OUR Positives!!!

I love reading this thread and thinking what has went well for me today. Well done Lainey for thinking of this

* Went to mother & baby group with my friend today and Dylan really joined in, and everyone just loves him there
* Took D for a walk down the street afterwards and bought myself a pair of jeans (only out of Primark but they're really nice)
* Had a shower, shaved my legs (not often I can say that) and am about to go to St Tropez!
* Took D out for a walk in his pram after dinner because it was gorgeous - he was in his pyjamas and sleeping bag so I just lifted him out pram and into his cot! Hope the fresh air makes him have a bit of a lie in!
* Called my big bro and had a laugh on the phone with him

Off to do my tan now then xx

Another good day my positives for today:

Met my friend at the gym and took Jessica swimming
Had a lovely lunch
Bought some material to make Jessica a sling
Made a really nice tea
Went shopping

and when the kids are in bed i am going to go to the gym.

Foxxi - I'm due back on the 15th July! Got all Mhairi's childcare sorted, coz I'm going back full time which is a bit daunting! What about you? Are you still in the service?

Today for me -

Rubbish, up at 4 am AGAIN with tootsie, threw a wobbler (this is my second wobbler in one week. NOT like me!! ) at about 6 am coz I was sooooooo tired. So there the positives start -

* My mum and dad got up, came through to the kitchen and said "Right you, back to bed, we're on Mhairi duty" which I did and slept till just before 10 . Feel like a new woman!

* The twats that fitted the kitchen FINALLY came back to sort out the snags!

* I realised it was pay day!

* Mhairi and I went to Mothercare this afternoon and bought lots of lovely summary clothes! It'll probably upset her other gran, as she is ALWAYS buying Mhairi clothes (always from the designer baby shop in the town, Sarah Louise, Emile et Rose, Dani...have you seen the prices?!?!? My god, it's daft to put a drooling spewing pooing monster in clothes THAT expensive) and I've gone and bought what I want her to wear! )

* I'm getting my tea and going for a shower!!

Foxxi - I'm due back on the 15th July! Got all Mhairi's childcare sorted, coz I'm going back full time which is a bit daunting! What about you? Are you still in the service?

* Fynn seems to be a lot better... the little bugger has passed it onto me!

* I am now sat here with a large fishbowl size glass of wine!

Anyway... theres prob loads more positives for today.. but the ones listed above are my main ones!

I sorta have to go back full time till I work out the money situation. I'm already getting money from Mhairi's Dad, but haven't broached the subject of needing more to help with childcare (in other words I can't be arsed having another argument! )! I am looking forward to it, and I can't wait for Mhairi to start nursery. She's too damn bright for me to entertain ALL day, and doesn't do that sleeping thing, so I'm really happy that I got her into nursery (massive waiting list) and that she'll have the stimulation she needs! Think I'll enjoy her more too!

Have a fantastic holiday, you really deserve it! Hope you and DH get (it) on! Fynn will have a wicked time having mummy and daddy all to himself!

I feel exactly the same as you with regards to the nursery.. it is hard

entertaining them all day.. I feel like nursery can give Fynn something more that I cant give him.. it will be nice for him to mix with other kids.. Instead of being with me all day!

Im sure we will have a fab time.... and I hope I 'get it' as well

Hi girls!

My positives from today:-

* Went to Sing & Sign with DD which was brilliant fun

* Went for a nice long walk in the sunshine this afternoon to a lovely local tearoom and met up with my Mummy&Baby friends. We sat in the sunshine and played on the grass with the babies. I didn't spend any money as they all bought coffees etc and didn't notice I didn't (I'm so poor!). We took some nice photos too. DD wore her sunhat and looked so beautiful!

* Made further progress with setting up my babysitting circle

* Did 3 loads of washing and hung 2 loads outside to dry in the sunshine

* Watered my windowboxes

* Spoke to someone about my business idea - its a real go-er so I'm still really considering it and am hopefully meeting a great contact on Monday

* Got an offer offering me a free Marie Claire magazine no postage etc so phoned up and took it

* Answered some emails

Girls, how have your days been?

