Hi Ladies

Well its not good news for me, I had my tracking scan on Friday and there was nothing going on in there at all.. zip!!! :(

So my specialist said there was no point carrying on taking the clomid until I have had my tubes checked as she didnt want to waste anymore cycles. So I have been put on the waiting list for my Lap & Dye & ovarian drilling operation ...... only problem is that the waiting time is 3 months!! :(

So for the next 3 months I can do nothing but wait!!

And to make the day even worse she was running really late so I had to spend and hour and half sat in a hopsital waiting room full of pregnant ladies

After the operation I am to go back on clomid but she is also going to get me to take metformin with it as well, but warned me the side effects can be quite nasty!! Ohh yay cant wait!!

Going to "try" and take a break from the whole ttc saga, I just need a break from it all, try and get back to how my life was before we started trying.

So I probably wont be around that much, will still check in to see how all you lovely ladies are doing of course but just not posting as much:friends:

Wish it was better news but sadly it seems my body just doesnt want to work!!

Oh Vicky Im sorry that your news isn't good. The waiting just completely sucks. Its all just red tape as well. In terms of the same waiting room for people who are struggling to ttc and pregnant ladies is just so awful. Its like a constant reminder of you problems when your in there!

Take some time to just enjoy you and your oh. I really hope it passes quickly or you get an appointment sooner! Xxx

sending you hugs and praying for a miracle for you

Just to say metformin isn't always bad. I was on it after I got diagnosed with pcos. I found the first day of starting it and each day I had to up the dose was the worst but wasn't too bad. I hope all goes well for you Hun.xx

I'm really sorry hunny, take care of urself on ur break and update us when it gets to ur drilling or before if u can xxxxxx

sorry you have to wait so long good luck xxxx

Thinking of you Vickyxx,

I have only just been able to get back to ttc after having my lap and dye. we had a 3 month waiting time too.
Go out and have some fun!

xxx

Aw no Vicky

I can totally relate to your situation. It is so horrible to be told that you have to wait a set timeframe.

3 months is a standard response btw so once you figure out where the appointment is, don't be scared of getting in touch with that departments reception and asking for any earlier appointments.

Feed them some bullshit about the doctor saying it would only be a months wait so you are really confused why it is 3 months away - no harm in trying.

I always think of Princess getting her BFP right off the back of her ovarian drilling so i think that having the proceedure done is better than news than when they put you on clomid :)

I hope you enjoy you time away as much as possible. Take care of yourself xx

Oh Vicky

like the other girls have said. Try and enjoy the next 3 months with your OH. y months will hopefully fly by for you and youll be back to it all refreshed. Youve come a long way :)

You know where we all are xxxxxxx

Ahh Vicky I'm so upset for you Hun, I did think things would have turned out differently for you with the clomid. :hugs:

I do wonder if it definitely doesn't work for you as it has made your cycles shorter, do you think there is any chance they didn't scan you at the right time or am I clutching at straws?

I really hope you manage to get a sooner appointment, my mil works in private healthcare and you know how you have the choose and book system, you can sometimes get a quicker nhs appointment if you have a private consultation with the doctor then as most have an nhs practice too once they know you they'll try and get you an earlier nhs appointment.

I can understand you'll be ready for a break, whenever you're ready or feel like it we're all here for you.

Take care my lovely.

Xx

:hugs: sorry the scan didnt go better hun, gutted for you, just look at princess now though the op seemed to work wonders for her and i'm sure it will for you too :hugs: xxxx

:hugs: sorry you've not had better news x
Definetly phone for cancelations appointments when you get your letter through x
I'm on my 2nd week of metformin and it's not that bad x lil dicky tummy now and then but mostly ok x x
Enjoy ur break :) well miss ya x x

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully the waiting time will fly by, I had to wait 3 months for my hysteroscopy op and it went really quickly, so fingers crossed the same will happen for you. Take care and get some 'me' time xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I can relate to your story too. I was on clomid for a couple of months and nothing happened even though when they scanned me it was looking ok, so they put me on the waiting list for the lap and dye which was 3 months. I had an appointment and then there was a cancellation so i had it 6 weeks earlier. Op went well however when i was scanned after my first period and no egg was maturing, therefore i'm back on clomid.
I've had a few scans over the last 6 months and i detest sitting in that waiting room with all the pregnant women, they should have a room separate for you!
If you're having a bit of time out you should go and do something wild!

I'm sorry it wasn't better news for you Vicky. :(

I really hope the appointment comes round quickly. x x

I'm so sorry Viccky! I completely understand you, forget about ttc for a couple of months, live your life and than time will pass by faster!!!

xx

Thanks for all your lovely messages
I am strangely feeling ok, relaxed in fact, knowing that for the next three months I dont have to worry about opks, blood tests, scans etc... I am shocked at how calm and chilled I am feeling. I was a mess when I first got told but woke up the next day feeling ok.

3 months is a long time, but Louise I will take your advice and ring up to see if I can get an earlier appt when I get my letter confirming the details.

Maybe - There is a chance that I could ovulate later, not going to stress over it, said to hubby we are on a 3 month break and he seemed happy with that, said we willl have sex when we want sex not when we have to have sex.

If I notice ewcm then I will act on that but not going to worry about legs in the air, certain positions .. just good old fashioned nookie!!!

Great plan Vicky, I think the relaxed approach is the best aswell, you never know what might happen..! xxxx
