If I woke in the night (well at 6am..) and went for wee does anyone think 10am was fine to do an opk and it would be accurate?

It's going to be a long day and I'm not sure I'll be able to hold back on fluids and get a chance to test again today. :(

..It was negative and much lighter than the one I did on cd10 (not 11). Sooooo annoyed that we've might have missed the chance this cycle for sure now :wall2:

I'm certainly no expert on opks but I'll tell you what I do.

I use the cheapies starting I'm cd10 as I usually get positives cd11-13. We start dtd around cd8 to make sure we're covered. I tend to do one as soon as I get in from work around 6pm as I'm hopeless in the morning. I usually have about a 4 hour hold by then but not always. Once they start to get darker I try to do one in the morning as soon as I get up around 7am although I sometimes forget.

I've always got a clear pattern doing it this way and it works for me with work and things so I've stuck with it. I tend to use them more just so I know how long my cycle will be rather than to guide dtd if that make sense. Hope that's helpful and that you haven't missed it this month.

I guess it would be more accurate if I did it around my usual time... and maybe this morning test is fine.. but if so I guess I missed my positive because it was so much lighter today than cd10s so now I'm thinking maybe my positive would have been cd11 or 12.. which was typical cause I couldn't opk while away :(

I don't even know why I'm worrying about ovulation. I should let it go I don't think it will happen this cycle anyway.. though it's nice to know exactly when to expect af.

I've been in so much pain with my shoulder and dtd is an absolute chore right now, I just can't enjoy it because I'm always uncomfortable no matter what positions we try. We covered cd6, cd8, cd10 and managed to do it last night when we got in cd12. I just want to know when we can stop. :(

I think I'd do the opks for another day or 2 and if they're still negative then assume it would have been positive on the day you missed so you'll know when to expect af. I've done that a few times if we've been away. You've covered the right days if that is the case. The only thing is that you haven't actually seen the positive with your own eyes but if you know your cycles it wouldn't be unreasonable to assume it did.

I can't imagine how tough it is for you at this point. I know what you mean about dtd being a chore. We have now just accepted that for what it is until we finally have a plan at the clinic. I hope you're looking after yourself.

I'll try do them the next 2 days as well and see, since I'm only cd13 now.

It just doesn't get easier.. dtd was already a chore the pain makes it even more of a chore because I don't feel I can even enjoy it because I'm just uncomfortable each time.. :(

Ah well.. hopefully the fet brings our bfp instead

I had a couple of hours hold going and hadn't drank too much so thought I'd try another opk..
and its defo positive! How weird.

A migraine did pop up out of nowhere though so I did wonder if it was almost time!

Guess we have to dtd tonight if we want to try.. ugh!

I think it's fine. I pretty much don't worry about holding it and I still get a result.

Plus, it's not supposed to be your first pee of the day anyway - that's for pregnancy tests (unless it's CB opks which are different).

Oh I know it's not meant to be fmu, just wasn't sure if it would have counted as it was so early (i usually try do them around 1 or 2pm)

All good now as got a positive at 1

Glad you got a positive today and haven't missed it after all. You'll feel better knowing you got it covered I'm sure.
