i got this idea from Valentine (thanks :) )

i think today is the best time to start this :)

ill post my expieriences here. i hope you enjoy the read :)

it was the best day of my life when i found out i was pregnant. i just couldnt believe it. i took another test the next day and that was positive too. i made an appointment with the doc. he didnt do another test. as these are so accurate. he told me to make a booking in appt at the desk which i did.

i got a phone call from the MW the next day. so quick. and my appointment was the following day.

she took my family history, tested my urine (which i still cant remember what for lol) and took some blood for different things including hiv. she asked if i had any worry of hiv. i said 'not until you said that' she said she was booking me in for a dating scan as i didnt know my dates

i had my dating scan a few weeks later. it was really good. a little dissapointing though as im not as far along as id hoped. i got told i was 7.5weeks.

it was great to see bean though. and made it all the more real. i was really worried there wouldnt be anything there.

here is my scan pic:
scan7.jpg

you can see lil bean in the bottom left. so tiny.

i cant wait till the 12week scan on 2nd january. hopefully be able to see more then :)

they still didnt give me a EDD. i expect they will do that on the 12week scan. but ive updated my ticker with the help of valentine (thanks)

my sister came round last night. this was the night planned to tell her about lil bean. i wrapped her scan pic in frame and nice paper. let everyone sit down (me, oh, her, mom and dad) with coffees. then gave her her prezzie. unsure of how she would take it i was abit apprehensive.

she was exstatic. jumping round the room :D she then hit my arm 'ouch' still screeming lol. went out the room to compose herself. it didnt work much lol.

needless to say she was very happy. if not abit miffed id beat her. in her words:

'my 5yrs younger sister beat me'

she asked about EDD birth ect. and then said

'thats why you dodged the question when i asked if you wanted to go drinking on xmas eve'

so all in all im very happy with the outcome. i just wish id had a video camera set up

im feeling a little better than yesterday. i got more sleep last night. as im crate training one of my dogs. and the night before he yelped all night long. that doubled with an uncomphy sofa bed (in the living room) it wasnt good lol. but he slept until 6.30am today so im not 'as' tired.

im sure ill start feeling more sick throughout the day. hopefully not though lol.

current avversions:
Spagetti hoops. last time i had them i was nearly sick.

current symptoms:
nausea
tiredness
occasional pains which im hoping is because everything is stretching
so theres me so far. hope you enjoyed :D

Hey Keslo,

Welcome to the diary club! So glad you started one too, I'm so nosy that I love reading about the ins and outs of people's lives.

I'm so glad your sister is happy and reacted so well - you need a bit of people jumping up and down and getting excited (I'm sooo looking forward to that bit).

You should put in some info about your scan (and the pic) and the confusion over your EDD and how many weeks you were in case anyone missed it.

Quick question - what is crate training?

How are you feeling just now? Any symptoms?

Hi

Im glad your sister is excited must make you feel so happy

Hi Kelso, I will be following too! What a clever doggy getting Mum ready for sleepless nights already!!

Your sister's reaction is fab! I had lots of reactions like that as noone thought I ever wanted a baby!

I hope you enjoy every minute of being pregnant :D

thanks guys :)

ive updated the original post with more information :)

crate training is like a big dog cage, which protects your dogs and also your home.

it also helps with house training :)

What a clever doggy getting Mum ready for sleepless nights already!!

indeed. id prefer to get as much sleep as possible until i meet bean though

felt very sick today. adam made me some food. and it was HUGE  my moms told him not to make me big meals. i felt worse at the sight of it

:cheer: congrats hun!
Its the best feelin in the world when u get that + sign!
XX

Hey Keslo,

How are you feeling today? I am feeling really weird at the moment (see my diary for info) and I was just wondering how you were doing at a similar stage to me?
Congrats on getting to 9 weeks (bet it feels like deja vu though!)

I had spaghetti hoops last night for tea on toast with loads of marg - yum! Everyday, what I want to eat changes - some days I can't stand the thought of sausage casserole, another day - it's the only thing I want. It's making meal planning a real pain in the a*s!

Lots of love to you and bean

Hey Keslo?

How are you this weekend? Any exciting titbits of info about your pregnancy?

As you are two days ahead of me, I'm expecting you to tell me all the gory details!

hiya. was feeling really sick last night in bed. thinking of what id had for tea. thought i was actually going to be sick.

my appitite is wierd. some things i just cant eat.

spaggetti hoops :puke:

OH thinks my hormones are sky high. i just think he is bugging me lol.

he let me carry 2 bags of dog food and a bag of food home the other day. nice huh. my shoulders were killing the next day :( still not right now.

other than that there isnt really much to add.

will go check out your diary now :)

my sister came round today in her lunch break. we chatted about pregnancy. i wound her up saying so you wont be my birth partner then. she got abit worried and said 'well i will but im not going down there'

showed her a page from my preg magazine (which OH nicely got for me)
it showed a woman having her baby delivered.

it really scared her lol. but saying that it scared me too lol.

thats about it for me.

eating pattern is still wierd. i get really hungry then can only eat about 3 things lol.

