Metformin

Hi all im new to the forum, just been diagnosed PCOS and been prescribed metformin......anyone else here taking this? How are you getting on with it? Any successes?

Hello and Welcome.

I've been diagnosed with PCOS since I was 12. I was prescribed Metformin at first but I stopped taking it as it gave me a really bad upset tummy .

But anyhow i'm now on the Slow Release (SR) Metformin which isn't as bad. It does obviously give you an upset tummy if you eat crap constantly like chinese, crisps, macdonals, kfc, kebabs...

It's good for getting your hormones balanced (mainly why they give it you). I started this in October and just started getting regular cycles now.
