Hi hopeful and welcome to PF. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

If you are in the 2WW then you are not alone, most of us are in it at the moment including me. It is a stressful time waiting for testing day and hoping that the witch wont show!

As you are new to TTC my advice would keep it quite relaxed for a couple of months and then perhaps get an OPK so that you can find out when you are ovulating. TTC can get quite bonkers and the more you can stay relaxed the better.

The average time they say it takes to conceive is 7 to 12 months so if it doesnt happen straight away dont get too upset.

I get my pains a couple of days before my surge, so about 3 days before OV.

I always thought i got pains on OV but my OPKs revealed otherwise

Thank you everyone, only my first post and already I am feeling so much better!

I don't want to go into TMD but on boxing day morning I had a large amount of thick, stretchy mucussy type stuff on my toilet roll when I wiped (Ok i did go into a lot of detail..sorry!!)

Anyone know what this means??

Sounds to me like ewcm (egg white cervical mucus) which is a sign of ovulation...sounds like a good sign x PS there's no such thing as tmi on here lol.xxx

I think it means OV is coming, not that you've mised it

I get EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) on cd 12 and i don't OV until cd 16.
