News post for Labour signs for 37 weeks +++ ladies

I agree it is very quiet in here!!
I was taking my littl girl to school this mornign and while I was driving i had a wave of horrible pain (like period but worse) in my lower back, then while at school had another and have had a few since, but been out and about so have not been able to time them to see if they are regular or not. Things just feel different today, im keeping my fingers crossed and praying.

Hope all you ladies are ok?

Fingers crossed Kerrymac

Ive been realy lazy today, hardly stepped out of bed but have to do a 2hour drive to nephews 7th birthday party tomorrow so figure Im storing energy.

same old pains and aches  wonder if I could just sleep till thursday?

   for Araminta and Kerrymac

I've had LOTS of BH's this evening  I hope it's my body preparing for the big event! :cheer: It's veryy scary though....my bump has SERIOUSLY dropped over the last week, it's really low now...

How is everyone else getting on? Am I the only one obsessively sympton spotting?

I'm still here, feeling really fed up today.....no pains or anything from me, just seems to be babies popping out all around me-hope its my turn soon?!

Nothing for me other than a few BH, their getting a lot stronger now, they don't hurt, their just really tight and uncomfortable. Nothing else to report :(

Hope your all doing ok today

you've defently dropped clairey :)

still nothing to report :( though ive started being sick again in the mornings :? though i dont think thats a sign just not very nice

Clairey - glad the fluey dose thing is subsiding.....

My silly bint preggo brain did actually see the name thing before on another post you made but never registered responding to you for some reason....   soz about that!

Cleo is actually my nickname, my full name is Cliona (Clee - oh - nahh) but no one can ever pronounce it so sort of got named Cleo about 10 years ago and it stuck! Good name choice if I do say so myself!!!

My LO has well and truly decided she is staying in there forever I fear, all of the signs and contractions stopped so I have given up being an obsessive symptom spotter for now and resigned myself to the fact I may well have a teenager in my tummy in years to come........

Scan on Tuesday for me to check on my Poly and check bubbies size, if things show she's over 9 pounds then I may well be induced on Thursday as they said she looks like she could be 10lb at full term and they dont want my waters to rupture naturally because of the risk of placental abruption because of the Poly, so I may well have to get waters gently popped with a pin and sit there leaking for a few days.....loverly....cant wait....not!

C'mon baby, I want to meet you!

No problem Cleo, I keep saying and doing daft things too...damn baby brain  There's only so much longer I can use that excuse though....but I'm going to damn well use it while I can  Oooh, fingers crossed all goes well at your scan. Sounds like a healthy lil girl you've got growing in there! :o My MW predicted my LO is going to be about 8lbs, but I'm terrified she's wrong and that she's actually enormous :? I feel like a hippo myself, I think I'm a good 12 and a half stone now     And I'm only 5"4! I hope I get back to my normal self soon, I'm already getting paranoid about how I'm going to lose the weight.....argh, the things I put myself through to have a baby! :D

Mrs_Jay: Oh no, that doesn't sound pleasant :( Have some

Here is my belly pic today! Don't know if it looks any lower than last week though, that may just be my imagination...

I look HUGE

On the sympton side of things, nothing today but a slightly quiet LO.....she's currently got the hiccups though which is quite irritating  I swear my mum tried to send me into labour earlier though, we were in the car and she screamed so loud because a spider was crawling up her arm :rotfl: I swear my waters nearly broke then and there! :rotfl:

Good luck girls.
Jaeda used to get the hick ups all the tim bless her.

Well yesterday I tried to get active to help so I ran up our multistorey car park stairs as we had parked at the top (even managed to do it before the lift got there-I was gutted no one was left in it to see me do it!!)

Today I walked with DS round the reservior (sp?) Next to the hospital I will be going to and started getting quite hard stabbing pains in my cervix area, came home and have been having them off and on since...Just had the mother of all BH/tightenings/contraction/who knows what!!! DH is all excited and called our friend (who will be looking after DS) to be on stand by... :wall: I know he has jinxed it now!!!

OMG CLaire you really have dropped!!! Lovely bump

Friday turned out to be nothing for me, just aches and pains I guess.

I have had a massive clear out last night and today though, (hopefully not a bug) and Im off to see my consultant now to tell her I want her to get my baby out!!

