******November Mummies 2018******

So (if my newly calculated dates are right) I am 6+2 today.... and I'm twingey/pinching again today low down on the right side once again... Plus I sneezed earlier and got a "stitch" on the left side - odd feeling, never had that before.. Anyone else ?

x

I get that sometimes if I cough or bend a certain way. I remember it with my daughter and I think it's just because everything is growing and moving down there. Always feels like a sharp, quick pinch!

I've just felt really, really tired. My nipples are sore but only if I knock my boobs and I have very, very mild barely there cramping.

Sent my partner to get me some Vitamin C tablets (which the NHS website says are OK to take during pregnancy) as I am hoping it will help with my energy levels.

I may join that Facebook group later on.... I'm trying to keep this pregnancy offline for as long as possible (I work online so once I share the news, it'll be everywhere!)

Can I be added to 26th please, pregnant with my rainbow baby after miscarriage in January. Praying this one sticks x

Congratulations, fingers crossed for you that your rainbow baby sticks xx

I was wondering when everyone is due to see the midwife for the first time? The first gp appointment my surgery have is on the 9/4/18 when I’m 8 weeks so won’t be seeing the midwife until after then....

I think all GP surgeries are different.

My surgery when I called to say I was pregnant with my now 4yr old... they said "ok great, congrats - well you don't need to see a GP - you can have a midwife appointment once you are at least 7weeks"... and they made appointment for me.

Ahh, its frustrating because I asked whether they could refer me to midwife without seeing a GP as this is my second pregnancy as didn't want to waste a GP slot but they said no as they needed to confirm the pregnancy!!

Last time I was in and out in less than five mins and they didn't even confirm it!

That was my biggest surprise - they don't confirm it any more (or my GP don't).. they just assume you can pee on a stick right... lol..

I had an appointment with my gp last week, checked my BP, weight, checked I was taking folic acid etc. I then booked in with the midwife for the 10th April, I'll be 8+1 xx

Same here. I called and asked to make an appointment with the midwife for when I would be 8 weeks. I know from when I was pregnant in 2015/had my daughter in 2016, that I went straight to a midwife appointment so I just followed that again this time.

Maybe call them back to clarify if you need to see your GP or should book an 8-week appointment with the midwife instead?

EDIT: Just seen you already asked!

I may ask to be added in that case once I've had my 12-week scan! :)

If you go by my period date I’d be 8+2, however if you go by my date I’ll be 6+6. I have quite long cycles so I don’t think I’m as far along as the midwife makes me out to be. But I’m not gonna correct her, I’m quite happy to be seen sooner!

I had this... going my LMP I was 6+2 and I had an early scan (following some bleeding) - I've to go back Friday as I don't look as far gone as I said. Working it out on my conception date I was only 5+4 on that first scan date - which explains perhaps why they didn't see what they expected.

I am the same, I ovulated three weeks into my cycle and AF was due on monday so I am only 4 + 2 based on an ovulation date calculator. However if they calculate date based on my period ill be even further along when the midwife sees me....

Fingers crossed for Friday for you. Hope it all goes well. Would love to see the scan pic after 😁

So are you 8 weeks by your period dates or your conception dates? I’d just pick whichever would make you furthest along so you get seen quicker... it’s what I’ve done😂 worst case scenario is I’d have to get a second scan cuz I’d be scanned too early to do the Down’s syndrome screening. Not exactly a hardship! Desperate to see my little bean

Welcome to all the new ladies

I still have very little in the way of symptoms. A little unnerving but I suppose I should be thankful really. According to LMP I'm 5+2 but I reckon I'm closer to 6 weeks going by conception dates.

Hello ladies!! Anyone else having a bit of sickness. I feel so hungry one minute and then when I eat I feel really sick. I’m about 6weeks and need to lie down often. It feels like an on going hangover lol of course without the alcohol.

Are you drinking enough water? If you're dehydrated, that could explain the hangover feeling!
