Ladies I apologise in advance for tmi, so, dh and I had sex last night and when we turned on the light there was bright red blood everywhere! Honestly it looked like a massacre.

I know that sex is safe when pregnant and you can experience some bleeding but not like this, it doesn’t seem a very good sign does it

Poor DH was devastated thinking he’d dislodged the baby or something and I’ve tried to explain to him this early on there is literally nothing you can do to prevent or cause a mc.

Aw no iris. That's doesn't sound good....or enjoyable! Try not to give up hope it could be that he has irritated something. Resting or the docs is the only way you will know for sure. I would go to a and e if I had bled that much. Xx

The bleeding stopped as soon as we finished, and there was no pain and no spotting this morning. I honestly don’t know what is going on!

I’m still trying to hold out for a few days before I test again although being in town for work today I’m not sure how I’ll resist the temptation to buy some more tests!

You a stronger woman than me! I took 5 tests in total the first day I got a positive. Keeping all the fingers and toes crossed for you. OH might have just caught and irritated something.. .let's hope that's the reason x

I don’t want to be the Debbie downer or anything but the only time that has happened to me is when it started my AF off. Hopefully it’s not that. I’d test tomorrow if you can hold out.

I can bleed after sex literally at any time of the month I must have a very delicate cervix! I did bleed about 3 days before my positive test after sex as well, I thought that was a sign af was on the way then too although was a lot lighter.

I’m not holding out much hope, only plus side is no spotting so far this morning. I also bought 3 more tests when driving into work this morning they only had ‘freedom’ ones or the first response 45 seconds ones and I’m not sure how good either are.

FR 45 secs I think Is possibly 50miu but could be 25. I would guess the random ones are probably 50miu.

I’m a day late according to my ovulation strips...although I suppose I could be due on today as I tested with weak urine and never got a strong result this month...so I went on which opk was the darkest. Anyway, it’s a long cycle for me...today is day 31 and the last time I had a 30 day cycle was over a year ago. I’ve had spotting once on Friday morning and nothing since, which is unusual for me..,usually spot for a few days before af. So I took the plunge and took a pregnancy test this morning which has been sitting in my cupboard for months (usually get af by day 28 so never get a chance to get my hopes up!) and it was a negative as negative can be. Ugh, so fed up of this. On top of this I’m struggling a bit with the January blues!
I’m guessing I’ll come on today but if I don’t, then that concerns me! I hope I ovulated properly this month!

Sugary I tend to find from ladies on here, digis are often positive after a blazing on a FRER.
My SIL used a digi when her af was 6 days late and it gave her accurate results. I would wait until after your af is meant to be due x

Seconding what Char has said, i would test tomorrow. I got my bfp on a monday, was due AF on the Wednesday, so took the digi on the Saturday with fmu so 3 days after i was due on, and it came back with pregnant 2-3 weeks FX this is it for you x

The clearblue digital weeks indicator digis are actually quite sensitive - I think it’s either 15miu or 25 at the most, the other clearblue digis where it just says pregnant or not pregnant are a lot less sensitive, I think 50miu, good luck iris I really hope this one sticks for you and you see the magical words on your digi when you do it x

Thank you so much ladies, I’m feeling a bit more positive this afternoon, the spotting has stopped which I hope is a good sign. I’m going to try and hold on to the morning and I keep repeating to myself, the more sticks I pee on won’t change things either way so I’m just best to wait and see.

Honestly don’t know what I would do without you ladies.

Aw got everything crossed for you @SugaryIris the fact that you can bleed after sex anyway means it must be normal for you and your cervix. Also, the fact you’ve not bled since is positive. Try to keep positive and rest as much as possible x

Haha @IVW I probably agree....if bleeding may happen with sex anyway maybe give it a few days.

I'll be honest I'm now 9+3 and we haven't had sex yet since my BFP. It just hasn't felt right...I've had zero sex drive and I think OH feels cautious. I'm hoping we can get back in the saddle after dating scan but right now I'm quite happy not being poked about....feel far from sexy lol.

I took my digi weeks indicator I think it was 2 days before I was due and got positive 1-2 weeks so I think they are pretty sensitive. Will be checking first thing tomorrow for your results xx
