****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

Mayflower, phew!!! Glad everything ok!

Jessie, what's up?

Well, after a bit of DIY over the weekend, I feel like I've had two minutes sleep. Was asleep at 9 last night but had shitty dreams, so feel absolutely knackered now. Not good!

Really glad you are OK Mayflower.

Hope all OK with you and baby Jessiecat, let us know how you get on.

Hope all the other May mummies are ok, and no other little ones are causing worry xx

Hope you're OK Bigbee. I think horrible dreams are also part of pregnancy, I had a horrible one a few nights ago and even woke my other half up, who reminded me its just that, just a dream and nothing to worry about xx

Oh glad everything is okay Mayflower!!

Jessie hope you're doing okay?

HUgs for the bad dreams, not a nice part of pregnancy, i have such vivd dreams

I'm suffering badly today with heartburn/nausea urg

Thanks girls. It was nothing major...not quite nightmares, but just unsettling so I feel like I've not actually slept. Weird.

Anyway, how's everyone getting on with the Monday morning?

What are everybody's plans for this week?

My OH has his last exam tomorrow, so planning to chill with him tomorrow night. Then a couple of evenings of working out and then the weekend!!! Oh 24 weeks on Thursday, and my MW appointment is then too. Hopefully will listen to baby heartbeat, and I think my bump will get measured then too.

We've been to baby and toddler group this morning and had Blake weighed at clinic. He's going to have a nice long nap soon and I'm going to get the crochet out and put my feet up! I'm at work this evening and will struggle through as I've got another cold! Nothing much planned for the week though. No spare cash!

I need to make my 25 week MW appointment, I'd better give them a ring later x

My week will mainly consist of baking(as per) and sorting and packing, ahhhh so much cba for that haha!!

My week is pretty much work, I work Monday to Friday 9-5 (sometimes overtime), although I am off today. Gym and swim most days after work (although at the mo, gym is just fast walking on the treadmill), tomorrow night I have 2 hours of pregnancy yoga which I am really enjoying (through NCT). January pay day seems to be taking for ever to arrive after early pay in December.

My skin feels too tight for my fingers today, they look a little swollen I think - not massively but don't think they look like this normally. Is this normal? Off to google it now, but thought you lovely ladies might know?

Hope midwife appointment goes well Bigbee, I have mine next Monday.

xx

I've decided to take the rest of the day off, so I am going to tidy up a bit and then chill.

I've got a tour of the labour and delivery ward tomorrow evening (even though I saw some of it this morning!) and on Friday I have a consultant appt in the morning and a GP appt in the aftenoon. The rest of the week is pretty quiet apart from work as normal.

Glad all is okay mayflower! Hope everything is okay with jessiecat. I feel unsettled today but no idea why. Babies been having a mad dance this morning. Xxx

Blueeyes how do you find such classes, im in such a small village its hard to find anything on pregnancy related!!

My weeks mostl taken up with work 8-4 at least each day. Swim after work on a couple of days otherwise a walk and on a tuesday i'm really lucky as do have a pregnancy yoga class that I'm going too. Took some googling to find but glad i did as really enjoy it.

I'm not liking this 5 day week thing, as i had so much leave towards the end of last year i was having loads of time off so I'm just not getting bac into the swing of things! Between now and may I have lots of random weeks off though so i ca't complain.

Decison of today is do we attempt to take the wallpaper off the ceiling in what will be the nursery? or do we just stick back up the little bit that has come off and get painters just to paint over it ?!?! Worried that if we try taking it off we might then need to pay to get the ceiling skimed. But hey if that's my only concern this week i'll be a happy bunny!

Buttonbear I found it through this page http://www.nct.org.uk/courses

Mayflower, were you offered the tour of the maternity ward? Or did you have to request it? I would really like a tour as our nearest hospital doesn't have a maternity ward, and I am currently torn between the next two nearest.

xx

I was looking up info about birth choices in our area and the hospital online, and there was a bit about the tours and a number to call to book it. The midwife hadn't mentioned it, it was just curiosity getting the better of me again.

Ahhh thanks, boo thought there is nothing even remotely close to me :(

Going to google and see if i can find something!

After bursting into tears at a mw app we came up with a plan to calm me and included in that she said she'd arrange for s tour. They use to do it as standard but stopped due to various reasons including privacy and security!

Is anyone else considering a home birth or is that just crazy me? haha

I gave birth in the Midwife lef birthing unit and it was lovely, unclinical and all ensuite facilities and your hubbys can stay rather than leaving you like on wards! :)

Button, I'm going into the hospital... If everything is fine with pregnancy then I'll opt for the MW led unit. Home birth is not for me, as I need to see lots of people in uniform to feel safe.

Elliot, although this might be your only worry this week, it's a bleeping big decision! Decorating is pretty stressful! Good luck. Depends whether you can afford all the extra work :)

Also, I did a few pregnancy yoga classes. Sooooo dull!!!! They've stopped them at the yoga studio where I used to go, but I think I'm going to try to find another class. Might be really useful as the weeks keep rolling in and I get bigger!!!

I get 2 mws, 1 from the hosp and my local one on call I would freak doing it just with OH haha Thats all I had in the mw led unit you dont see Drs or such unless something is wrong. If anything at Mw led you see more of your mw than in the ward/hosp as its more 1 on 1 same with at home.

Not trying to change your mind don't worry I didnt want one with my first hehe
