News post for Labour signs for 37 weeks +++ ladies

 Hi to all the new posters in here :)

Clairey, thanks but I think Oscar is going to keep me waiting a bit longer as my pains have lessened today :(

taika, I know exactly what you mean. I'm starting to think I was never pregnant at all and this whole huge belly thing is a cruel joke

Cleo, ooh sounds like your little lady will be early what with those pains :cheer:

Walked the dog today and I was getting encouraging pressure and stabby pains but everything is still very irregular and my need to wee has tapered off a bit so i think he has changed his mind :wall: Been doing quite a lot of cleaning and stuff to try and get things moving but nothing as yet. Might have to get bouncing on my ball later :)

Good luck to everyone else

not sure if i can post in here officially yet but i will.... been told today that baby is engaged! now i dont know if it can stay like that for weeks or what but a week & half ago it was only 3/5 so moving down easily. Also got told bump is tender because it is almost all baby as very little fluid left... apparently the amount of fluid can be reduced in the last few weeks (didnt know that & neither did my midwife SIL until she read it today!!)
Ive also got backache but i think thats coz i walked round town for 3 hours tday trying not to drive myself insane by staying in the house everyday :D
Got a consultant appointment tomorrow (badly timed to be the day after a midwife based antenatal appointment) to check my bloods as ive got a condition that might make me produce antibodies that will slow down babys heartbeat in last trimester... going to see if he says the same thing! :D

I am awake and can not sleep, i have been up sooo many times in the night for a pee, i feel zonked. Had a few uncomfy braxton hicks last night but nothing else.

Hi Mildly, hope your little one makes an apperance soon and dosnt keep you waiting too much longer.

Cleo those pains sound really promising!!!

Clairey, Mrs Jay and everyone else how you feeling???

im still here  Naughty lil boy still hasnt engaged yet :shakehead:. Midwife has told me to crawl up the stairs on all fours to get him in a better position

I had a really bad nights sleep, getting painful BH but not very regular, getting up for a wee every hour and just generally uncomfy.
Had period type aches in my lower back yesterday but they just disapeared after a bath.
I got my head around baby being here this week as I was meant to be getting induced this week as I developed OC but because the medication has kept my bile acids down my consultant is happy to leave me :(

Hello

Nothing much to report here. Been feeling pretty low for the past few days, all tired and emotional - I'm so ready to do this! :wall: I could potentially have another 5 weeks or so until the baby gets here, and the thought of that is doing my head in a bit, cos I'm not sure I can wait that long! :( My friend who's due date is 3 days before mine is scheduled to have a C-Section on Thursday which also makes me feel a bit 'meh'. I'm pleased for her, but the green eyed monster is kicking in... :shhh:

So on to sympton spotting....well, nothing much. OH and I, ahem, got jiggy this morning and I had some mild period like pains afterwards but they've pretty much gone away now. Other than that, zilch!

Mrs_Jay:  Oh the visions!

prickleyfairy: I feel your pain hun, I got up 4 times last night :wall: I would love a decent sleep!

Hi all

Clairey, I get a feeling you'll pop early hun  Hope you are feeling a bit better today though

kerrymac, sounds like your body is getting ready :D

Clare I was wondering where you'd got to. Lol get crawling up those stairs girl :D

Prickleyfairy, constant weeing is a good sign :D Hope you manage to get some rest though

Kerry hope the consultant appointment goes well today :)

My Mum rang earlier to ask when this damn baby was going to arrive  But then told me she was getting fed up of people ringing her to ask whether I'd had it, which made me laugh. I know this is mean but I hope it is pissing her off as much as it is pissing me off

Pains-wise still the same as normal, back, pelvic, period and stabby but nothing regular yet. I am starting to think that this is going all the way to induction :( And then thought I'd better read up about induction just to see what it is all about. Everything that I've read has made me not want the pessaries, gel or drip which makes me think I'm going to be pregnant forever! I'm starting to wish that I'd added a month onto my due date so that the pressure would be off now.

Anyway, good luck to everyone else. Let us carry on the trend of tri 3 babies popping left, right and centre :cheer:

seen the consultant... he reckons baby isnt engaged yet :? why do people never say the same thing? after all its only a day between appoointments! Maybe all the walking i did yesterday around town changed things as consultant appointment was 1st thing this morning so had been asleep & not moving for hours before i saw him. he also said baby was lying "slightly" towards back (oh the joy)... when i moaned about i didnt want it to turn back to back he told me to stop reading books & that babies can turn at anytime, it doesnt make a difference!!! Spot the man who hasnt given birth! :o Hes also made me ache SO much as well as he pushes really hard on belly, much harder than the midwives... :(
So after thinking yesterday i might meet baby soon.... today im back to thinking ill be joining the queue of people that are going overdue as he was talking about "next time we meet", my appointment with him isnt until term+ :(
Oh well.

