*****March 2016 Mummies*****

But I just look like I've put on weight rather then any actual bump of any description, baggy tops are the way forward lol

We're also keeping it a secret until 12 weeks as we didn't with our first and would now like to. But worried it's going to be obvious though as the weekend before our 12 week scan is my brothers wedding and it might seem odd that I'm not drinking at all and also I'm going to struggle to hide a slight bump I think - I showed quite early with baby number 1 and now I already feel like I have a bloating bump - doesn't help that I haven't lost the weight from the first baby though!

Feeling really nauseous today and the insane hunger started yesterday - honestly felt like I needed to eat every hour! My little girl seems to be going through a needy clingy phase so I can't even leave the room without her crying so I'm finding that pretty exhausting but otherwise everything is good :)

Baggy tops are indeed the way forward mummyedgar! X

Morning everyone. I had a other early morning wake-up and then ended up going back to sleep at gone 7!!! Fortunately my hubbie was at home this morning because he had a doctor's appointment so he looked after the kids and I managed to squeeze in an hour lie-in!

All good so far! this mornings scan confirmed baby is 8 weeks and 3 days (as I thought). Another one in a couple of weeks.

Still no major symptoms, just a bit of nausea and sore breasts every now and again.

I'm being soooo lazy this week , my daughters on her hols with my dad and the OH works away , so I booked a weeks hol from work to rest :) ...and now I'm BORED! Just done some online shopping.

I cooked a slow cooked stew for myself yesterday , ate too much and had awful belly ache and today I can't stand the smell of my own home :(

How's everyone else? X

Congrats to more new Mummies!

Squemers that's fab! Congrats!

Birdo I cooked a roast chicken the other day and could smell everywhere...I was convinced it was on my pillow...set off nausea at bedtime! Bleugh! Xx

Yay congrats squemers! That's so good they gave you a pic too. I've got one on Tuesday so I'm going to ask nice! x

We had the scan and I asked for a pic. She said 'buy the token and I'll give the picture to Sarah' (ie the woman I was seeing next). When I went to give the token to Sarah ten minutes later, she said 'keep it for the next time' and winked at me. Bless them. It's obviously a way of generating a few quid for the hospital but the staff want to give them for free!

Fab photo squemers!

Just realised there is an April 2016 mummy thread! We aren't the newbies anymore! :) xx

Evening all! Hope your all well! My nausea has defo gone, haven't felt it in a week now, not sure how I feel about it, reading Loads of "missing symptoms" threads is making me paranoid! I suppose I shall see when the scan rolls around, when it finally does!

Otherwise I'm feeling good, big and bloated and suffering that familiar toilet issue but energy levels picking up which is great!

Well the crazy hunger has well and truly kicked in today - I just can't stop eating! If I don't eat I get really nauseous. Was sure I was going to be sick this morning but I wasn't - just a matter of time I suspect! X

How is everyone today? Had my 12 week scan letter come through for 2nd Sept...hubby is in France with work:cry: will have to ring up and reschedule...maybe they'll have an earlier one...maybe wishful thinking! xx

Hello Ladies

Im Nikki and am from wonderful yorkshire but theres a catch I live in Switzerland. I read all the posts in this thread and you are all such supportive and friendly group. As this is all a secret and don't have my family close I thought this was a great place to join for friendly chat and support over the next nine month journey.

I live with my husband he's Italian from Florence and we have been here for 7 years together. Im 31 and this is my first baby and Im 7+5 (seems strange to write that WOW):)

The little chickpea has a heartbeat and well just settling into all the new changes my body is going through.

Well Ive joined the knicker watch ! After a bleed which was red on Saturday I went to EPU and had a scan and it was my cervex that was bleeding which can happen with all the pregnancy hormones.

The little chickpeas heart was still beating strongly and everything inside was in great condition. However this was very scary and I also had brown spotting on and off since but with no cramps. Now I accept that this can be part and parcel of the first trimester and am doing the best I can not to panic (v.difficult) with a healthy diet and making all of the correct lifestyle changes and am positive that we (me and chickpea) will be just fine.

Feeling sick at random times of the day, sore boobs and yes that awful switch between the runs and constipation ugh oh and the 9:30 bed times:nap: and the 3:30 am toilet break

I look forward to sharing this incredible journey with all of you lots of love, peace, health and happiness to you and your families :dust:

Nikki xox

Congratulations! Lovely to hear your story so far. Glad the bleed was nothing major to worry about. Try to relax now and enjoy the next 8 months!! Xx

Hi Nikki, congrats! Defo a good sign that bleeding has gone brown so try not to worry - easier said than done!

I've defo got the hunger too, but for picking at food. Feel sick at meals. I'd also forgotten just how tiring tri 1 is - I can't stay awake and no matter how much I sleep I'm exhausted! Not good working and with a 16 month old!

Hi Nikki and congratulations. Like you this pregnancy is secret for us - just hubbie and me. We suspect that our families will be a bit surprised as this is number three for us - nearly four years since my last son - and we just want to enjoy it before all the questions. (Was it planned, did you really want all those sleepless nights again, I bet you're hoping for a girl??? Etc etc).

Anyway, I wish you a happy and healthy nine months! Hopefully we can all keep chatting on here! It really is keeping me sane. Xx

T84 I'm with you on the exhaustion. My 7 month old had me up at 4am then fought sleep until I got up with her at 6.15am. Then she refused her normal bedtime and screamed from 7pm til 8.30pm. I managed a couple of short naps when she was sleeping but it's not enough. I don't really get in bed until 11.30/12 because I'm up giving her a dream feed and expressing milk. So really feeling the strain! X
