Ha ha!! I was wondering where I posted this lol!! Will remove. Thanks hun lol! x

its lovely to see someone actually writing about this, i was diagnosed 0n the 9th of jan with this along with gestational diabetes, and its nice to find some info on it! everything i found awfull and i got myself really worked up about it, which needless to say panicked me, then a couple of days lter oliver stopped moving around,(he NEVER stops moving around!) at which point i thought all the horrible things id read were coming true! aaarrrrrrggghhh!! so it was off up to the hosp in a big panic, a weekend stay (mmmm luxurious lol) and everythings fine, thankfully, but the way i see it, if id have found something faintly reassuring i wouldnt have got quite so worked up,
cheers me dears :OD xx

i think i need to have a word with my mw when i see her. im currently sat her with persistant itching on my arms, top of legs, back and bits of my face. i wont scratch it as it hurts when i do.
i also mentioned to my oh that im feeling really hot today (and its been hailing today lol). come to think of it, iv had the itching combined with the hotness a few times now, usually in bed x

Def ask hun its well worth checking ASAP. I had numerous blood tests for it in the end but was diagnosed with PAPPP, which is basically itchy rashes and stretchmarks. Worth checking out. Itchiness is awful and especially at night.

Xxx

I thought i had this i was itching like mad at 20 weeks had to go the hospital and get my blood tested but i was fine ive read alot about this becoz i was worried i had it its best to get a blood test to b on the safe side x

hi
is this thread still running?
I was suffering bad from itchiness and still itch all my spots of that i have on my neck, back and face. I was blood tested at 20 weeks but was all clear. Can the symptoms develop further into preg?
Should I ask for another test?

I mentioned to my MW about my feet on tues. They itch so much at night that I get so little sleep and just wanna scream. I'm also gettin very hot skin all over. She told me its only itchy palms they worry about but since reading some of the websites on here I'm still a bit concerned. Is it worth tryin to see my gp? X

I would go to gp and ask for bloods. It may be PAPPP. I had this in third trimester. Horrendous itches and rashes. Google it and do a search on PF. Harmless but torture! Hope it goes away soon. Xxxx

Iv just been tested for this today... Fingers crossed it comes back ok :( scary stuff!xx

I had oc on my first pregnancy, induced at 37 weeks, and luckily my little lady was a healthy 6.9lbs. I am so scared that I will have it again, although I will just have to sit and wait. I am planning for a homebirth this time around and the midwives believe that with medication and early pick up on oc, I should be okay to go in to labour naturally! fingers crossed :D

Yeah I really hope so! OC is a scary thing, but if picked up early enough it should be controllable :)

Ive been diagnosed with it now. I have to have baby at 37 weeks and I actually feel like I could crawl under a stone and sleep for 7 weeks. Except Im not sleeping at all cause of the dam itch.

Is this normal to feel like this? Feeling sorry for myself today!!! :( xxxx

Sorry to hear you've been diagnosed with it.. I had major itching skin probs which was really tiring and stressful.. Try and sleep as much as u can in the day hun itching always seemed to be worst for me at night...xx

Thank you. Occupational health have signed me off and declared me unfit for work. I can't go on with no sleep. Suppose being at home means I can nap in the day time.

If you haven't suffered it you'd never believe how debilitating it is. Just not a good combination of tiredness and hormones! :( xxx

It really is a horrible thing to have and noone can understand it which is frustrating :(
I hope you can get some sleep in the day and rest well for labour  good luck hun!
