Never mind teenage - how about child pregnany?

I do feel sorry for the poor girl obviously, but what about that poor baby? Surely a child cannot look after a baby?

It's a horrible situation all round :(

Apparently her parents are proud of her for going through with it arent they? Im not saying she should have had an abortion..she mustve have considered it and had a good reason not to go through with it?? :? :?

Manda, i AM glad ive got a boy and im secretely hoping for a lad this time.. i dont think id let my daughter out until shes 21 the way things are going lol

Ok, I bet people are thinking im such a hypocrit being 17 and pregnant on number 2 but hey :? I wasnt having sex at 11 or drinking at 11..

if she manages to bring this child up and make a good job of it for the childs sake then good on her but her life hasnt even started yet when her friends are going cinema or whatever surely shes gonna blame the child for not being able to do the things her friends are

because for some reason you have 'committed a crime' by having a child before 28 (not meaning specific age, but that seems to be 'acceptable' where I live).

where im from its wierd for a girl to not have a baby by 18 lol

the joys of living in a down and out area

Absolutely no sympathy for the girl, 11year olds should NOT be having sex.

That is why I feel so sorry for her. I do feel as a society we need to start looking at why a young girl feels the need to have sex at such a young age. Dionne I live in a similar area to you I think. I always joke that people must think I am Seren's gran.

I think its disgusting wouldnt a 11 year old JUST be starting secondary school?? and i think the 35 year old fathers a sickhead and should be shot :D and for the note i didnt have pubes either at the age of 11

at eleven i didnt even know wot sex was lol  my cousin is 12 and i can not imagine her having a baby! by the time the mum is leaving skool the baby will be starting skool!!
and 35 he needds shooting pervert (spl)

I've had a 'talk' with Daniel - quite a few girls and boys in his year are having sex (year 8), and they're out drinking down back alleys at weekends. I've always worried about him being anti-social (quiet anti-social not ASBO anti-social), but now I'm glad. he stays sensible

Mind if I add my opinion here? :D

I just read the article in the Scotsman newspaper about the 11 year old. Quite honestly... I'm horrified!! And the only thing that troubles me, is wondering what kind of life this baby will have!
She doesn't sound fit to look after herself, nevermind a baby!

Just terrible.... it breaks my heart! What future does this bunny have? The chances of anything good is nearly impossible, considering the domestic set up.
Personally, I think she should have had an abortion and spent her pocket money on Yugiho cards!!! :(

I agree with you Emilia, to an extent...

I agree that this poor baby will probably have a rubbish upbringing (how on earth can a child look after a child??) but I do not believe an abortion would be the answer. That baby is a human being and never asked to be created.

It would be horrible to have to take the baby from her (horrible for the mother that is) because at the end of the day, it is her baby, her flesh and blood.

So it's a bit of a lose lose situation all round :(

Sami and Emilia all I can say is I agree with you both 100 percent. And I think the mum of the future young mum should have a slap for saying she is proud.

I am so proud my 11 year old, smokes, drinks and has sex. You are not telling me this guy was her first either so I have no sympathy.

Luckily, I think the girls mother will be on hand to help, but that doesn't say a lot as shes already brought up one that's 'up the duff' at 11 (sorry for the expression).

Headlines to come - worlds youngest great great grandmother at 33

my mum was horrified enough to be a nan at 42 lol

i can remember on the last day at primary skool seeing people in my year snogging and thinking how bad it was lol let alone people at that age having sex

Kim... I agree with you. Abortion isn't neccessarily the answer, but where do we find the solutions? The government is constantly blamed for not doing enough about Sex Education.... nonsense!!
It's about time that parents took control of their kids... instead the kids are telling the parents what to do!

It's sods law, that the people that would really love, adore and provide for a baby, has to struggle, yet the ones that can't be arsed, has one every other day without a care in the world for it! Not fair!!!

The baby might deserve a life, but a wonderful life it should be.
If abortion isn't an option, have baby adopted! And hopfully next time - she'll discover what a condom looks like.
Watch this space - I bet you in less than a year, number 2 will be on the way!

all this makes me glad i have a lad i wont be worrying so much but if i had a daughter she wouldnt even know what sex was at 11 and would not be on a 'night out' for gods sake its awful the mother needs a good slap and told to raise her kids better and what hope for the future has that baby got the girl will be a granny by 22!!!! i think the girl was quoted saying i can raise my baby (until the reality sets in!!) its bloody hard work when your an adult doing let alone a child isnt the legal age for leaving your kids alone 13 or something at that rate her mum will have to be with her constantly.

What anoys me is the comments that were made too, smoking hasn;t made me feel bad during pregnancy so i've carried on WTF about the poor baby and where's this girls mum?

Also it reallt annoys me that i've done everything right, not slept around, looked after myself etc etc and i had a really bad pregnancy and birth oh and had a miscarriage, not that i would wish it on anyone but then you have prople who don't take care of themselves and everything goes straightforward for them, when i had my miscarriage i was outside on the phone to my mum (i was in hospital) and there were pregnant women stood around the door smoking  like i said wouldn't wish it on anyone but it grips my s#!t, anyone thats had bad pregnancy and birth will agree with me there i think.

This girl probably will never work and have about 10 kids so she can get money off us tax payers grrrrrrrrr ok thats a bit harsh but probably right.

Rant over :?

I totally sympathise with what you are saying Manda. OH and I have a really healthy lifestyle. We've done everything right, we eat healthy home cooked food, don't smoke, drink in moderation, excercise regularly and yet we can't have children naturally.

There's nothing more galling than this kind of situation for us. I can guarantee that I would be 100 times a better mother than that child, yet she gets the chance and I don't! Where the hell is the justice in this world?!

and the council house when she's older

TBH i am really scared of bringing my child up in such a soceity....im scared of sending them to school...cause if you are clever...and sensible you seem to get bullied for it these days!!!! i know there is good schools out there..but they are slowly deteriorating..every single one of them..mums are getting younger...11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS!!! Murder rates are increasing, in fact this whole country is just going down hill...and as the country is getting worse..we are made to pay tax on every thing while they pretend its making it better!!!! oh of course give my tax to an 11 year old kid cause she had a baby!! im sure her mom is f**king proud of her daughter cause she will get the friggin benefits that why!!!! i have nothing against people who get benefits to help with their children...i know how expensive nurseries are and how expensive children are..hell i could probly do with some help but i wont get any cause of alans wage even though that comes in and goes straight out to pay bills and old loans!! do they look at that??? nope!!! besides the benefits wont be spent on that baby..they will probly put it in the cheapest clothes they can get so they can save money for themselves so the 11 year old can go out clubbing with her mom!!!!!!!!

Im sorry but it just pisses me off...and its not the 11 y/o that has done most wrong..its the mother for letting her grow up that way!!!!!!!!!

The main reason this world is getting so bad is that the criminals always get away with it. Perhaps if they were actually punished for their crimes, they and others might just think twice... :?