Hehe Keslo, teasing about being a birthing partner is funny.

I am glad you said the picture scared you. I can't bring myself to look at books or TV programmes about childbirth. I had to watch a child birth video with my class on Friday in Sex Ed.......I am TERRIFIED!!!

I try to be reasonable and think that millions of women do it more than once, so it can't be THAT bad....oh someone, please reassure me, is it THAT bad???? :?

from what ive heard, the pains are bad. but you forget about the afterwards. and hey, it will all be worth it in the end :D

gna cook me some spicy chicken and chippies i think. yum yum

I have to admit giving birth was one of the most painful experiences of my life but the strange thing is you just get on with it. Your body tells you what to do. I was very scared leading up to the birth of my son but now its all a blur ( mark is 17 weeeks) couldnt have been that bad as we are pregnant again already!!!
Came as a bit of a shock but its better this time knowing what to expect. Just as exciting though. Im approx 8 weeks so my babies will only be 1 year appart. cant wait for my 12 week scan. It all becomes so much more real then.
Enjoy your pregnancy hope you and bean are well.

Hi

I was so scared before i had Kiara but honestly it wasnt as bad as all the horror stories you hear, and right afteri was like ill do this again
Glad your doing good Kelso.
Katrina

thanks for the replys :)

me and Oh had some pesonal time this morning. and i was really worried after that id hurt the baby  is that silly?

i also got quite mad this morning. i went to the computer and the screen wasnt on stand-bye like i left it. so asked OH if he'd been on it and he said no.

i later find out through the history that he had. and it turned into abit of an arguement.

i hate him lying to me.

its an easy enough question.

grrrr.

10 WEEKS today Woohoo

only 2 weeks to go until im into the safer period. but im sure then ill obsess about something else

the only reason i done it is because he is being secretive (xmas time i know) but all he has to say is 'yes i did use the comp'

but cuz he lyed it made me want to prove he had done it.

he also said he got a call from my dad. so i said. i would have liked to talk to him 'oh he was breaking up'

rang dad to say id probs be going into town. he said OH had rang him.

which then turned into another arguement.

i really do understand he is being secretive because hes organising my xmas prezzie. but its not like im saying... tell me what it is now. im just saying if you go on the comp/phone tell me. which i dont think is unreasonable.

im protective over my computer anyway. cant live without my comp.

ive been feeling better the last few days, nausea wise. its a good thing, because i wasnt enjoying it. just suppose im abit worried about little bean.

ive al noticed my boobs are getting bigger wohoo. i just looked down and thought 'where did they come from'

thats about it from me i think.

hope everyone is well

Hi Keslo

thanks for sharing your diary. Between you and Valentine you just about cover all my symptoms and current experiences.

I know exactly what you mean about the pc. I changed my password again tonight and told my OH off for trying to read my posts here over my shoulder. :D Poor man, he's often in the doghouse these days, I think I'll go give him a hug of reassurance.

Have a nice weekend.

not really much to update.

i need to make an appointment with the doc to up my folic acid tablets as my moms first baby had spina biffida.

tried making an appointment with my midwife. but couldnt get one until january  she told me to make an appointment to see her asap as soon as i told my mom.

i had a dream the other night that i had a really easy birth, no pain. 3 pushes no stitches. hopeful thinking huh

my tummy is deffinately getting bigger. mom says at this stage it is water retention for the baby. no bump as such.

im getting more excited the closer to the 12week marker i get.

been very tired. no chance of a lye in with rebel lol. little ******

how is everyone feeling?

got my appetite back abit which is good :D

talking of that. think im gna cook some food. mmmm

Hi Keslo

thanks for reminding me to take my folic acid tablet today :)

Sorry to hear about your mum's first born. I hope you can get to see your GP soon. Did you get some tabs from him? I just got mine from the chemist as soon as I knew I was pg.

*Fingers crossed* your dream will be a premonition hey? That'd be nice. I have had a lot of vivid dreams lately (two horrible ones last night actually). Maybe it's the pregnancy and all that's going on in our minds.

I also feel quite tired. There always seems stuff to do, not just housework, but Christmas shopping, wrapping etc. I'll be glad when Christmas is actually here!

Have you got an appt for the next scan yet?

Have a good week, keep writing, it's good to read your diary.

 Sabrina
