How right do we think they usually are at a twenty week scan for gender? Obviously I know it's not the purpose of the scan at all, but at mine she asks if we wanted to know and she said it looked like a girl and couldn't see any joy bits, seemed to have a good view as well. So is that pretty certain? I'm not going to go pink crazy anyway but was just wondering if they're usually pretty right??

At my gender scan she said "going to say girl and i see no boy bits so far" just couldn't settle on that alone as she didn't see actual girl parts.

So it was nice at 20 week scan for her to say its definitely a girl here is her labia etc etc as she was on full.show. i feel better now

I was told at 15 week what they thought it was but I'm not happy with that. I'm waiting for the 20week scan (next Thursday!! Eek!) and I will probably have a 3d scan around 28 weeks

See now I'm thinking maybe it's not a girl button as she didn't say she could see girl bits, but the lady said she's looking all good at the end so I thought she wouldn't say that if she had any major doubts :s and she had a good look down there haha

Obviously my gender scan was correct there was no boy bits but my mind couldn't properly settle. I didn't buy any girls bits due to it, its harder with girls i guess but i saw clear as day her girlie bits this time

I keep getting period type pains, i know the sonographer said its normal but its still un-nerving!

Aww button I hope they don't get bad, it's never nice feeling uncomfortable no matter how much they say it's ok. Hope you can have a nice relaxed day and feel better.

I've just booked a gender scan lol I think I had a half hour melt down for no reason at all! £40 so not too pricey :s

Elliott, our sonographer said he was 90% sure she was a girl and then changed it to 99%. He didn't point out or show us her bits though.

So many people have doubted it since and said stuff like they'll "believe she's a girl when she's born" it's put a doubt in my mind! Even my best friend doesn't believe she's a girl.

I found a deal for a gender scan online for £35, so I booked it. I just need that second opinion! And I'd like to see for myself! I am not wanting to go pink crazy I just don't want any surprises when she's born.

I was told boy at my 12 week (sonographer said 60-70% sure). Then gender scan at 16 weeks confirmed boy & 22 week scan on Thursday did the triple check lol!

Thinking of booking a 4d scan but not sure. Hubby hates them!

Im having period type cramps today too buttonbear, what did your sonographer say it was. Its been worrying me today. It's more uncomfortable than painful so im just resting. It's not like my braxton hicks have been, I usually have no pain but tight tummy and the period pain is on the left hand side at the bottom by my hip. Feeling quite fed up today. I have a awful cold and have no energy. I have no interest in anything and just want to be on my own which is hard with a 3 year not sure what to do with myself xxx

Baby is 99.9% a girl, so I am happy!

It was sooooo much clearer than the NHS scans I've had, she's definitely a thumb sucker! We got a peak in 4D. She's still very small so it wasn't a very good view but has made OH want to book a 4D scan later on.
