OK thought it would be nice to start a thread to acknowledge some nice things our OH's, In-Laws, friends and families sometimes do!

I for one am very quick to moan about Chris (my OH) but he does have some good points and I will admit I don't 'big him up' enough (oooh made me think of Viagra then :rotfl: Concentrate Sarah!!!)

So here's a thread that we can put in some positive vibes about the people around us and hopefully restore our faith in humanity!

Ummm I'll start...
Chris is going to adopt my 10yo son David - he's already a great Dad to him and loves him like his own anyway (not easy as David is heading towards puberty so has outgrown that 'cute' stage lol)

Come on you lot think hard... I'm sure somewhere, somehow at sometime they've had a good moment... Think back if ya have to!!

Happy thoughts only please!!!

My OH (also a Chris) is my rock. During both pregnancies he has taken on the majority of the cooking and helps out a lot more with our daughter. When I was breastfeeding in the early days he would bring me tea and toast and make our meals. He's a fantastic dad, even if he is a bit of a soft touch and our daughter adores him.

My mum is always there with advice and a sympathetic ear when needed but also will tell me honestly when I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill!

My Hubby is a Star!! Admittedly he drives me around the bend at times :wall: !! But he's a great Hubby & friend, & an amazing dad!! With this pregnancy, Ive had 23 weeks of really bad sickness, then my SPD kicked in around 12 weeks, resulting in me being on crutches & lots of rest, & he has taken on a great deal of the cooking, cleaning, shopping, school runs, looking after the kids as well as working full time. He also runs me lovely bubble baths when Im feeling down, with candles etc & a lovely back rub after.

Just hope I havent jinxed myself, he's probably gonna p*** me off whe he gets home, LOL!!

Great thread Sarah.

xx

Well the first person i think of is actually my Inflammatory bowel disease nurse (who is retired) Last year she was an absolute rock for me. I know its her job but without her i wouldnt have got through a period of very bad illness.

My OH is a really good dad and never bothers about going out (like I thought he would) when all his mates do, happily stays in with us and watches oran all the time when im working/on nights and never complains about it when everyone is texting him telling him to get a sitter and go out, he could do that but he never does. he also loves me no matter what and has stuck by me through the hard time and i love him to death for that!

My mum and dad are my rocks, they look after me like im still their baby daughter - they have helped out with money no end and are constantly 'lending' for things that unexpectedly crop up (car breakdowns etc) then wipe it clean anyway. They are always their for Oran whenever I need them to be, even if it means cancelling their own plans so I can do something with OH , they did this once and I didnt know, I was so mad as didnt want them to loose out so I could go out and they said they would rather I was happy. They held of putting their house up forsale 'just incase' me OH & oran needed to go there once we sold the apt and now they cant sell it cause of the market ( :x  ) mum uses her holidays at work to help out if I ever need her to take care of oran if I have the chance of OT so we can get some more £££s. Their giving us the money for the wedding and mum is being a star helping me organise it. I just can not praise them enough, i love them to bits and I just dont know what I would do or where we would be without them. I only pray and hope oran feels like this towards me and OH when he is older (and not the way OH does about his folks) but I KNOW he will feel so happy and proud of his grandparents as they are the best grandparents in the world.

:D

My Best Mate: she's always there to rant to and cry on her shulder and she's bloody gorgeous too :D

Love You Faye xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

my FIL can be a nightmare but they have just had luke for the whole weekend and spoilt him rotten its nice to have time for ourselves as a couple knowing DS is having a great time and being well looked after, the in laws have a heart of gold and would do anything for us, i need to stop giving them such a hard time :talkhand:

My daughter! She just has to smile and cuddle me going 'ahhhh' and my life is all good again :D

My hubby! When I start ranting about something to the extent that I'm going high pitched and only dogs can hear me, he comes over and cuddles me and says 'you have me, you have Moo, we're happy, dont let anything else bother you' and I calm down instantly :D

That's so lovely! :)

my parents: they may do my head in (alot) and i cant always tell them everything (due to me protecting them) but when i need them they are always there...for example when my car failed its MOT they footed the extra £80 to pay for the repairs, im onw in the crap with money and dispite them struggling are offering me money to clear it (iv not taken it though its not fair on them).
