****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

Mine are from Next and mamas and papas, they were new without tags from eBay so taking them back wasn't really an option. I'm living in leggings, so I'll just be happy to get some wear out of them :good:

Glad that you had a good day Casey and that your little man is behaving, mine is just waking from his nap, I think we'll play toot toot drivers until tea time as I'm not at work again until Friday this week

I've got new look, next & peacocks. Only ones that fall down r my next ones! Peacocks r the best x

Although they did cost more than i wanted to spend really (I think £28-30 ish) the over the bump bootcut jeans i ended up getting from mothercare have been pretty good so far.

I tried them on at the weekend, I couldn't even get my leg in them lol. That was depressing.

Glad it went ok at work today Caseysmummy, and not long now until your maternity leave.

I got maternity jeans from new look, I knwo others have said they are no good, but these are really comfy. They are the skinny leg over bump ones, yes I have to fold a but over at the moment and that sits under my boobs, but they are comfy and we're very expensive. Also got some black smart (ish) trousers for work from there, again over bump and these are comfy too (again at the moment there's a little fold of material under my boobs. Hoping the fact I have to fold both over a bit they will last me all the way through. I look and feel massive already :-(

I'm smelling the office out today as I keep warming my wheat bag in the microwave to keep it against my back. So every so often these a waft of cereal smell in here :-) I'm now more convinced its not my old disc problem flaring up as heat used to make that worse, so think its pregnancy related. My hips click badly when I get out of bed (and too much info coming up).....when I wipe myself when I go to the loo, you know how you have to open your legs a little to wipe, my left hip makes a massive clunk noise. I have the osteopath Wednesday so will see what they say. I have got physo through midwife but that's not until 20th February and I couldn't wait that long as I was beside myself with the pain the other day.

Hope everyone has a lovely afternoon and evening. I finish at 5 today and counting down already :-) xx

Mayflower - I went up a size, i'm normally a 10 and i got a 12 which seems to be ok at the minute, that could all change in coming weeks mind as feel like i'm eating and eating at the minute having previously not relaly fancied any big meals.

Anyone have any experience of the Tiny Love 3 in 1 rocker/napper? I love the lok of it and reviews seem great. i'm just wondering if it might be a good in the lounge and around the house napping option as it lays down flat or can be angled a bit for when awake/play time. I'm being silly perhaps as i still just have a real thing against moses baskets, the sound and look of them :s

Hello ladies :)

More bad news at work... We've just cut a load of work, won't bore you with the details, but the oil price better go up soon!!! My OH also got another 10% cut today. Hard times. Another credit crunch coming up. Flash back to 2009!

OK, maternity jeans. I bought two from mothercare yesterday. The first ones are stretchy, and fit really well, i haven't worn them yet, so hopefully they will sit well when I am moving about. The second ones are not stretchy, and although they fit me, i will be taking them back, as i fear they will be a tad tight on my backside in a couple of weeks :) Got a size 10, which is amusing, as I am not a 10! I have a chunky bum, so was surprised. Mothercare is obviously generous on sizes.

Blueeyes, seems like loads of ladies are starting to have problems with their backs/hips (good to know yours is not related to your discs - must be a relief!). Funny enough, i have a a wierd pain by my foofoo. It doesn't feel like muscle pain, just feels like I am bruised there, so I think my bones are starting to move about.

Blue eyes, your symptoms definately point towards PGP, everything you've said is familiar (I keep calling it SPD but sphysio said that's wrong and old fashioned!).
Did you get a maternity belt?

Bigbee, sounds like a bad day for you both :( I hope you get some better luck soon x

Thanks Jessie, it's ok... We'll be fine :) I am just worried if our industry is so shit when it's time for me to go back to work, I will struggle to find a job. Cross that bridge later, I suppose...

Blueeyes, have you tried physio?

Jessie, what do you think of your physio? From previous experience (injuries through sport) some of them can be proper shit, a waste of money! I went to one for 4 month to try and fix my shoulder. Then saw someone else, and he sorted it in two sessions.

