Hi all,

I thought it would be nice to have a thread for all of us who have had IVF or IUI and are now trying naturally. It might be a nice place for general chit chat or to exchange things we are doing/trying to boost our chances and of course to share when we all get our BFPS!!

We can do this ladies :sperm: :egg: :pink::yellow::blue:

yay love the title ! Great thread Lisey :-) we will do this x x

Yeah I thought it'd be nice for us to all have a place to chat, there are all sorts of thread for particular circumstances, we need one too :) xx

Hurrah for us! Im in... team MABs (making a baby) :)

Thanks for this new start Lisey. And lots of baby luck to every one of you lovely friends in here :)

xx

I'm in too! Even though my iuis we're last year i think i still count! X

Of course you still count Sarah :) I hope this thread is filled with bfps in the coming months from the team MABS-I like that xx

So what is everyone doing that's different to before ?

For us, hubby is on his smoothies and supplements, we are going to bd everyday and not leave it more than a day between dtd and hubby just says we are "going to go at it" he has a fab way with words lol plus lots of positivity and I am now not allowed to test at all, unless hubby is there with me, he was really upset last time when I tested early then we realised because I've always hated the disappointment I like to know to prepare but no not anymore :-)

I am doing pretty much the same as before, I have added an antioxidant vitamin though as read its good for eggs. I am not having acupuncture though but might go back again in a month or so. I think I might make more of an effort to dtd after ov though as usually not too fussed the day after ov as I assume its too late but you never know xx

I'm taking a load more supplements specifically geared for egg quality and to help endo and added an extra to hubby's too, I've had some acupuncture again and this month were basically doing smep, really believe all tense things will help xx

Consultant was happy with my stages, she just said we needed to improve egg quality. Still eating lots of protein, drinking decaf tea and coffee and switched to eating white chocolate! Hardly drink alcohol anyway so that's no hardship. Still taking Pregnacare. What is new for me is taking 1000mg omega 3 and 200mg of CoQ10.

With our next cycle of ivf they're changing the type of progesterone, giving me baby aspirin to improve the blood flow to my ovaries and giving me testosterone before stims to make the eggs stronger.

All sounds good ladies... keepitcrossed thats great you'll have different things next time to make it work! Im yet to get any feedback from my ivf cycle though I think the protocol for FET will include different medication to use.

But right now im intending on starting a new healthy eating regime to lose the 7lb gain from ivf as I probably started nesting too early :/ im on folic acid & omega 3 only as wanting to see if my cycles will return to 26days after treatment. Im interested in making fertility smoothies that Sarahs said and get some maca and spirulina etc. Getting myself out for power walks from tomorrow too! Its all go now ladies xx

all sounds fab girlies :-) I am trying to get over the weird thing in my head that I cant exercise in the tww as it will shake an embryo out!!! So i have just ran on the treadmill that hubby has bought me for five mins ! Although I'm now paranoid as I have a little cramp and maybe I've shaken it out !!! Grrrrrr

Think of your embryo as a grain of sand in some jam stuck between 2 slices of bread, that isn't going anywhere :)

Good idea for a thread! I'm fed up with being told our chances naturally are only 5% each month. After reading Marissa Peer's book I have a much more positive outlook!

We are going to bd more often and I am going to keep up the supplements, keep my caffeine intake down, cut down on artificial sweeteners but still have a few wines to relax! Nearly the same as for ivf but less strict!
