My update thread

Figure after my rant I might as well do an update lol. Still loosing lots and lots of plug. Since waking up this morning Ive had a constant cramp at the top of my pubic bone, which is just annoying me now. Had yet another loose bm. This is all sounding very attractive isnt it lol. Had a little cry earlier cause Im feeling well and truly fed up now, but I think thats because its a sunday. Last sunday was a down day as well...must be something I dont like about this day lol.

I then snapped myself out of the silly crying (it solves nothing) and decided to tidy my room and do the hoovering. And now Im going to sort out all my clothes. Ive realised I have no clothes for once the babies arrived so Im having a massive clearout and then in about 2 1/2 weeks going on a bit of a shopping spree. Oh its going to be good. Me and baby on a little outing (got to get her into shopping while shes young ya see)

I honestly have given up thinking its starting to happen. BUT one thing that is keeping me going, is that my body obviously wants to try do something, so Im hoping this will make induction easier and not as drawn out as inductions are so commonly known for

Have you done the nipple stimulation? I have heard it can get things rocking!

I have....but got outrageously bored lol. I havnt tried much to be honest, occasionally bouncing on my ball is the only thing really. Oh and lots and lots of walking. Ive always had the frame of mind of baby will come when their ready....well...I think thats a rubbish theory now. Maybe babys just damn stubborn lol.

Apparently though hot flushes are a good sign So your body may well be getting ready. Cant believe Im almost 11 days overdue...its laughable really!

Once again, Im getting pissed off with peoples comments. My sister is like 'well if the average baby is around 8lb.....yours is going to be at least 8 and a half'...errr...no! My dates could be wrong, she might just be small...its hit and miss. Dont tell someone peed off with being so overdue that theyre now going to have a giant baby flying out their foof...how would that help?!

Funnily enough as they say our baby is a little on the larger side I was panicking at hospital other day if I went over due and MW said that babies stop growing past your due date as the placenta is only designed to last 9 months so not to worry

Ooo really? Thats given me some hope. Im so worried about having a massive baby, but most people say by looking at my bump, they dont think she'll be TOO big. When I feel her swishing around she doesnt feel massive...if that makes sense???

Apparently so Well ours keeps switching sides (still head down though ) One day his/her back will be down my right side, the next down my left and then back again! lol! I don't think ours will be huge - about 8lb will do me nicely thank you very much! lol!

Thats so rubbish about the care youve had. Giving you a chemical indiction before trying a sweep is not acceptable just because of staffing issues. If there was a clinical reason for it then fair enough, but to hear its cos of staffing must make you so frustrated!!!

I had a good old cry this afternoon too. Must be something about sundays....

I think its deffiantly a sunday thing. Theyre just so boring and long that it reminds me how long We've all waited to get to this point. The rest of the days always fly by!

So...the end of day 11 of being overdue. I say it to myself and cant help but think how rediculous it is! lol. Shes so lazy! But, like someone pointed out on another forum, Id much rather be waaaay overdue than have a premature baby My little girls coming to come out so cooked you wont even believe Im feeling more like labour may start soon, but still not getting my hopes up. Its getting difficult to sit down now. I get stabbing pains in my cervix whenever I sit or stand, so Im currently standing/sitting in differnt places around my lounge lol, my parents think Im odd.

I think tomorrow will be spent making sure everything is ready. Maybe a few last minute things that need to get done. Then tuesday will be a pamper mel day

Btw, thank you everyone for being so supportive. I think if I couldnt rant on here then Id be bald by now with stress lol!

I really think babe will come naturally as you will go the whole 14 days - when i went in for induction with first at 16 days over, after loosing plug a week before, i was two centermetres dillated when i got there although not contracting. They said they would leave me till morning (this was early evening) and two hours later were ringing OH to come back cos i was 5 cms. Really hope it works for you, like you say body is sorting things for you and it really shouldn't be too much longer xx

See I was almost 2cm on tuesday...and Ive been having contractions for the past 4 days lol. *sigh* The plug really is gross and Im honestly baffled by how much fo the stuff there is!!

surely every contraction youve had has helped you to dilate more Im looking forward to the next time you get seen cos I want a progress update!! Lets hope youre really dialted and just handling labour really well!!

The midwife is being called in an hour or so Then commences the begging lol. I actually found a leaflet about induction at my hospital last night! So at least I know whats going to happen now lol. Not going to tell the midwife that on the phone though. Just going to say I know nothing and want some info (and a sweep of course).

Good luck with yhe midwife! I always find it's easier yo be more assertive on the phone!!
