So I’m 11 weeks tomorrow, and this evening I’ve noticed spotting. Brown blood and it’s only on wiping and I’ve not got any pain. But it’s still totally freaking me out

So rang my community midwife this morning about the bleeding. She gave me the phone number for early pregnancy unit and told me I could self-refer. Spend half an hour trying to get through to early pregnancy only to have a rude lady tell me I can’t self refer, and that since the bleeding has now stopped there’s no way they’ll see my before Thursday anyway. Now can’t get hold of my community midwife again in order to get her to refer me properly. I’ve decided if I haven’t heard by 10 I’m just gonna book a private scan and sod the cost

I'm sorry the EPU were of no help. Hopefully you can get yourself booked in for a scan for some reasurence. Fingers crossed baby is just giving you a fright and it's nothing to be worried about, the fact it's brown in colour is a really good sign. Keep us posted xx

I'm 12wks on Saturday.... looking forward to my 12wk scan tomorrow, want to start relaxing a little, and being able to tell everyone.... hard to hide this bloat any longer... lol..

Thank you Melanie for adding me So yesterday I had the appointment with the midwife (soooo relieved that she was such a lovely and caring person!) and today I was booked in for the Down Syndrome scan.

I unfortunately had to go alone but everything seems fine. The baby is too small to have the Down Syndrome scan done, so that will be done the 16th.

I'm just really relieved that everything looks okay and my due Date has only be changed by one day, so it is the 26th of November

NOW I am really really excited and I just can't wait to tell my parents!

I've still got the nausea But that's it now. It's so different from my first pregnancy as I didn't get any nausea at all, if it weren't for the BFP I wouldn't have believed I was pregnant.

I'm desperately waiting on that first scan too, seems to be dragging, 2 weeks today! Xx