Hope you guys get some more promising symptoms

ive got my term+ appt tomorrow so get to see what they will say then... ive turned obsessive about signs though. Woke up last night for the loo as usual but then got a horrid pain whilst having a BH so got all excited thinking things were starting.... paracetamol later & im waking up when OH was getting ready for work :shakehead: doh. (*TMI alert*) i swear though that if anymore jelly stuff comes out my thingy people will think im actually having flubbers child!! (sorry if that grosses anyone out)

I know te feeling about pains in your lady bits as well.... im hoping its coz of the pressure & LO needs to come out as im now walking weird because of it!

:puke:    :puke:

aramintalovegrove:  I have my fingers crossed that this is the start of something for you :cheer: Keep us posted! And go you for running up the stairs :D I don't think I'd dare run anywhere, my boobs are so bloody big I'd end up with black eyes

kerrymac: Good luck at your appointment - come back and update us on how it all goes. I'm hoping your clearout isn't a bug, but it seems to me that dodgy tummies are quite common in late pregnancy...I seem to have the squits every other day, it's unpleasant and soooooooo annoying! :wall: And thankyou for the compliment, I swear I look like a hippo

Well, it's an odd day here. I had a dream I'd been admitted to hospital and ended up in a row with a MW....hope it's not an omen! Got out of bed and went downstairs, OH was in the kitchen making breakfast and my tummy was rock solid, and it's unusual for me to get BH in the morning....they usually don't start til late evening, so I don't know if that's a sign that my body is getting ever more ready for this baby to come out! I hope so anyway

I've been pretty crampy today which is horrible. I had a lovely long bath though and shaved my legs and armpits and I even managed to do my bikini line so at least I'll be presentable if baby does decide to come out in the next 2 days at least! I've got to finish packing today.....going to be moving into my mum's by Wednesday at the latest, I was meant to be there are the beginning of September :? so can't really leave it much longer now incase things start to happen :cheer: But I doubt they will...

 for everyone!

Another day another announcement of an early baby :?

I really hope that something happens soon for those of you further gone than me  I have visions of still adding to this thread in 18years time!!

GRRRR darn false alarms had such an intense pain last night got the contraction master going, sat on my ball and put on a film to keep me focused and then everything STOPPED  Its my darn DH jinxing things I tell you!!

Lots of  to all the girls with runny bums- Im dreading this as I cant reach round to wipe my arse properly any more.

Kerry mac so pleased you have a date but hoping your LO does things naturally

Clairey: desperation gave me the motivation to get up those stairs  Good luck with the move.

Cleo good luck with the scan tomorrow

kerry P ditto with app tomorrow

And everyone else  you get some action on the contraction front soon

Hi All

I keep reading posts but am usually too chicken to write anything but as I am now a symptom spotter, I thought I'd check myself out.

I'm 37 weeks, baby's 3/5ths engaged already and da Bump is ROCK HARD and has been all day. It's always been a compact bump and 'all baby' but today has been tough going as I have no movement between the bottom of my boobs and top of my legs... means I can't bend down to clean though so that's good :D

Anyone any idea if being solid all day is one long BH or a sign?

Ta & good luck everyone - I'm sooooooo excited! :cheer:

Welcome Goldenone  I don't know anything about your bump being hard ALL day...mine does it intermittently

Having said that, I just had the mother of all BH's. I'd been lying on my side playing solitaire on the laptop and I got up to go to the loo...my belly went rock solid, I lifted up my t-shirt to show OH and you could practically see the outline of the baby inside me  It was incredible! I've got some crampy feelings down below this evening too....but still no sign of any plug, or waters or anything else....but the BH's have definately increased these last few days...

Fingers crossed something happens soon! I am so terrified of being induced, I would much rather have a natural labour if I can, so come on LO and play fair! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Glad you outed yourself Hun its nice to see new posters :D
However dont you dare que jump
i have days of a rock solid belly, I think its more favourable to have intermitant periods of hardness along with pain IIRC.

Clairey, that is very wierd seeing an outline of LO, try and get a piccy if it happens again please!! I keep having dreams where LO sticks her arm/leg RIGHT out so you can see her didgets and we hold onto them and dont let her put them back in, tis a wierd dream I tell you!!

I have walked about a mile up a massive very steep hill near where we live and it killed my hips Im gonna feel it tomorrow i think, Im dedicated to walking as much as possible this next few days to try and get Lo further down and favourable for the consultant to agree to something on thurs. Only thing it did today was give me a few more stabby pains in my cervix, hopefully gravity will do its job though

araminta: When I say you could see the outline of LO, I mean that my uterus contracted SO hard you could see a lump where the baby was.....was really weird, I can tell you lol I will defo try and get a pic if it happens again! Go you for all your walking though babe - I'm going to try to do some more walking this week and get LO moving hopefully!
