****** October 2018 Mummies! ******

Welcome jenni! :)

I didn’t comment but I followed your original thread in the ‘Am I Pregnant’ section as it was around when I got my BFP. :)
I’m due on the 8th.

Guess what I’ve done? I’ve officially booked the private gender scan! :D We’ll find out on Sunday 29th August!!!

Thank you so much for the lovely welcome ladies :)

CornishGirl, it turned into a crazy long thread didn’t it?! Turns out I just found out super super early! Seems so long ago now.

I’m 13 weeks today, yay :) :) finally starting to feel more real and scary, but so exciting! This may very well be my last pregnancy so really trying to enjoy it this time round.

When do we move over to tri 2, is it 13 weeks? Always confuses me.

Hope you’re all having a lovely waster weekend so far.
Xxx

Hello ladies, thanks for all the luck. Everything was perfect, I shouldn't have been so worried! This has still not sunk in, how can I be in such denial when I've known about this for 8 weeks!!

Look at this long-legged little angel <3

When the nurse was typing up our notes she had the door open and our IVF doctor walked past and spotted us so came in, she got the biggest hug from me, it was all so surreal and lovely she was so pleased for us and I am so grateful of her!

wow thats gone huge!! haha. This is the 3d scan above. Little sod wouldnt look at us and had hands across face. Too cute though! PS we didnt ask for 3D it was 2D then he just flicked the 3D on for us. The 2D one below isnt great quality (and I flipped it round as baby upside down) haha

This is amazing gem :D it doesn't seem like to easiest job for the sonographer to get them in the right position, she had me wiggling my hips in the air trying to get the little one in the right position, its like they've got little attitudes already like 'leave me alone, I'm comfy!' haha x

Wow Lyndsey what a leggy little bean! <3

Writergem, you’re defo having a boy - he’s already being naughty 😂

We have said boy since before conception! We all just think boy always have. Watch it be a girl now haha. I obv don't mind either way x

Has anybody been brave enough to start buying yet? I've just bought a Beatrix Potter My First Book Collection... too cute! But thinking I'll wait until I know gender before getting more.
Might get a few nappies and vests etc x

Indeed we are sweetie :) I seen the other day that Pandora have a new spring collection and one of the charms is a lovely colourful rainbow - that definitely needs to be added to my bracelet. Will maybe suggest that hubs buys it and puts it away until wee one is here :yellow:

Haha I collect Swaorvski crystals and saw a little pram one the other week and mentioned about it for maybe after the scan. Hubby came back with it today! It's too cute. Rainbow Pandora sounds amazing xx

Lovely to see everyone’s scans :)

Writergem I keep looking at things online but haven’t bought anything yet. I really want to buy some vests or something but also a bit apprehensive for some reason! I think it’s cause it’s hard to believe that at some point in the near future an actual baby will be in my flat haha

I know I'm the same! Still nervous even though I'm not over 12 weeks. Like I say prob will get a few bits then really start after 20 weeks x

Wow that’s an amazing scan picture!!
Glad to hear all went well.

I really don’t have much to buy this time round, but I’m desperate to get all the old baby clothes out and sort through boy/girl stuff. Just need to find out the gender first. I’m determined to get a gender scan booked in, need to work on convincing OH that the 20 week scan is just too far away. Xxx

Wow so much positivity in here today! :D Loving it!

I shall continue to add to this... I’m finally starting to recover from my flu/viral infection and as it lifts I can tell my early pregnancy symptoms are almost gone. But this doesn’t worry me because I remember it all from last time.
I’ve had a brilliant day with my husband and toddler; took the toddler to a music group, soft play, round to one of his friends to play, to the park and bought him a little tykes police car as a treat. Probably spoiled him a bit but it’s Easter! :D

Loving the positive vibes here ladies I came to add my own

I'm staying at my mums house this weekend by myself and just talking to her has made me feel a million times more confident about my pregnancy and even a little excited!

Feeling very happy right now

I'm starting to come down with a bug/cold/cough and it's gutting because I know I can't take anything which is rubbsih!! Luckily getting lots of rest is helping!!

I've not bought anything yet, still not quite feeling real though! Only 12 days until the scan xxx

Awww they’re cute. I bought a little cosy baby grow today and some socks from Asda. I also bought a pack of 7 white vests and 2 maternity bras in mothercare sale. I didn’t know where to buy bras as I don’t think I need maternity yet but figured they would be comfier. At the moment I have ONE bra that is comfy enough to wear!!! I had to stop myself buying loads of clothes in mothercare sale. They have cute unisex stuff so was difficult to resist.

It’s hard to know what size to buy at the moment as well. I’ve just gone with first size at that’s up to 9/10IB and I’m just hoping that I don’t have a massive baby haha

When I had my son we had to go out to Mothercare the day after he was born as we didn't have any clothes that fit him as he was so teeny!! He was 7lbs, but nothing we had even first size fit him! We had to get tiny baby x

I was think should I get some smaller clothes at some point just in case as well?! I might just wait and see though or just get a couple of things. Working in NICU also makes me think that first size looks massive!! I have to keep reminding myself that most babies will probably be fine in first size clothes even if there a little bit big at first.
