One born every minute

I love it! will have to watch on catch up tomorrow though as 9 is my bedtime atm haha

Ahhh. I do like this show, but not sure if I can handle watching it now pregnant. Think it'll just ake me too emotional. Or terrified of what's to come. Or both!

I watched some of it before I got pregnant, but since finding out I can't bring myself to do it. I think I would just terrify myself! :oooo:

lol anothe 9pm bedtime here! I will watch on catch up tonight yay! x

I like it sometimes - mainly just to remember my own labours and cry - but I dont think that it represents the reality of labour at all.

Just watched it.. I wouldnt watch it if you dont wanna cry  get tissues ready.

Oooh I'll have to catch up with it later!
Used to watch it all the time before I was preggers!

I used to love this! until I actually exepreinced labour for the first time and realized that it no way portrays what it is really like :rotfl: however I am a sucker for crying over the bits where the baby is born <3 Far too emotional!

I think I've seen like one active labour. Some pools and mostly just inductions and when they come in labour again just shown to a bed. I just feel like I'd hate that experience. The worst part of my first induction was being left on trace whilst contractions were on full bung awful.

Yeah the babies are too cute just takes me back I never used to cry at it before the boys were born.

My labour was pretty much what goes on in there! Ha! I was actually.going to bham womans before i moved, i could have been on it paha.

For some bed bound is a reality but not for all. Christ my first was an induction and I ended up on the bed the whole duration. Second I was in the pool majority.

I just get the feeling that's what they are told to do for the show. It might not be I'm just a skeptic  xx

Tbh ... I think the pain of labour would make me tell em to fk off if they told me how to act lmao. I assulted a midwife well i pushed her lol, then i had my epi and was the happiest person alive lol. Then jusy sat there for hours talking liek they do on the show passing the time lol

Yeah but what if they don't show the ones that just don't play ball. I dunno. I just don't get how for majority it's the exact same. I haven't seen every episode but a fare few it's just the feeling I get from it. I do think the bit at the end is real. Don't think anyone could fake that ring of fire scene.

Assaulted a MW that's funny. First time I was verbally abusive quite a bit but it was induction and honestly just so fast and sore. The second I was in the pool on g&a for pushing and even had the music on. It wasn't very active or anything. I spent the two days in the house being active in labour then I plumped myself in the bath and eventually was mooing OH is like right get out let's go and I was 7cm!

I love reliving it all but I have my hands full with the boys to even consider it. I'm content. Maybe another 2y I'll be back here for TTC.

xxx

Lmfao. Im glad ive not experienced the ring of fire hahaha. Theres a few where thier babies didnt make it tho, or have something wrong, which makes me think its a real. Idk. Maybe they just show the labours people would prefer to watch lol.

Lmao she wouldnt get her hand out my vag! I was screaming at her she was basically fisting me trying to break my waters (which broke themselves a short while later! Ugh). Anyway so i just pushed her away from me. Haha i bet your OH got some verbal abuse to then heh.

Oh god not not for me at leaat 5 years for numbrr 3. Number 2 came along fast and unexpexted. Who knows you might get broody in the year :p aha

Nah my recent birthday made me wanna knuckle down and get stuff in line. I feel I've been really lax. So I'm currently redoing the house top to bottom then learn to drive then a holiday then a new house then a new baby. I need routine now. I don't save for anything or that so I need to start nesting.

No I was super nice to him stroking his hand and that. I think probably because I was half wired and he was comforting me the MW kept telling g me to move really patronising saying 'baby doesn't like that position' or push when I was pushing for dear life lmao. Second one was just night and day. If anything the MW was trying to push G&A at me but in the pool I was nice. Didn't notice the ring of fire second time as much. I've never been rude to him during labour. During the day yes any other day yes but labour he was a comfort for me.

The one I lost last year wasn't expected and we weren't thrilled either but it was just too soon after what was a tough battle with allergies etc but I think I'd like another age gap same if not maybe when C is at school because then I'd get a bit more time. Jackson wasn't at school for 8m when Carter was born so I was really worn down esp with Carter having cmpa and reflux. So ideally 5 year.

Yeah I guess your right. I've never seen a surprise stillborn though only one where they knew and likewise that could be pre emptied. I sound shocking assuming but I'm telling you once I get a though that's it lol. The camera does well at capturing emotion though the good bad and ugly. I like that for it too. X

I think the births are real, that's the way hospital births normally go because they have standard protocol, I just think the time lapse makes it look like you'll have popped it out and be having a cup of tea in no time :rotfl: when ACTUALLY all you're thinking is 'dear god this is the day I die'