My positives from today:-

* Went to PND counsellor for 5th time, one more to go. Hard session today but at least I went

* Went to get my teeth cleaned (I'm not tooth obsessed, just happened to have two dental appointments this week!)

* Decided to sell some unused baby stuff at my local NCT sale to raise some cash for DD's next set of cloth nappies

* Had a nice coffee and lunch in a garden cafe

* DD has been in an amazing mood today - so happy and smiley. So many people commented on what a lovely baby she is

Glad you had such a good day! I love it when Mhairi is in a smiley mood and smiles at strangers and in return makes them smile too!

Today was ok -

* Mhairi woke at 5am....so SLIGHT improvement!

* Got my room sorted and tidy

* Mhairi went to her other gran's this avo and I had a kip!

* Remembered to phone for my prescription

* Phoned and booked my leg wax and tan for Mhairi's christening

* I got a txt from someone today , and it made me happy !

Today has been rubbish, but I'm here to post positives, so here goes -

* I ordered Mhairi a teething necklace....something has GOT to help my wee bairn sleep better!

* Mhairi is away at her Gran's for the night, so I might actually get some sleep! Or I may actually be up most of the night wondering how Mhairi is!

* I've still been getting good txt messages!

* I watched Steel Magnolias - love that film!

* Going to crack open a bottle of wine....NOW!

I've had a good day

*Went shopping and bought lots more baby bits
*bought some nice bits for the scrapbook I want to do (and bought a scrapbook)
*have a big bar of milkybar chocolate
*managed to walk round the shops without fainting and without getting too tired!

Hey girls!

Lovely to read about your days - Lainey I really hope Mhairi starts sleeping a bit better for you really soon.

My positives from today:-

* OH took DD to Baby Band - they had good fun

* We got our petrol for the week with no probs - didn't panic buy but we did need to fill up for the week ahead as normal

* Made DD some pear and raspberry purees to save money on buying the Organix ones

* Went to visit a friend for lunch and they made smoked salmon sushi and I had some lemon sorbet for pudding - yum!

* DD is still being really lovely - she ate all her lunch and all her tea with no fussing and being silly and was so happy and smiley again. She was in fits of laughter after her bath too - she's such a wee superstar!

* I got a thank you text from someone I gave some 'extra' fresh frozen homemade baby food too - made me happy.

* Our neighbour came to tell us that his insurance is fixing a good third of our (shared) flat roof and we have agreed to share his excess as its a good deal for us. Apparently the assesor said that the roof was in great condition and advised us of a product to buy to keep the bit thats not getting repaired in good condition

* My neighbour also cut his hedge which helps us get light into our kitchen - he could have lobbed another foot off of it to really make a difference for us, but I am trying to see the positive side!

* Just watched no. 3 from series 1 of Lost - I love that Sky are showing episodes from Series 1 on Saturday nights!

My positives today are:

The weather has been beautiful

Took the kids over their nans and they had a lovely time playing with each other

Imogen had her first playing outside experience today, my mil mowed her lawn so i got a blanket and a pillow and sat DD outside with some toys and she sat there playing in the sunshine, she was so smiley and happy.

My DD said da da da to he daddy today which made me swell with pride and OH was chuffed

Got lots of ashing done

Have stuck to my weighwatchers plan again today

Cooked a beautiful home made meal for my family

just silly little ones from me today -


-Ive chucked out as much as i have packed so far!! means its going to be an extra trip to the dump on monday!

-i found my scan pictures from alice, which i thought was lost (i thought they where in my notes that the took when i had alice)

-Ive eaten a whole big bag of buttons (give it a bit though and it won't feel like such a good thing!! )

-It was such nice weather and my flat is such a mess, we went to my mums for bbq!!!!

My James was home today

Me and James got some more of the store room done and it's finaly looking like a sitting room


I met Tracey2 today at Bluewater and she is lovely i had a great day

i bought a cute hot water bottle with a rainbow colured cover
i had a lovely meal round at james Mum's house

His Mum had bought me a lovely top to wear for after i give birth with buttons down the middle for easy access to aid breast feeding awwww

James has now gone back to Reading but i will spend more time with him when he is home as
I AM ON MATERNTIY NOW
