This sickens me that they're leavin you all night not knowing. It's not fair.

I hope to God they do have it wrong and have worried you unnecessarily. If nothing was picked up a week ago, why now? ?

Thinking of you and trying to think positively for you as you probably can't right now. I would be the same.

I did't feel my waters leak i just went in with bleeding and they told me that my baby would die they even sent someone in my room to discuss funerals, doctors kept saying i would go into labour and nothing i could do, I think they give you worse case scenario, because if they say to you everything could be fine and its not you could sue them etc. I know its wrong , i do really understand what your going through and i went by my gut instinct while my baby is still moving and heart beating i will not give up. When my fluid level was very low the only option theygave me was my waters were leaking nothing else, nothing about kidneys or anything else. I really hope for the best for you.

have you had ketones detected all the way through? as your sickness stopped or is it still ongoing? i thought ketones was picked up if you didnt eat enough but if your throwing up i suppose ketones would show up as your not getting nutrition from the foods you are eating if that makes any sense

Thanks Lex, they are b*stards I didnt realise NHS sonographers dont do weekends! Surely theres more than one person that needs them over the weekend & waiting Saturday to Monday with no answers just takes the piss! x

they do always give you worse case scenario they did when my dd had menigococcal septicema (sp) and again when she got pneumonia its scary knowing but they have to tell you because it could happen

Yes ketones all the way through, sickness has got much better the last 2 weeks but before that I'd been in hosp what feels like a million times for rehydration IVs / antisickness IVs. They told me ketones indicate that your body is struggling & breaking down fats because you are not getting enough nutrition, Ive lost quite a lot of weight since being preg due to vomiting constantly/ not being able to eat/ bringing the food I do manage to eat straight back up & only recently started to eat properly although still not anywhere near as much as before pregnancy. There were no ketones last night though x

MOM did they check you for fluid before they told u that? They said I had no amniotic fluid present outside & no leaks either so that kidneys was the most likely option, especially coupled with all the ketones Ive had throughout.
I hate the NHS x

yes they did the lying down test and only did swabs for infection. but they said they weren't sure as all they could see was blood. I really hope that the keytones is from your sickness i find it strange that it was just picked up at your 4d scan and nothing at 20 weeks scan at all. I had scan because of bleeding and tats when they noticed low fluid.

No it was my 3rd, it was a very hard time and I didn't deal with it very well I just wanted to be at home with my other kids and struggled being in hospital for weeks.then i even struggled to bond with him when he was born as i had been told for so long that he wouldn't survive, I am happy to report he is 7 now and yes he is a bit behind at school but he was born at 33 weeks so i think that will sort itself out soon enough and he is just perfect in every way.
I was dumb founded when they sent someone in to talk about funerals i told her to leave and not come back unless i had given birth and my baby was dead.

ww sorry they told you this i know if they done a 2d scan when they do 4d scans they can see if there was aproblem with the kidneys but the weight and everything sounds right for baby the best you can do for now is drink plenty and do kick counts too but if shes moving ok then theyll be no problem with her if the sonographer at your 4d scan was that worried she should of phoned someone t your local hospital and they would of had to check you also i had to much water with amy one week and went the next had it went down then went up again. hey do replenttish them selves to did she tell you how low it was some time lack of fluid is know either but it also reduces as baby grows they shouldnt have sed the reasons why as they told you as they dunno for definate

just wanted to say im thinking of you and at my 4d scan at 28 weeks my little man was weighing at 2lb 10oz which the huy said is perfectly average so i wouldn't pay too much attention to that bit.
