October Mummies!

Today I'm tired, feel a bit sicky, and I've got a sore back! But thankful I've got these symptoms I guess!

My boobs have been tender for about a week now, but had a couple of days where they were particularly painful! Now they are just tender to touch. I feel rank tonight! Got in from work and ate a bag of pickled onion monster munch which I love, but fell asleep after and woke up with that awful taste in my mouth! Definitely seem to have been having some waves of nausea but thankfully not so bad I feel like I want to throw up!

I really craved pickled onion monster munch tonight when I was at work!
I work in a garage and I've just finished, got myself a digi to see if it had progressed any and just done it

Woop woop!

Is anyone suffering from food aversions? I’ve really gone off meat. I’ve tried to force it down, but it’s making me feel disgusted n traumatised. I was a veggie before but thought it best to start eating meat but it’s just horrible!

I’m actually struggling to eat fruit and veg. I know I should be but I’ve just gone right off it. All I want is salty things which is strange for me as I don’t usually like it x

I've gone off a few things, lost my appetite a bit! I find I'm not hungry but if I dont eat I feel sick. I've had some plain biscuits just now and feel a little better! I usually love my food but everything sounds gross to me!

Welcome and congratulations! How far along were you when you found out? With both my pregnancies I found out at 4 weeks so very early. This time I had a lot of cramping around the time my period was due so I thought it was coming but it never showed up!

I’ve had my booking appointment through for March 5th. So pleased as last time I didn’t hear anything until I was 10 weeks and had an appointment at 11 weeks so it was all so late! This time I will be 9 weeks :) just want the next two weeks to hurry up now!
Thanks! I was about 7 weeks when I found out about my first, only just 5 weeks this time. I've not had any more cramping in the last couple of days so hoping it was just settling in!

Hi and welcome Merry

With my ds I had no symptoms at all in the first trimester and this time I have been tired, had waves of nausea every now and then and had a lot of cramping initially - I’ve heard it can be normal....

how far along were you when you found out about your first pregnancy?
Thanks! I've found out almost 3 weeks sooner than with my daughter and I had the easiest pregnancy in the world with her, no symptoms other than being a bit queasy for a few weeks early on. Three cramping has gone now so hoping all is well and it was just normal stretching!

Thread hopping here! I’m a vegetarian and wouldn’t dream of touching meat just because I’m pregnant. I’m carrying twins and my iron is perfect so far. So long as you are eating well and or taking vitamins you don’t need to force yourself to eat meat at all. If you’re concerned I would speak to your midwife, when I told mine I was a vegetarian she didn’t bat an eyelid.

I agree. I’m not a vegetarian but my other half has stopped eating meat for health reasons so I eat a lot less meat than I used to, but I’m not concerned I’m not getting enough nutrients. Lots of women are vegetarian or even vegan and they go on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies and babies.

I’m have an aversion to anything healthy! The only thing I can stomach is carbs! I’ve been sick every morning and a couple of times in the day when I’ve felt hungry. My appetite has increased 100%. I feel like I’ve put on a stone already! :-( Hopefully when the sickness has passed I can get my diet in check!

Is anyone else struggling to sleep? I’m sooo tired but just can’t sleep. Thought it was just the storms but it’s still going on x
Yes! I just toss and turn, and when I do get to sleep I wake up in a hot sweat.
I remember this from the early days last time too, and sadly it didn’t ease for the whole pregnancy!

Anyone else still religiously POAS every morning ?! I don’t know what I’m expecting but it seems to really ease my anxiety in the early days seeing the lines.

I promise you, you sleep again! You just adapt to a new kind of “sleep” aka I used to feel 11+ hours was a proper lush treat but now if I get to bed at 10 and have a cheeky 7:30am lie in then I feel super refreshed! xxxx

Thanks to all who wished me well, just catching up now :)

We've been camping all weekend for a friend's 40th. I'm 99% sure they all worked out I was pregnant. Someone asked me if I wasn't drinking because I was still breastfeeding and when I said no she was like "ohhhh" haha.

My cocktail of antihistamines, B6 and ginger pills has really taken the edge off the nausea, I almost feel normal. I only vomited once this week! Much better than 5+ times a day like before.

@Christiney88 I'm a vegetarian too and you don't need to eat meat to get your iron/protein intake. It is hard in tri 1 when food aversions put most pregnant ladies off veggies though lol. Tbh if you've been veggie for a while meat will make you feel sick.

You're lucky, I'd kill to sleep until 7:30!! My daughter is up at 5:45 every single day no matter what :? still wakes up to have a little whinge a few times in the night too.