Aww kerry, dont be too disheartened. im sure it will happen for you soon, and baby could engage again anytime. (or he could have got it wrong) fingerscrossed for you hun.

Mildy - I hope things start moving for you soon .

im getting a few more period type pains and pelvic pressure, but nothing regular.

COME ON BABIES :cheer:

Cleo100: it really sounds like things will be happening for you soon! :cheer:

And hee hee, Mrs_Jay, I hope you've been crawling up and down the stairs all day!

Claireyfairey: it's hard when everyone's queue jumping and you're desperately ready to hold your baby in your arms - I hope it's some comfort that you've got us here to wait with!

Mildly: I wrote on your other thread about induction - it sounds like we're thinking the same things. If only I could be 100% sure it's safe and LO will arrive one day (I no longer believe people when they say you can't be pregnant forever!) then I'd be wanting to avoid all the induction options too. No idea what I'll decide to do, good luck with making your mind up too

Kerryp... sounds like a frustrating appointment, I'm sorry. It's horrible when doctors are so dismissive when we're going through something so life-changing. Baby can engage right before birth though so hopefully you won't have to wait too long

Hope you all sleep well tonight! And if one of you could manage to go into labour too then so much the better...

Looks like im first one up  i dont seem to be able to sleep past 6 atm, my back keeps suddenly playing up in the middle of the night :(. i was getting a few period crampy type pains last night and thought ooo maybe this is it, but it didnt turn into anything. Im seriously starting to get fed up of people telling me its "not long now" though. Do they think i dont know that? Though i have no right to complain really some of you are further than me . hows everyone else feeling today?

Mrs Jay - ~i know how you feel, everyone keeps saying that to me too, it gets so frustrating, esp since ~i was a bit early with my daughter, everyone expeted me to be early this time round, it gets me mad!!

I actually had a really good nights sleep last night for the first time in weeks, I only got up for the loo twice. Is it the calm before the storm?

I cant stop cleaning today, I have even washed my Living room Curtains and hung them back up already, also been moving furniture, i just cant help myself :o so I am nesting away!! hope its a sign that things are moving!!

Hope everyone else is ok today?

I only went to sleep at 4am this morning, my sleeping patterns are completely ruined now

Clare, that must be frustrating, people always assume that second babies come sooner and it isn't always the case

kerrymac, if you run out of nesting, my curtains could do with a wash ;)

Nothing really to report from me same old pains which is just getting boring now. Hope everyone else is doing ok

Mrs_Jay: I was up at 6am too :wall: And 2am, 4am and 8am :wall: I keep getting helpful comments like 'not long now!' and 'haven't you had that baby yet?!' :x Don't people realise how annoying it is? I already feel like this baby is never going to come out, I don't need some smart alec telling me what I already know! Grrr...can you tell I didn't get much sleep last night?

taika:  It certainly is a comfort to know I'm not the only frustrated lady round these parts! :D

kerryp:  What an idiot...don't let him get you down. Your baby will be here soon and none of this will matter anymore (I hope ;) )

Mildly: I hope you're right babe! My mum went into labour with me at 38 weeks so I'm really hoping I take after her. I'm so bloody impatient

As for symptons, nothing out of the ordinary sadly. I was crampy all day yesterday, and crampy this morning but it's all gone away after a nice warm bath and a good rub down in Bio Oil, ha! I thought I was going to nod off in the bath, it felt so warm and cosy. Why is it I can sleep during the day with no problem, but I can't get a decent sleep at night?!?!?! It's seriously escalated these last few days though, I've gone from getting up 1 - 2 times a night to 4 - 5 times  I'm so unbelievably tired. Oh well. Got an appointment with my MW tomorrow so am looking forward to that! At least it is something to be happy about :)

Hope you all get some promising signs soon girlies

PS: Oscar, you are being a little monkey - hurry up and get out of mummy's tummy please, we are all dying to meet you!

Things could be happening for you Clairey!!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok??

I hear ya on the peeing thing  Soooo annoying!

Where is everyone on this thread???

Nothing so far for me today. Baby has been quiet for the last few days though....she is moving just not very much. I hope she's saving her energy up for an early appearance...

I lost what I thought was some water last night but not sure if I just peed myself :rotfl:
