I HATE OPKS!!!! Raaaaa!!!

God these little silly strips are drving me INSANE!!!!

TURDBALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In a nutshell (srry i know most of u already know frm my constant RANTS AND MOANS BUT):

I have had a 39 day cycle last couple of months (after being 28/29 last few yrs)
I am now OPKing from cd10-cd30 to try and find my stupid + that is playing hide and seek EVERY bloody month since my last MC last june/july.
And BDing every 2 days to try to catch it too......

So my Question is.....OPKs......I have never seen a + one. Only ever had various darkness/lightness of feint lines. But today and yesterday ive had NADA! absolutely eff all!!!
The result line (or where it shud be) is just blank.....

Ive had feint lines from cd10........ today is cd17...... So i kinda expected feint lines to get darker until i ov (ov calculators say ov is 20-25 on 39cycle)
But theyve now disappeared completely.

So please please can anyone tell me if this is normal?
I mean the blank part halfway thru testing days?
And if this has happened to any of u have u had a +opk afterwards?

Im so confused and sorry if boring u all just stressing out and im on work in the morning so i CANNOT RESORT TO WINE!!! Lol

Hiya honey - I had some faint lines and then a few blank ones after in the days leading up to my +ive opk this month - I thought maybe my pee was too weak when I didn't see them? Do you try to not drink/hold your wee etc before testing? How many times a day do you test? Do you know how long your luteal phase is? xxx

O god I am soooooooo with you on this I had one random slightly positive when I shouldn't really be ovulating then absolutely Sod all since but all signs of ovulation worried sick I'm not ovulating!!!! Arrrrg stupid stupid sticks!!!!

Well if im being honest i prob dont hang on tht long for a piddle. As a kinda pee quite alot (espesh since trying to get healthy drinkin lots of water/fruit tea)
What do u suggest hun? Wat am i ment to be doin? hold on and not drink much?
DO u think cuz i havent bein doin this, it may be why im not gettin cleaar +OPKS?

I have NO idea bout my luteal phase at mo hun. My cycles are so all over the place ive lost track of everything!

Tell me about it!! Ive not tried holding on maybe try that but hate doing them now as know they'll b negatives Christ bad enough having to test pregnancy tests and b negative now these bad boys ugh!!

Do you mean there is no line at all?

If there is no control line it means the test hasn't worked?

Are all these tests from the same batch?

Well, they do say that's what you're supposed to do - hold on and not drink as much, but I drink a lot too, so haven't been that strict with it. I find that you don't have to hold it that long, but just make sure it's not too diluted if that makes sense... So for eg, I will have a wee and then not drink too much and then about 30 mins to an hours later I will test - my wee is quite yellow so i know it's not too diluted. Also, do you wee in cups as I think that might be better too.

Finally, have you tried checking for other signs of ov. I've been checking CM and just started checking CP this month and it is a good indicator of when you're fertile.

Sarah I have had a really stressful ov this cycle - I had loads of ov signs, but no +ive opk until days after - thought i wasn't going to ov, but seems ov was just a bit late this cycle - hold on babe - you could still get your +ive opk xxx

I save my pee for between 90 minutes - 2 hours and I also don't drink much for about 3-4 hours before testing.

To be honest my line has never been that dark BUT I did back it up with a digi OPK this month

HÍ hun , this was my first month using opks ,

I tried not to pee for 2 hours and limit my drinks ,

Pee in a cup then dip , I found when it was ov time and I did an extra one as I hadn't held my pee for long and drunk loads it was fainter , also my lines didn't get as dark as the test line but they where close enough ,

What the hell just did a OPK and had a faint line? I'm MEGA confused with these things had what looked like a positive on 15th feb then nothing then bad cramps and all signs of ovulation now looking like ovulating? ARRRRRG bloody things!!!

Sorry carnat no hun i mean the result line thingy. My control line is there. So the tests are valid im just not sure if they accurate!!!
I was just worried cuz never had no result line wat so ever before.

Ill wait longer for a pee then later. I did it this morning but ive lso heard not to use the first wee???? (Is this true??). So tht prob not accurate either!!! Altho there was a feint line there then!

Lol ud think i was a novice at all this!!!! Im just a bit of a dipstick.

I pee in plastic cups i get (steal Lol) from work. Dip it for 20seconds and wait.
But must admit i dont usually take any notice of how often i pee or how much i drink so ill try tht.

Is it just a feint line sarah?
Cuz we produce the hormone throughout our cycle so it may not mean u OV agen it may just be picking up a slight bit of that hormone. Only the dark as/ darker than control lines are the +s

The LH hormone is too concentrated in first wee of the day

Ah ur the same as me then shug. I have NEVER seen wat people describe as a +opk either. I have no idea wats going on. My cycles have just got longer so now im REALLY kerfuffled!!! Im just guna keep OPKing i think till my AF.

How many times a day r u testing? xxxx

Well hard to test in work so usually same time mos days around 5.30 and 9 so around twice a day my approach now is to stop using them for few months and just BD lol getting married 3 weeks today then honeymoon end of April so may just TRY and relax a little if poss lol

Hiya hun. You say you have random cycles and no line at all on opks. Do oyu have PCOS? If your not sure then maybe think about getting tested.

I have PCOS and the only time I had any line at all was once during my 6 months of clomid. Blood results backed it up. All other times I only have the control line and that's it

So now I have blood tests on day 21 of my cycle every month and even tho I bleed I only OV every 3 to 4 months

Hey falcon...... erm i dont think ive got PCOs unless ive all of sudden got it in last few months??
The reason my cycles r all over place is cuz amount of MMCs/MCs/CMCs ive had in short space of time. I also got put back on the pill for two months in july last yr after a rather gone wrong operation they did after my last MC.
Docs did a scan and sed everything looked fine.
And all the blood tests have come bak norm so im rather baffled.
The docs just say its my body settling down agen.

But it has always settled pretty much straight away before. But i duno. Im stuck really as wat to think now.
I will mention PCOs to the specialist wen i go on the 7th thanx hun. xx

Yes shug i have had a girl say tht to me too. about fallin preg wen never got a +OPK.
Its just all so worrying. I seem to have bad luck down every road i go lol. Not feelin sorry for myself (lol) its just an ongoing joke really. Gotta laff otherwise id cry!! Lol.

Yeah i test twice too. once in morning and about 5pm. But then i think...shud i test 3 times? 4??? 5????!?!??! Lol.
