****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

Gah to add to moving stress little man is really poorly he is currently in bed with a headache/temp bless him. I think maybe its the change etc of moving, hes very sensitive to things my poor bear cub :( so im just sat while he sleeps. :/

Just popping back to say hi :)

I've had a burst of energy the last few days. Got a lot done, including all the shopping for redecorating the hallway. LO kicking away and I have my GTT on Monday.

Hospital visit went well this morning. Was really lovely to know exactly where to park and where to go for starters. The maternity assistant was lovely and we saw an example room. It was a really big room, half had birthing pool, ball and mats etc!! Other half was bed and comfy seat for dad and then there was a bathroom with bath/shower etc too. Really peaceful. Feeling far more positive about things. X (still terrified but more positively haha)

Thanks for all your nice comments
Got to go back to the hospital on Wednesday to see how they will manage it.
Hope everyone has a good weekend

That sounds lovely Elliott, my hospital doesn't do tours, and I'm giving birth at a different one this time to last time. I hope it's as nice :good:

Hope you've all had nice Saturdays, work wasn't too bad for me, I was home at 2:30. A book I ordered for Blake arrived and I couldn't read the first verse without crying! it goes: "there's a house inside my mummy, where my little brother grows, or maybe it's my little sister, no-one really knows"

I'm looking forward to bedtime, but before that we're trying out a new local takeaway that sells Desserts!! I'm seriously struggling to decide what I want from the menu lol

The one we went to stopped tours a year or so ago so it was lovely for the midwife to offer us the chance, was amazed how un-medical it all seemed :)

never thought about what the hospital would be like or where we would have to go!! Praps I ought to ask my MW about this

I'd recommend asking, our stopped doing group tours for privacy and security issues. Me and OH both found it helpful though, OH especially just from a practical side of things.

Think some places offer tours later on, because of my concerns they suggested going for a look early

X

I had a tour of my hospital I gave birth at last time and I had the tour 2 days before I gave birth, not sure we get one at our new hospital. I've had a look at the virtual tour online and read reviews on netmums and all seem positive. Weirdly enough as my local hospitals maternity ward closed down in January ive been helping deep clean it today ready for the stroke department to move on tomorrow! It's like an empty shell at the moment and we were cleaning all the fixtures and fittings and scrubbing off the floors ready for all the new beds and equipment to go back in, such a shame really as was a really good unit, it's just our hospital is downgrading services due to financial issues of being a trust and we've been taken over by another hospital so they've took on some of our services and given us no emergency services basically. I would have felt comfortable there with working there so would have been ideal to have these babies there. Never mind though nothing we can do! Is anyone else suffering with really dry lips? Mine won't stop cracking no matter how much lip balm I use. Sorry to hear your little boy is unwell buttonbear hope he feels bettersoon.
What book have you bought Durham? May have to invest in one for my little boy as he loves everything baby related atm xxx

It's called There's a house inside my mummy. I got it in good condition for a couple of pounds on eBay x

How did the viewings go Larly? See you soon in Tri 3

Mayflower sounds like you had a fab London planned, hope you’re not too tired. I love going to musicals but haven’t seen Billy Elliott, I bet it was great.

Hope you tooth/jaw pain has eased a bit Tasha, that sounds awful.

Glad to hear you are feeling less fluey Caseysmummy. I seem to have really dry lips at the moment, in fact really dry skin in general even though I am plastering cream on.

Buttonbear I hope your little boy is feeling better now.

Hope your GTT test goes well on Monday Orion.

Durham that just sounds like the cutest book, that you’ve got your little boy. What did you decide on for dinner in the end?

Elliott tour sounds like it went well, glad it’s made you feel a little more relaxed.

We had a lovely catch up with my sister and my nieces (littlest niece wasn’t happy that our baby isn’t here yet, as she thought she would be by now!), didn’t see my mum in the end and she phoned last night saying she didn’t feel well, then phoned today (sounding like a man) saying she thinks its flu and feels awful and didn’t want me to catch it. Will see other sister and her family tomorrow, as we ended up staying longer at my eldest sisters than planned.

Hope everyone's having a nice relaxing evening xx

Morning everyone! Blake decided 7am was enough of a lie in for a Sunday morning :nap:

Blueeyes- I had Raspberry and white chocolate ice cream cake, OH had chocolate fudge cake and we both had 100g of pick and mix too  Baby went crackers afterwards with the sugar rush- naughty mummy! It was nice, but expensive for what it was.

Morning ladies from our new housey!! I'm in love its just fabulous hehe :D

Hope you are all well and congrats on 24 weeks and double figures yay!!

So ladies I bid u farewell as I'm off to tri 3!!! Will pop back to try n keep up to date with u all tho :)

See u soon

Ooh lots going on, congrats on the single figures, 24 weeks and tri 3 time people!

Congrats on the new house, Button!

See you over there soon, Larly!

Billy Elliot was amazing! I really enjoyed it. Baby was going crazy throughout so I assume it was a response to the music. Then when we got home she was doing the biggest movements I've ever felt, it was bizzare lol.
