Happy v day Tasha.

I woke up at 1am for a wee, and been wide awake last 20 mins with backache and hip/back of pelvis pain. Looks like another day of struggling to keep my eyes open at work tomorrow xx

I had a massive argument with my OH last night (very rare) and he ended up sleeping in the spare room. I've had an awful nights sleep and feel absolutely rubbish. I soooo don't want to go to work :(

Morning all

Mayflower- hope you get things sorted with OH xx

First day off week off, first thing to do is take pram back that was delivered on sat. We've not even opened it. Basically we rushed it and I didn't even think about the places I'll be going walking with it, going to try and go more multi terrain so any recommendations welcomed?!?!
X

Mayflower - don't worry, you will make up! :)

It is my birthday today, and I am in work...dealing with idiots all day. *sigh*

Happy birthday bigbee!! Hope the day goes quickly at work and you have nice evening plans x

Happy v-day to everyone that's reached it in the last couple of days!!

Happy birthday Bigbee!!

Apparently I missed me double figure countdown, I checked my app yesterday and I'm on 94 days to go already. Ooooops.

Today is results day for me. If I don't hear anything from clinic I can presume I'm clear of GD. Hoping and praying that I am. The auxiliary made a mess of my arm doing my blood sample and it's been painful since Thursday, it's starting to feel a bit more normal today. I've got my little girls 2 year review on Wednesday and then it's a week until my next midwife appt.

Hope everyone else is well and babies are doing fine xxx

Thanks ladies :)

Nat, that's terrible! How bruised!!!!

I know, and she only managed to get one sample out of that arm. I'm not a difficult bleeder. She'd already used the good vein in that arm (the smaller bruise of the two lol) and decided to use the same arm again and missed and started digging the needle round in there trying to pick the vein back up. Ended up using my other arm that bled straight away xxx

No it's usually if you're BMI is high and/or you have a family history. Your midwife would have mentioned it if she thought you needed it.

Mine's in a couple of weeks because of my BMI.

Happy birthday Bigbee my lovely :)

Ouch Nat i had the same majorly badly bruised arm but I am dreadful to get blood from especially as i hadn't drank much water either!

I only had the GTT as i had sugar in my urine at my 16 week check but i dont have GDD thank god!

Thanks button.

Yes, my MW said that they will do a diabetes test at my 28 week appointment. I guess, it's exactly what button said; just a sugar test. Mw told me not to have anything sweet in the morning of the test. I guess if the results come back high then I'll then be sent for a proper GTT test.
