i never expected it to feel like this cos before today i was counting down to my due date and preparing to be a mum now i'm in no man's land just waiting its an odd feeling knowing i was meant to be a mum yesterday

I honestly feel i could just go at any moment. When i stand the pressure on my cervix and in my bum is unbelievable, i don't know why my body just won't give in....i keep worrying that there's something wrong with my cervix and it wont open. Then i start worrying that my LO is trying his best to get out but he's stuck!!!
...i don't know what to think anymore, i thought i would go into labour early at about 37 weeks now i just don't have a clue. Ive almost got to the point where i don't feel it's ever going to happen, i can bare to look at his little clothes and things cos i get really upset that he's not here yet.

yeah i thought i'd go early but in fairness since day one of finding out i said i'd have him on the 23rd so i still have time to be right.

i was so ready on tuesday night when all the pains started to have him that i'm really disappointed it didn't. its definately an emotional rollercoaster wanting pain and being scared at the same time and with every movement getting yourself in the right frame of mind to give birth to be let down

afternoon everyone

My OH is self employed too, he teaches martial arts classes so he really can't take any time off after the birth. He's hoping I'll go in to labour on a Sunday night as this is the 'only time that's convenient' . He's around a lot during the day tho so hopefully we won't be too bad. I didn't realise there would be so many people in the same situation as us. He is very sweet tho & does a good job of looking after me .

I had such a sore back yesterday & crampy feelings all afternoon. Plus I kept feeling like I needed to go to the toilet. Was starting to wonder if a sign of early labour, but I'm completely fine today. Had MW today, LO is fully engaged so maybe that was what I was feeling. I've to go back on my due date & I might get a sweep. She needs to check with the hospital because I've had bleeding in the past.

to all the people who are overdue. Hope your LOs make an appearance soon.

Hi all! My hubby is self employed too but has 2 partners (one is his brother) so it is easier 4 him to take time off. It's my due date today and he has decided to take tomorrow off as he's getting worried and wants to look after me. Aaaaaaah! He is also taking 2 weeks paternity leave so he can help me with the other 2 children. He's a sweetie!

Afternoon all

Still no signs that baby is gonna make an appearance soon.

I have tried all the usual things pineapple, curry, bouncing, even a walk but now have got swollen ankles!!!

Is anyone else getting lots of text messages/phone calls asking if you have had the baby?? How annoying is that!!!

oh yeah and everyone seems to be texting me before 9 in a morning when i'm trying to rest to have this baby.

people keep emailing me texting posting on facebook etc asking if he's here, like i'm gonna keep it a secret from them if i have him

had 3 hours of contractions last night from 9-12am then it all stopped


Ive been loosing my plug since yesturday so hopfully it signs things are comming along well soon ..

no sign of mine i've got some pain just did an hour walk round asda hope it works

No signs for me just lovely swollen feet, pains in pelvis/hips so having to wear mules if I go out which draws attention to myself and I fell like shouting "yes I am about to drop" as I know that is what they are thinking as I walk passed in the shops!

Went to lunch with a friend who is due 3 days before me and the looks we were getting its like "Yes we are both pregnant" & "Yes we are very close" & "Yes we are fed up now"

I have been told tonic water is another one to try - personally cant stand the stuff but have a feeling I will be giving anything a go next week! Going out for a curry Saturday night just me and DH decided it might be the last time we get to go out together

I had really bad back ache & period type pains last night & now tonight they're back at the exact same time. Sure its not labour as its way too soon for me, and I've had no other signs. But I'm hoping my body is getting ready.

First time I've ever been quite happy to be in pain

Even tho I'm having pains I still think I have a good couple of weeks ahead. Baby is moving tons & I think he's quite happy where he is. First babies are normally late, so I'm going with that.

I feel like im ready to burst!

just had a warm bath and ate two big trays of pineapple. I wish i could just get on with my life from day to day and let it happen but all i ever seem to do is spend my days trying to get labour started (or thinking about it!)... or looking for signs

....im becoming obsessed!!!!!

Im same as talulah, although i have noticed in the last couple of days baby is very quiet compared to normal, still got 10 movements but not as active as normal, is that normal??
