ha yes you're right, I'm sure once we are big we will complain how uncomfortable we feel too ha!

Yes the headaches could be a mix of hormones and the weather changes or something! I did used to suffer with them years ago bit havent so much recently...

Hollysmum, that could well be movements, they are supposed to feel like flutters at first arent they..exciting!

Hello all in Tri 12 - I'm now 14 weeks today!

Booked my 16week app today for 3rd April, really hoping I'll get to hear the heartbeat too! Next scan date finally came through-still over 6 weeks to wait though as it's not until the 1st May!! x
