Baby is measuring 1 day behind but otherwise perfect.
Heartbeat strong at 169 BPM.
Great position.
Measuring just under 2cm.
And definitely just one baby!

We are completely smitten. Look at OH's face! Can't wait to show DD!

Going by my last period I'm due March 8th, from the scan they said March 9th.
If the 12 week scan says the same I'll change date

They’re quite funny with the 12 week scans. They work on the idea that all babies are roughly the same size at that point so update your due date for the average. I can understand them doing this when the date of conception is unknown. The thing is they still do this even when exact dates are known like in ivf. My last one the original due date was 8th Jan. The 12 week scan put it as 3rd Jan and so everything was updated. He actually came on 9th Jan. I was due a sweep the following day and my induction was booked because I was ‘so overdue ‘. I’m less inclined to listen this time.

Honestly I'm not bothered really, the chances of baby arriving on your due date are slim anyway, pretty much pointless moving it for one day lol. If it was a week off then yeah

If you don't mind me asking, did you have to have an internal scan or did it all work nicely with a normal one??

I've been looking into having one but put off with it saying under 10 weeks may need an internal scan. I'm 6+1 and have next to no symptoms and don't feel pregnant at all so a bit nervous having to wait to week 12. Would rather have an indication sooner if things are as they should be.

They did an abdominal scan, but when I booked it they said they may do a vaginal scan if they can't see much abominably. Vaginal scans aren't that bad though, if you end up having one the imaging is a lot clearer x

I had a scan at 6 weeks and they didn’t have to do an internal one. I just made sure I drank a good litre before I went in haha
I have however had the internal scans when they looked at my ovaries, it’s not bad, doesn’t hurt etc it’s pretty straightforward tbh like the ladies say, you get a clearer picture

She told me to come on a full bladder, when when I got there she said it was too full! Lmao, whatever that means, I said 'do you want me to go do half a wee?'

She said it was fine then spent 10 minutes steamrollering my bladder to get a good view.

I’ve just phoned my clinic and my 8 week scan is still going to be an internal one. They’re fine, just not awfully dignified.
