***October 2019 mummies***

Oh! I forgot my update ...

Had an early scan this morning at 6+1 ... Managed to see and hear a teeny tiny heat beat 114 bpm with an abdominal scan <3 Dated a day behind, but otherwise looking very good! I was worried that we booked it too early - but I am feeling so relieved that everything is tracking well x

That’s AMAZING!! Especially hearing a heartbeat with an abdominal! X

So is anyone else’s nose bionic?! I can smell everything so intensely. I can’t stand cooked food and anything that smells a little bit bad is so intense and makes me sick. Getting to the point where I’m anxious to go anywhere in case of bad smells?!

I love being pregnant but jeez :rotfl:

Scan tomorrow, will be 8+5 so hopefully will see little one much clearer. Taking along my mum and mother-in-law (to be) too so that will be lovely for them!

Hope everyone is well. X

Hi I am very new to this and been searching for somewhere where I can chat to other mummys to be!! This is my first pregnancy after coming off the pill at the end of December. It all happened so quickly which is amazing but I am so anxious!! I don't think anyone prepares you for the anxiety you feel once you find out you're pregnant! I am constantly googling things and worried about misscarrying. According to my Dr I am due at the end of October so I am still very early (almost 6 weeks) but I wish I had more symptoms to make me more as ease! Right now I am getting tender boobs, sometimes feeling a bit sick and faint but this isn't happening every day, not sleeping at night therefore shattered come 5pm and getting the metallic taste in my mouth. The thing that is worrying me is lack of feeling sick but I know I should be thankful about this! I wish every pregnancy was the same so we knew what we were supposed to be feeling haha. I still have until the middle of April for my scan which feels like AGES away so just trying to take it day by day until then. Anyone feeling the same as me!? Xx

Hi All,
Feels good meeting other October mummies , yet to confirm with Dr the due date but the calculator says October ...:):):):)

Hi everyone.

I am 5 weeks and 4 days and a first pregnancy. What a whirlwind it has been so far. My boobs are so tender and my mouth is .... So... dry! I'm drinking lots of water but it just doesn't go! And smells are becoming more intense. And I have constant dull ache in my womb area. Lol.

Please tell me this is all normal?

Good to know I'm not alone!!!! It's all so scary isnt it. So hard taking things day by day, I am so impatient!!!! Can't wait for my 12 week scan to make sure everything is okay. Are you getting many symptoms?

Me too. Really impatient. And also it a a funny stage where you can't really get too excited in case something goes wrong. And I am RUBBISH at keeping secrets! Think this is my biggest secret yet. My mouth is so dry, my boobs hurt so badly and I just have a dull ache in my lower belly. And I'm knackered. And I feel grumpy too! What are your symptoms? X

Me and my husband are the same, we have barely spoke about when the baby will come because we are scared incase we jynx anything! It's like we can't fully enjoy the pregnancy because we are so scared incase anything happens. I just wish next month was here so I can have my 12 week scan. When is your scan? I also have those symptoms minus the mood swings and dry mouth. I can't remember not having sore boobs now, mine are already on the large side so they are so sore just now! Sometimes I get a metal taste in my mouth too and there have been a few days where I've felt a bit sick and faint but nothing is consistent. It feels so good to talk to people about this since it is a bit secret just now hahahah

Aw @bonjourkatie - has it gotten any better? How terrible to be averse to cooked food! x

Welcome @Lis90 @El Banks and @JoeyH .. if you go back into this thread you can see the rest of our early symptoms - and pretty much consistent with my experience so far. I am 6+5 and not felt sick or nauseous - just super tired, crampy and sore boobs x

You can get a blood test at 10 weeks to determine the gender or get an ultrasound around 20 weeks.

That's me now officially 6 weeks and still not an awful lot of symptoms...freaking out incase I have misscarried without knowing although I haven't bled at all or had any major cramping except at the very start. The only thing that has been consistent is the sore boobs when i take my bra off. I feel so silly everyone keeps telling me how lucky I am but I feel myself wishing for sickness. I know I am still very early though just looking for a bit of reassurance. Wondering whether I should phone the helpline or if it would be totally pointless. Still got another 6 weeks until my scan :(

I'm 7 weeks now, and still no nausea and sickness - and I had an early scan to check that confirmed everything was tracking okay. I think it's normal to have little symptoms up until this point - so I would try not to stress about it. I have only been really tired and have sore boobs. If you have no red bleeding and no pain - then try and think positive. It seems like the 6th - 8th week is when nausea can really kick in - so it could still happen for you.

My 2c ... If there is a healthy little bubba in there - you have to keep nourishing it and keeping yourself as healthy and active as possible. The way I approached this pregnancy earlier on (as my DH was always anxious about a mc) is that I am pregnant now - unless "told otherwise" .... so I have to be as healthy, active and stress free as possible to keep nourishing the little bubba. IFFFFF I end up having a mc, then I will deal with it then and only then. Stressing about a mc is understandable, but in the absence of any evidence of a mc - why torment yourself? x

Hey ladies and welcome newcomers...congratulations. If you let me know your due dates, I'll add you to the first post.

Will try to catch up properly tomorrow x

Thank you. I'm generally not an anxious person but this has turned me into a crazy person. Did you pay for the scan or did you manage to get one from your doctor? I'm glad everything is going well with your pregnancy without sickness, because I have only told my close family and my mum had sickness from the get go with me and my sister there's no one to talk to thats in the same boat as me so that makes me feel a bit more at ease. You are totally right I don't know why i put myself through this ...I don't know if it is all of these crazy hormones that are pumping around my body!! Thanks again I need to try and calm down a bit and think more positively

I haven't been for a scan yet but according to the first date of my period I think I'm due on October 29th but because I fell pregnant straight after coming off the pill (I never bled on my pill) I don't know how accurate it is.
