Have 2 boys already , would love a girl but have a strong feeling it's another boy.
I was comparing all my scans last week but was just driving myself crazy x

Yeah they do,ive stopped looking at my scans now as Im going crazy aswell lol. I would love a girl but I wouldnt mind another boy x

Hope everyones okay. Just wanted to share that I had my 12 week scan today. Ive been dated at 13 weeks with a due date of 10th September. NDS please can change first page from 14th to 10th. Thank you x

Ive got 20 week scan booked for 25th April and gender scan booked for 30th March. Sooooooo excited

Exciting for the next 2 scans! My 20 week scan on the 23rd of April seems forever away!

Loch, I don't feel sick really anymore, maybe if I leave it too long before eating but generally ok! Starving all the time mind!

can I ask, some of you seem to get the date for your 20 week scan almost immediately after your 12 week one, how did you do this? I dont seem to have been given any info, the midwife said something about making a 16 week apptmnt at my docs.. so i have, but no scan date or anything! Im confused! xx

I got my 20 week scan I think before I even went for my 12 week one!! I had my booking in appointment at 9 weeks and received a letter in the post about a week later with my 20 week scan appointment…the NHS seem to be very efficient in my area as I also got my 12 week scan when I was about 7 weeks pregnant…think every area is different though! x

Hi All

Climbing Rose, I was told my 20 week scan date at the end of my 12 week one. I haven't been given a gender scan date though, will have to ask about that at 16week appoinment.

It must just vary from area to area.

I have no idea how to guess boy or girl, but I keep referring to baby as he, it is frustrating not knowing!!

Hmm its really annoying, I dont want to be fussed over too much, but it would be nice to not feel so in the dark about scans, I rang the doc surgery and said I think I need to see a midwife at 16 weeks and they just said they had no idea... I guess I'll have to call my MW and check!
So far I have had to chase absolutely everything up.

That is so frustrating. Call the MW and ask about when you'll find out scan dates, in case they have been sent to you and you haven't had them yet, and just book your appointment at the docs. You should have a MW appt at 16 weeks, but i also have to book it myself. I popped a little reminder in my calendar for just over a week before so I don't miss out or have to wait longer. (They are only one day a week where I live)

I must have a really efficient service where I am! The day after my booking appointment at 9 weeks, the Midwife called me and booked my 16 week appointment..I haven’t had to call anybody, or chase anyone..
It must be very frustrating for you Ladies that have to do it all yourselves and chase people..so annoying…
Hmmm, Ali, Im saying Boy too! I always seem to think boy though ha!

So I was at my midwife appointment today and a bloody
Fight broke out in the waiting room with 2 of the woman's partners.
There where crutches getting used to hit people and at one point
The pregnant partner even joined in the fight ! It was just mental!
Midwives all running about mental and eventually police arrived.
I was ok but a few of the women where in tears , I have honestly never seen
Anything like it in my life. !!!

Yes mine is only 1 morning a week where I am too at my doc surgery.
My 12 W scan was 2 and a half weeks ago, so maybe I will get a letter with the next one on it.
Unfortunately I live quite rurally and Wales' NHS does struggle with funding, but I know people do seem to get forgotten about quite alot down here so you have to be on the ball and follow things up.. its just tricky when its your first time, because its all a bit overwhelming and you're not sure whats meant to happen when lol.

Oh my goodness Julie that’s awful!! What a nightmare! Cant believe the pregnant lady got involved too! I think that would have shaken me up a bit!

Ah Climbingrose that’s a bit of a nightmare isn’t it…I know what you mean, its all a bit new and overwhelming when its your 1st time and you just want a bit of guidance don’t you!

Clarep1905 - Scan was good. Baby very awkward though. We had to go back in 3 times! Baby doing a headstand first time, then facing inwards then was upside down horizontally. In the end managed to get measurements but although they gave us about 10 pics none are as clear as the early pregnancy scan I had (see avatar) last week. Lovely to see it moving around though.

ClimbingRose - I was told to go to desk and book 20 week scan after blood test

Ali13 - The gender scan ive booked is private. I know they can tell you gender at 20 weeks but I just couldnt wait that long. Lol