Enjoy your time off with baby first, worry later :)

Well I'm an expert on PGP, my physio gave me an in depth lesson about it complete with a skeleton and demonstration. I even know all the bone names in my pelvis! I haven't the foggiest how to ease the pain though!
It was basically a biology lesson followed by "see you in amonth". I asked if there was anything I shouldn't be doing or anything I can do to help and she just said do what your body allows you too and rest when it tells you too.
Well it allows me to do nothing! Great thanks lol

Hey ladies we all okay?

Cant believe another of us is being promoted, exciting!!

Ive had a busy day packing again, cleaning, sorting you name it, bored of it now lol!!

Re jean im not a jean fan so i dont own any lol well i have 2 pair of jeggings and thats it. I currently live in various leggings i have one maternity which are over bump which i cannot stand things over my bump for some reason i feel trapped haha! So just have bigger sized normal leggings/tights etc.

Urghhhh horriable few days nausea seems to have returned big time resulting in me having to pull over then vomit hidden behind my car so in glam
Really suffering from constipation and can barely walk crippled with sciatica all my boss could say was perhaps you should get the train in instead of drive if your worried about driving
Yeah cause a hr drive is bad enough doing that on public transport in freezing cold would make it soon much better

NM that's rubbish :( di you think its return of the dreaded morning sickness then rather than a bug?

Btw forgot to say before, congrats getting through your first day back careysmumny! And great news on the earlier leave! How exciting!
Random question - is anyone still wearing underwired bras?

Yes congrats caseysmummy on first day back going okay and that you got your mat leave sorted and not long left!! :)

Jessie, I have had to switch to very un-glam non wired bras, couldn't breathe properly in wired ones... my boobs are massive though!

I haven't worn an under wire bra for a good white now, not for any other reason that the maternity ones o bought it a bigger size didn't have a wire, but I find these so comfy compared to my normal bras pre pregnancy. Thsnk you jessiecat. Im glad I got through it although after sitting down and resting for an hour when I got in, I got up to get something for my son and my groin was in agony and felt like I couldn't walk almost brought me to tears walking the 10 step journey to the kitchen, has eased off agsin now, but I do remember this is what I was signed off with originally so counting the days til I finish work now as I don't want to go through this every night :(. All sorted for work again tomorrow though so think im going to have a bath and go to bed now my little man has gone to bed himself, think he's coming down with something as he's not himself and very clingy and hardly moved since we got home. Im going to see how he is tomorrow just to make sure it's not tiredness, but my gut says it's tonsillitis again. Xxx

Caseysmummy, thumbs up for the first day back :)

Jessie, I am still wearing a wired bra... Wanted to get a couple of maternity ones from Mothercare yesterday but assistants were nowhere to be seen and I needed a pee.

I've heard that wired bras are not so good if the woman wants to breastfeed (which I do)... Is that true? How early should we be wearing maternity bras? Does anyone know?

I'm still in under-wired bras but it is getting uncomfortable now, I've started leaking too so having to wear pads!

I was G cup pre-preg (think I've prob gone up to GG now) and really struggle to find non wired that give me the support I need.

Bigbee it is better to wear non wired for breastfeeding but not essential, its only if they aren't fitting great and the wire is pushing on the gland and milk areas etc which it may well do as boobs grow etc while pregnant. Also while breastfeeding its the same rule as it can cause lots of issues with supply and not only that but Mastitus(which is by far the most awful thing ive experienced!!!!!) from wearing wired bras/too tight bras.

I've been wearing maternity bras since 10 weeks, the underwires were agony! I went from a 36E pre-pregnancy, to a 38F and now 36H! I got measured again on Sat and got new bras again.

I've not worn underwired bras for months, I live in the stretchy belvia style ones now- so comfy!

I can second what button says about mastitis, it felt like I'd got flu, fever and my boob was dying all at the same time  it put an end to my breast feeding too.

I went to lock the door earlier and it's all white outside again! I didn't even see it come down.

My bras don't feel too tight... My boobs have grown loads, so I am wearing my old fat-days bras. I was 32Cish before pregnancy, now I estimate I am about 34Eish...

I wear sports bras at the weekend though :) but yes, need to buy some maternity ones...

Durham, your description of mastitis made me laugh. Shame about the end of breastfeeding though :(
