****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

I am hoping to start my mat leave at 38 weeks which would the 5th May, but take any annual leave before that. I am not sure how much I'll have left though.

I am planning to take a few babygrows and vests to the hospital, and baby will come home in one of those with a cardi and/or blanket depending on the weather. I am not buying a special outfit.

also can i add ladies when taking clothes for baby to the hospital take a couple of sizes, i thought my little boy was going to be a 6lb baby as my bump was so small and everyone was convinced he was going to be a small baby, so i took tiny baby clothes ad newborn to hospital with 1 0-3 sleepsuit, he was born 8lb 15 1/2oz and only fit in the 0-3 set id bought, thankfully i was discharged the same day and we had no accidents like peeing on clothes until we were home lol!xxx

Haha yeah I had just baby grows n vests n socks as well as a pram suit on my son he was born in july but I live in Northern Ireland so the weather's always shit here haha... although may is always quite good lol ...

I will probably just have a few vests ans baby grows and a blanket lol not that I need to have one of each outfit because we dnt know the sex of the baby. ..

Will do may flower when its further completed lol I'm not excellent at it by all means but I'm trying haha!

Re clothes we will have a certain babygro that she will come home in(will.have one of each size incase) and just a cardi and blanket mittens etc :)

I had my son when it was freezing and he wore the same type thing's and was fine you're just going straight into car then into house.

I'm taking the same outfit Henry had to come home in but also a backup incase it's too warm for Henry's outfit. He was a March baby so it'll be weather dependent x

Most likely bring baby home in a special outfit but won't be anything majorly warm. Only 2 layers and a blanket most likely. I found that the newborn fitted ollie until he was around 10/11lbs.

I seriously have no idea about maternity leave. I'd ideally like to go as far as possible but because it's lifting and walking up stairs with shopping etc I don't know what will be possible as I get bigger. I'm on 4 weekly reviews. I definitely want to get to april and then take my annual leave of 4 weeks. So thinking 31 weeks and then take 4 weeks leave so maternity starts at 35 weeks. :)

Then might take the full year out but all depends on money :) I only work weekend evenings so it's not a massive thing if I go back early it's just nice to have that extra pocket money :)

Ps - I'm half way!

Bargain! Just bagged a free chest of drawers that match Henry's for freckle :) couple of chips on the veneer but I can cope with that! They're £85 new!!

Just moved Henry's bed slightly & it'll fit along the wall his bed is on instead of over his chimney breast that means it would stick out into his floor space. Moving his bed 15cm down the wall saves a 50x123cm chunk out of the floor!

Very happy mummy as it means I can now put away freckle's clothes :yay:

Oh wow that is a bargain!!

Im very much for upcycling and shabby chic so i love rooting for bargains with the MIL hehe :)

Nice! I just picked up a gliding nursing chair and footstool for £50. It's £199 in John Lewis. Very pleased!

Back from scan, the woman was very confident and said immediately that we have a little girl :) which confirms what the previous scan said but she said she was as certain as she ever could be so I'm feeling more confident. (I was happy with either but having decided to find out I wanted to feel relatively confident.

Would recommend the just gender scans with babybond, really friendly, talked through everything and could see her kicking and waving and even swallowing and opening her mouth! Pic below shows open mouth, cute or scary? I can't decide haha! Feeling so much better after some horrible dreams this week. Time to relax. X

Yeah. I'm wondering what piccies (if any) I'll get on Thursday. I know it's a heart scan but hoping they'll do me a couple of pics :) x

We went to my mum and dad's for dinner tonight, they gave us a present to unwrap. Inside a box was a receipt for the pram, dad had been in to the shop and paid off the rest of what we owed! Mum had also been sale shopping and picked up a few girlie outfits and a snow suit for next winter! I am feeling very emotional and overwhelmed this evening!

Ahh Mayflower that’s lovely. My mum has been knitting every evening after work this last week, and we have 3 little pretty cardigans for baby :-)

Hope you feel better soon Durham, must be really uncomfortable.

I don’t know what to do about maternity leave. I’m thinking to work as late as possible as I only get two months maternity pay, then just statutory pay. My boyfriend is on a 0 hour contract but has been lucky enough the last 3 years to have full time hours, but he’s just had them drastically cut. His salary paid for his uni (mature student) and my salary pays mortgage and to live. He has recently finished uni, so would have been in a better position however now his hours have been cut. He is looking for a new job but you never know how long that will take. I was thinking to work as long as possible because of money, but then friends who have had babies in the last year have all said leave around 36 weeks as you get shattered. Have to tell work what leave I am taking by the end of this month.

Great bargain Larlybelle

Ahh nice scan pictures Elliot and Larlybelle

Hope everyone's doing ok xx

Woke up at 2015 am for a wee and haven't been able to get back to sleep, so tired and alarm is set for 7am for work, only went to bed at 12, so not like I got much sleep before I woke even.

Buttonbear you'll have to post a picture of the blanket xx

I woke up at 4am for a wee, but it's soooooo windy and loud outside I've not been able to get back to sleep. Plus I can't get comfortable and i am very aware the alarm is going to go off at 5.45. So frustrating!
