Ltttcers unite! Making babies after IVF/IUI

That's a really good way of imagining the embryos, I get paranoid about exercising too but really want to tone up before my holiday in July so need to get started.
Blueflower, I agree, ignore statistics, they are proven wrong all the time. If we just all keep trying I am sure we will get there xx

Good idea for a thread! I'm fed up with being told our chances naturally are only 5% each month. After reading Marissa Peer's book I have a much more positive outlook!

We are going to bd more often and I am going to keep up the supplements, keep my caffeine intake down, cut down on artificial sweeteners but still have a few wines to relax! Nearly the same as for ivf but less strict!

Exactly ! it's still means anything is possible, they can stuff it up their jumper :-) x

I often forget the uterus is like a deflated balloon with both sides together like a sandwich, I keep thinking its got a big empty space in there but the jam image is very helpful for thinking about how snug the embryos actually are.

I was also thinking, is there a chemical that changes the endometrium ready for implantation? If we have ivf etc maybe that doesn't happen as its all artificial. Or is the extra progesterone supposed to trigger it?

I think there is some kind of chemical thing but I assume it still happens with IVF. I am sure it mentioned something about chemicals in that article I put on your thread? where it said they sometimes place the embryos back on the wrong day xx

Just read it again, it says the biopsy indicates the day the endometrium is most receptive to an embryo so that would mean that it does become receptive in ivf. They mentioned a woman who's uterus was only ready on day 7 after ovulation /egg collection so if that was the case you would need to get the embryos frozen I suppose?

Just a little ray of hope to you ladies.. I know someone who had very scarred Fallopian tubes and was told they would never conceive naturally. They had 7 rounds of IVF and then when the last one failed they decided to take a break from it and so stopped folic acid and stopped trying and got pregnant naturally!! Talk about a small miracle! A good example of how the odds can mean nothing!! Xx

Folic acid is the culprit! They must be brainwashing us to take it to keep the population down, haha! (Sorry for being flippant!) That is a nice story though. :)

Yeah I guess that would be the only way around it, I bet there are not a lot of clinics open to it xx

So how is everyone doing? I think Ov might be on the way soon for me. I am CD12 and pre IVF and miscarriage I would have ov'd on CD13 or 14, my opk is still light so I don't think I will get a positive tomorrow but hopefully not far off. Got first BD in yesterday, its good timing to be fertile over the bank holiday weekend, my OH gets so tired when working, sleep by 10 and I am a night owl, often awake much later xx

Us too! I am a night owl and DH is an early bird! It will be handy when we have our babies! Got some twinges that could be ovulation, it's cd9, and we bd'd today! But I had a similar twinge after down regulation and there wasn't any egg then!

You're right, will be good for night feeds :) I hope the twinges are your ovaries gearing up to release a whopping big egg xx

Hi all how's everyone doing?? Been MIA and on second cycle since IVF still trying naturally in the mean time. More importantly did you all see Keepitcrossed's bfp news... so so happy she's gone on to get her natural bfp since ivf cycle :) xx

Hiya, I saw it, how amazing. Just shows it can happen for all us IVF/IUI ladies :)
I am good thanks, still trying here too, its our second cycle since the miscarriage so still early days, not sure if had a chemical last month as had some positive tests but could have just been dodgy tests. Seeing the bfp earlier gave me a nice boost of positivity xx

Yes we can all do it! Also fx for the ladies going through the ivf at the moment :) I'll be dipping in and out to check on everyone's progress too xx

Ladies I'm a massive example of trying naturally while waiting... Never give up hope as it can happen... You will all get there hopefully. Staying positive helped us massively and now 5 weeks away from our dream. Sending lots of baby dust this way xxx

Yes a 2015 LT BFP at last!

Can't believe its nearly time Lucyboo, do you know what you are having?

I'm trying to keep positive, hoping for a good egg and all the conditions to be right! Really don't want to have to vo down the PGS or donor egg route so we need a miracle before then!

We are team yellow blueflower. I have no idea where the time has gone but I want to see you all over the other side soon x

Wow, only 5 weeks away :) Am I right in remembering that you had either high fsh or low amh? Apologies if I have got you mixed up with someone else. I have both and worry it can't happen naturally for us sometimes (more positive lately though) so its reassuring when I know from women on here that it really can happen xx

Yep Lisey that's right I had really high FSH levels. Can't remember what they went up to but was really high but managed to get down slightly on diet etc.. One thing that happened the month we conceived was I started baby aspirin and with my acupuncture I had something used called a 'moxa box' it was a heated thing put on my tummy. Worth looking into. I like to give hope to those of you still waiting for your miracle as positivity helped us massively. Xx
