So he won't stop. Ever. He has been ill ish for a few weeks. But the irritabilty is beyond a joke. He just doesn't stop. It's not whinging, it's proper tears with screams.
I'll feel awful if it's coz he's feeling poorly. But I just don't know how to soothe him. He's nearly 7 months, and other than around the times he ws in hospital, his colic calmed a lot between about 3/4 months and 6 months. It can't still be colic can it?
U no when u just feel at ur wits end? I don't know what to do x

Have u tried a lil bit of calpol to see if he can get a few hours of sleeps and see if he can get out of the mardy routine? My lo has been mardy n has started to resist sleepin, shes just had her 2nd set of jabs tho n is groggy cos of that, and has been cryin the house down cos shes really sleepy
Good luck x

I gave him some calpol about an hour ago. Just In case. He has suddenly chilled out in the last 10 mins. Tho I'm not naive enoughto think he'll be good until he can have some more.
Lol, I really do believe this child manipulates me. He seems to know exactly what he's doing!
And he smother at me a few mins ago, not a smile, an actual smirk!
Lol can u tell I'm going a little insane? X

Lol, and he's due injections tomorro... Oh god! X

Odhrán was doing this, the only way I can describe it is a shriek, the most high pitched sound.. He would do it if I pulled him away from something, like kitchen drawers etc, or if I left a room and left him in high chair etc.. It was very very wearing, it was hard to listen too.. He doesn't seem to do it anymore unless he is totally exhausted, I just strapped him into pram or high chair, and walked into the next room and took a breather.. It was very hard to listen to and be screamed at 90% of the day.. I started ignoring it and it seemed to have done the trick, good luck x

My little one is the same! I don't know where on earth he has learned to do this but he has started screaming for the past few days. He does it when he's had enough of playing on his activity mat, or sitting in his bouncy chair (which he lasts all of 20 mins max anyway sitting and playing!). He will scream until he can see me or until he doesn't get his own way. He is only 2 and a half months and he's so naughty already!

Anyone have any ideas to try and get him to play a little while longer?

Zac didn't play very long when he was so young, it doesn't last forever, just give it time. They can get overstimulated wen they are young too and the only way to get past it is to cry it out, I don't think they know how to be naughty at this age xxx

Is he teething hun? Maybe the start of teething?
If calpol settles him it could may well be teething can start early just takes ages for an acutal tooth lol.
It can be so draining hear a cry all day every day an even the best you do isnt all its cracked up to be. I thought with lil mans cries that i could deal with it but because i was losing so much sleep i broke down and i felt like i couldnt do anything but it got that much i wanted sleep an wanted to pass out but a few people came to my ade when they offered to look after little man whilst i got a few hours keep then picked him up later.
Hun if you get offered help or if u have a partner tell to help, hugs u must be worn out (hugs) x

It could be separation anxiety? Have you got a sling? Put him in it and walk around, its easier on your arms than holding him - maybe he wants to be close to his mummy x

Well you could be describing Ella there- she has started screaming and going purple with tears etc.... About 3 times a day and the ONLY thing that calms her down is watching 'in the night garden'!! I've worked out that she is simply overtired and refusing to go to sleep! So I need to get her off before she goes loony!
