I keep getting once per day for 40 mins(at random times) small contractions about 10 mins apart.

Yesterday from 3pm until bed time my stomach was rock solid continuily

I had some pain last night in bed, not sure if it was contraction type pain or something else but it was like really bad period pain, not like what i've had before. Only thing is it happened straight after i'd rolled over in bed which made me think the rolling had caused it

Anyway she's doing exactly the same as she does every day, wriggling and pushing down on my cervix but not escaping!

But on a good note... im getting some pains already!!!!!!

Zobo- pains sound like a good thing- hopefully the sweep will work and you'll be meeting your Lo very soon. Did it hurt?

Hope it works zobo!! Did the midwife say how long things should take if it does??
Im getting to the point where I cant tell the difference between all these pains!
I get period type ones, pelvic ones, upset tummy ones!!
I told my mum this and she said she was the same when pregnant me!! She barely got to the hospital in time to have me cos she didnt realise it was actual labour

Sweeps should work in 24-48 hours. Mine was monday morning...so go figure...

Zobo, yours has a much higher chance of working than mine....so fingers crossed!

bhe101: I did not have hardly any symptoms before going in to labour with my son. No pains, goo....anything.....Only pains when labour began.

Having lots of sharp pains this morning. My body has been contracting on so many levels since last week, that my body now feels very sore It is now getting a little too much for me. But, I did turn down my induction, so I simply need to suffer it

I REALLY REALLY want her out before the weekend, i just feel a bit like i'm not mentally prepared for another week of waiting (i have no patience lol), but i'm not getting any signs, i cant even reach my cervix which makes me think i'm gonna be here a while yet, plus i've now got thrush need to sort that before she comes out, and i generally feel pretty crapy, my tongue bars are irritated and my general "glow" has been replaced by an overall grey look lol

Plus i want her out so i can take hayfever stuff!! If i'm not sneezing away and sniffling i'm resisting the urge to scratch my eyes out cos they're so itchy!!

I totally understand! I think I was able to walk through my SPD a lot more last time. I walked everywhere. Tyler was born on my LMP due date....just like I was

asd123456 - it didnt hurt, it just felt really uncomfortable and weird!!!
but literally over with in a few seconds!!

oh yeh... my mum said almost the same thing, she said she noticed i was stretching a lot... and when she told midwife, the midwife had a look and my head was showing!!!! hahaha she didnt even have time for pain releif after that coz it happended so quickly!

Fuffins... feel sorry fo ryou having pains all this time, hope it happens for you too very soon!!

PS: has anyone heard from Maldives.... she went in to be induced last tuesday.... not heard a peep since????????????????

still not much happening for me. Last Thursday I had serious tightenings but nothing really apart from pressure, a few stabbing pains, oh and some strange fluttering sensations

Had quite a lot of period type pains yesterday and was woken twice throught the night with them. This morning, NOTHING!!!!
I also have really bad piles, it hurts to sit down

Back hurts, pelvis hurts, stomach hurts....I did not sleep all night. Then conked out of exhaustion fter 7. Popped on here, went to lie down and passed out

I just need this to end. My stomach is sooo uncomfortable!

Maybe your body is preparing for labour??

Oh god i bloody hope so!! I made Dave search for my cervix again last night and he put this face on and went "thats not her head is it?", i'm pretty sure it wasnt but for a second i almost got excited lol!!

If she decides to stay in over the weekend i should get a sweep on monday, i think by then i'll be begging them for it even if they're not sure.

He wasnt sure , i've shown him pics etc so he knows what he's looking for but its difficult to be certain, he thought he reached it but wasnt 100% sure, i cant reach myself anymore it's too akward and although my mum is trained at doing sweeps we both no theres no way id ask her to (its just too wierd lol)

MW atenatal felt bubs head when she done a sweep on monday. Baby was 3/5 engaged. So, maybe dave did feel bubs head
