we have had Olivia since the beginning and strangely could never come up with a boys name that sounded right.

We had our girls name from the start and couldn't agree on a boys name!

Our girl name is Ulyana (after my great grandmother). I think we have agreed on it now.

Haven't decided on the boy name. I like Matvey and OH liked Nikolai, until he decided it sounds like "Nicola". Ideally I would've liked to call the baby after someone in my family, eg. my grandad is Vladimir (no chance, as it's a bit too Putin!), or my great grandfather, who is Grigorii (sounds too Greek)... So basically we are not sure!

Neither will have a middle name....

Pretty certain she will be Darcie Grace, but we also have Luna, Matilda and Eden as back ups... Grace will be middle name for sure.

We are keeping it secret until the birth

I think we have our names now, I'm just struggling for a middle name if it's a boy. My son has got 'David' as a middle name after my brother. So we agreed this baby will have a middle name that relates to OH's family. If it's a girl it will be 'Bethany or Beth' after his sister, but if it's a boy we are stuck! OH doesn't have any brothers and doesn't have much to do with his dad after he walked out and emigrated when he was a young boy. He has a step family but I don't think it's appropriate to use one of their names. The rest of his family on his mums side are quite distant and we rarely see them, so I'm not a fan on having baby named after one of them!

I'm stuck. We could use another name from my side as I have another brother, my dad, a close uncle etc, but it doesn't seem fair?

I might repost this in the baby names section to see if anyone has any ideas.

Carter ******??

My cousin used 2 names from her side as Middle names as there are no men on her OHs side - so made sense. I see nothing wrong with it.

I have so many names on my list but need to know sex so I can really think about it and actually decide whether I like them enough to say them forever.

Ahhh thanks my love We had florence on the list too but there's a girl in my sons class called that so decided against it.

We do LOVE Luna but worry about Harry Potter references lol (i however love HP haha)

Yes mine seems to change on a daily basis lol. I think it depends on how much I've had to eat and drink, as well as what position baby has got herself into.

I've also noticed (from using the Doppler) that she's moved right up to my belly button now, whereas before she was really low down.

Well, I woke up this morning and just thought my bump was looking really small!! I had some pains/cramps in the night, quite painful but not enough to fully wake me up. And then ta da!!! Different shape bump.

Also, when I had my 20 week scan, I was told that the baby was laying on the left, head down. But yesterday the kicking was around the right side of my belly... And this morning I felt a couple of kicks right at the top.... Crazy!

Bit late on the names post, but here goes.

First name definitely decided = Ania (said Anya)

Middle name 99% decided = Helena.

I know that's first and middle name both ending with 'a' but people hardly ever say your middle name, usually just mums when you have been naughty. OH is Polish and a lot of the girls names end with 'a' anyway and my name is Helen and OH would like baby to have the same middle name as me. We wanted a name that we both like, but also that is the same in both languages (if that makes sense), so both sets of families don't struggle with pronouncing xx

My best mate is Anya although she spells it Anja, just to be different! It's short for Anna where I come from, I think the same in Poland?

Helena is a pretty name too my mam is Yelena...so pretty similar
