Oh right, should the NHS one I have Friday will they be able to find out the gender?

Had my 16 week appointment today (at 18 weeks) - waste of time! Tedious 90 minute lecture on things we all already knew followed by blood pressure and urine tests. Could have given us the leaflets they gave out anyway and saved us all the time!

Oh no was that a midwife appointment? Didnt they listen to babys heartbeat or even messure ur stumach??

Ive got mine tomorrow, hope my midwife does wat she godda do. Last time i seen her she did nothing.

At midwife appointments, don’t they check baby’s heartbeat anymore them

Current guidelines actually say they shouldn’t be routinely listening in, and should be educating women about how to monitor baby’s wellbeing in other ways, eg by movements

They never checked for DD's heartbeat until twenty-something weeks.
I listen in every other day with our home doppler though, baby's heartbeat is getting so loud and strong now!

So been to see the midwife today and she was so pleased with me, did blood and checked my urine all came bk normal. I got blood group (A Posative) Also she asled me if i wanted to hear babys heartbeat, i slaid yes and she rwplid 'Well dont be disharted if i cant get it, mos women only pick up at 20Weeks' anyway she got it straight away and it was very strong!
Now just godda have a scan and see my consultant at the hospital tomorrow.
Im currently 16W+2D

Dam i should have asked at my scan - didn't even think about it. I would have thought you could hear it alot earlier than that though?

Heard that HeartBeat yesterday. Been for a scan today at Hospital baby was very active (i even seen it flip onto its side) so all is good and healthy. Very very happy
