**March 2018 Mummies - Tri 2**

Ladies I just checked Boohoo and they have a massive sale on their maternity wear for payday, so worth checking out! I am filling my basket as we speak lol.

Maybe at the beginning of the thread we could enter who is team pink, blue or yellow? That way we all know and can keep track lol. Will also be interesting to see if there is a trend!

I'm taking my maternity leave from my due date but taking two weeks annual leave before that. Its enough time for me to have on my own, I would rather spend longer the other side with the baby.x

Loveandpeace, will let you know if I find any ha ha. Got John Rocha floral top it's cotton and elastane. Fits so well. I'm looking for dresses as they look nice. Jeggings and tops are comfier.

Summertime, yesterday I thought about maternity leave. So I will be entitled to 30 days holidays firstly. So do I take holidays first and then start maternity leave? x

Hi ladies,

Charlotte - aw that's good! Yes we did, we got 7 photos, one of which was 4d as we had a sneak peak of her in 4d. She was wriggling around so much and wouldn't open her legs for ages (good girl!) so I had to wriggle to get her to move. The whole scan was recorded which was £10 extra and the scan was 10 minutes. It was pretty obvious but they needed to get baby to open her legs to check there was no pee pee hiding up there. You will be able to tell straight away because comparing to boy scans at 16 weeks the pee pee is so bulgy and obvious. How exciting!

I did the ring on a string test and used the nub theory and both indicated a girl - just FYI.

Thank you Loveandpeace! :) Oh and I use the angel sounds Doppler with bio oil as the jelly and could hear baby's heartbeat from when I got it at 13 weeks. :) I was lucky enough to find baby's heartbeat quickly every time but it gave me an indication of girl as the rate was 145 (they say closer to 110 per minute is boy and 150 is girl). It's just nice to listen to her sometimes, but ofc we don't use it as a reassurance measure.

Summertime, I plan to go on maternity leave on 8th February, so 4 weeks before EDD. That's the plan for now anyway depending on how I feel nearer the time. When is your gender scan or are you not finding out?

xx

Depends what your maternity pay situ is and if you'd like the full pay (holiday time) at the beginning of your mat to help pay for bits you need, or at the end.

I plan to take my holiday at the end as a little boost before going back to work and hopefully funding our first family holiday as a three. xx

Wow it's been busy on here! Nice to see more ladies moving over :)

Thanks for the boohoo tip, going to look now! Like the pink/blue/yellow idea, if anyone wants me to update the first post please let me know - I haven't got the patience to go back and work it all out from earlier messages :oooo:

And I'm planning to work as late as I can - hopefully up to Feb half term (I'm a teacher) which will be a week or ten days before I'm due. Just want to have as long with the baby as I can after it's born. My maternity pay isn't amazing so going to be tight in the last few weeks... Having said that by February I might have had enough of stroppy teenagers and finish early!

Babylove, it's amazing you were able to see baby's gender yourself. I guess at this stage it's easier to understand.

How much was your scan? Mine is going to be 30 min. Plenty of time to enjoy it. :)

I really like the idea of team blue, pink, yellow.

I am currently yellow until I find the gender out next week. :)

I booked a gender scan yesterday, 3 weeks today and we'll know :-)

We are staying team yellow, though get tempted to find out every time I go past the baby scan place!!

Excited for my midwife appointment next week and *fingers crossed* hearing the heartbeat.

I've gone with 36 weeks to finish work but the first week will be annual leave so maternity leave will start at 37. I would try and work later if it was baby #1 but keen to get some one to one time with my son before the baby arrives, with working full time I don't get chance to take him to any pre school groups etc.

It can't be long until the early March Mummies have gender scans??

I'm still feeling quite tired as busy at work so long days and then looking after my son is tiring me out more than normal but going to bed as early as I can to make sure getting 8 hours sleep a night - with a few trips to the loo!

I've booked private gender scan tomorrow. So looking forward to finding out. :)

My oh is excited too. So we are both going there in the afternoon.

Ive been so tempted to book a Private Gender scan but in the end we decided to wait, Ive got my 20 week scan on the 19th October so not much longer to wait, I`am going to be buying a Gender reveal balloon to announce the Gender to our family :-) X

How exciting Charlotte! Are you hoping for a boy or gir??

Not much longer Lou - it looks like you have one boy and one girl already? Do they have a preference? my little boy really wants a brother - refuses to accept it might be a sister!!

Summertime - my little boy was also insisting on having a brother, wouldn't even consider having a sister! We had a gender scan at 16 weeks and found out that we're having a little girl! Our son came with us to the scan, you should have seen his little face drop when the lady said it was a girl, bless him. The disappointment only lasted about 5 minutes though and he is now happy to be having a little sister and has happily been helping to pick out lots of girly pink things for her :)

Oh bless him Dee! Glad he's now got used to the idea and is enjoying picking pink things :-)

Charlotte...so exciting!! Bet you can't wait to find out tomorrow!!

We will be staying team yellow too. Liked the surprise last time although it is very tempting to find out I must admit.

Am currently feeling shattered as am trying to potty train my 22 month old son! He did so well yesterday on day one but today it's just been plain awful. So many accidents! He's been in a funny mood though; not listening, being silly which isn't like him. Any tips?? Should I stop? Just so want him out of nappies before bubba number two comes xx

Almost 19 weeks now and still waiting for this pregnancy glow they talk about! My skin is so oily and spotty and hair is horrible too!

Summertime - Yes i have one boy & one girl already, My daughter is hoping for a girl she really wants a sister, My son is only 10 months so doesnt really understand when i tell him he`s going to be a big brother, I would really love another boy if i could choose, I feel like this baby is a girl but we will have to see on the 19th October. Even though its my third baby its still just as exciting X

Well couple hours and I will find out the gender. Can't wait :)

Time seems to go so slow this morning.

Just got back from scan. It was amazing girls!

We are having a boy :) So happy!!!!!!!!

I had lunch before the scan and baby was very active. The lady said cause I had food just before scan. So girls top tip always eat before having scans.

My partner and I we wrote our gender guesses on the piece of paper before we went in and did not show each other. Then after the scan we showed each other what we thought. We both thought it's a boy :)

Very happy :)

Who else is having scan?
